Duncan is such a handsome young man but I have a feeling he knows it.

I wanted to hang clothes out all day but the rain never really materialised- a few spits- no more. I have had the heating on all day.

‘Evening All’.

A ‘nothing’ sort of a day. No arrangements. No walking as it’s been cold and wet. Rang my stepfather, read a few chapters of my book. Himself is watching the Cup Final in the other room. Apparently it was 0-0 at halftime which sounds pretty boring.

Wishing everyone a peaceful night ahead. And maybe some sunshine I’m fed up of this cold wet weather. It’s so dispiriting. x

Hello lovely kitcheners - I’m sitting looking at a beautiful view in our little holiday cottage on the west coast of Scotland. We’re just here for a couple of nights for a relaxing break and a change of scenery
Tea is Charlie Brighams Moussaka which is in the oven now and a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc awaits
DH is watching the football and so all is well

It has been a lovely day here in our kitchen. I have enjoyed catching up. Although, I am well aware that I may have missed mentioning some of you lovely lot. Nothing intentional. Please believe me.

Away to do a few Saturday jobs. Nothing tiring or stressful. After which, sit down with the newspaper and look forward to our fish and chip supper. Later still, a lovely glass of Gin and tonic. Yay!

Maw, it's unbelievable that Flynn is five today. What happened to that happy wee toddler? I do hope the weather allowed him to have his treasure hunt. He and his friends will be having a fine time chasing around the woods. Here we have constant light rain and although it's supposed to be milder, I feel cold.
Hellloggirl, Billy is a real 'find', a fine figure of a cat who would rival my black and white grandcat if they were on opposite ends of a see-saw. ? Like Rosie, he has obviously fallen on his paws.

Yes, CharleyG, but he`d previously had another home and went missing, then the lady who had him was going into a home, so signed him over to the CPL, who scanned him and he`d come from 300yds along the road. He went back, but fought with his sister, back to CPL, then back to the other lady, who died the other week, and his original owners didn`t want him back.
He`s so friendly and affectionate, loves being fussed, just doesn`t like being picked up. I think my husband would have liked him.

Billy is a larger version of Tara who was 3.5kg in her prime. Good to hear he enjoys cuddles, he really is handsome. Did his previous owner die?

You’re absolutely right Hellogirl she does! She is smaller but her colouring is very similar. Pure luck of the draw, I have had most colours of greyhounds - fawn, brindle , white/black, black and now white/black again. Never had a blue (=grey) one though!
