Well the barber’s are open so he must be choosing this look. Ageing rocker?

Do you like it or not? Nothing political (preferably)!

merlotgran Wed 28-Apr-21 21:21:55

I quite like it.

Not sure why.

BlueSky Wed 28-Apr-21 21:31:16

Still a good looking man of 68, now vaguely bohemian. It is a bit of a shock when they show photos of him when he was PM and then they zoom on him now. I guess the same could be said for all of us!

grannyrebel7 Wed 28-Apr-21 21:39:07

I like it think it suits him. My DH is a bit of a barber dodger atm. He looks like a cross between Boris and Freddie Boswell!

diygran Wed 28-Apr-21 21:42:51

Used to quite like Tony. Fraid I got a shock at his current look. Suit, shirt looking fine. Hair could look fine given a trim at the back.
Can you guess just gave OH a haircut this morning?

Sara1954 Wed 28-Apr-21 21:49:25

I think he looks pretty good for his age, I find him quite attractive now, when he was PM I thought he looked a bit peculiar.

muffinthemoo Wed 28-Apr-21 21:52:08

well this is who I thought of

Mapleleaf Wed 28-Apr-21 21:59:19

Oh dear, he needs to get to the barbers - quick!

Mapleleaf Wed 28-Apr-21 22:01:20

To be fair though, when was the photo taken? Perhaps he’s been to the barber since the picture was taken.

CanadianGran Wed 28-Apr-21 22:06:41

Much better than your current PM! He's a mess.

I think more British men wear their hair longer than here. Just an observation from what I see on television. Of course it could be just actors and artistic types.

suep1953 Wed 28-Apr-21 22:08:59

Maybe he’s going to be the new Doctor Who ?

Jaxjacky Wed 28-Apr-21 22:11:15

Pantglas2 Ginola yes, Blair no.

Callistemon Wed 28-Apr-21 22:12:08

I hear on the grapevine that he is auditioning for Gandalf in a remake of The Hobbit

Shhh- it's a secret

Lucca Wed 28-Apr-21 22:21:28

Jaxjacky

Pantglas2 Ginola yes, Blair no.

Ginola could wear his hair any way he liked as far as I’m concerned ....??

Urmstongran Wed 28-Apr-21 22:23:33

absent

His hair starts a long way back so perhaps allowing it to grow into a mullet is an attempt to deny that he will be 68 on 6 May. The only reason I am aware of his age is because Mr absent, for some reason, used to like to point out that he is five days older than Mr Blair. Men are weird.

Ditto here absent.
Himself shares the birthday (6th May) but he’s a year older. He hasn’t had a facelift or fillers though to my knowledge.

Maybe that’s why he looks older by more than a year?
?
Or maybe it’s because he’s married to me ...

Urmstongran Wed 28-Apr-21 22:30:11

Oh no, just found this photo in the archives!

Hope he didn’t think back then ‘yeah Phil’s nailed the look for an older bloke’.

tickingbird Wed 28-Apr-21 22:32:16

Yuk! Looks awful.

mamaa Wed 28-Apr-21 23:17:53

Didn’t like it and had to look up how old he was- he looks older than 68 IMO. Ginola on the other hand carries this look off very well, along with wearing loafers sans socks…

SueDonim Wed 28-Apr-21 23:56:33

He’s gone for the Peter Stringfellow look!

He looks awful, imo. I can’t believe he’s only 67, he looks at least a decade older.

Nancy0 Thu 29-Apr-21 00:06:51

Oh dear ... I don't think this is a good look for Tony ...he could do better with suave and sophisticated!!!

Riverwalk Thu 29-Apr-21 06:47:38

I can't stand the man but surprisingly think it suits him!

At least he's not dyeing it, yet, as many ageing rock stars do.

Calendargirl Thu 29-Apr-21 06:56:40

Puts me in mind of Keith Richards

Well, if anything might encourage Tony to go to the barbers....

Gingster Thu 29-Apr-21 07:10:50

No,no,no! Tony.! He used to be a not bad looking man, but this hairdo does nothing for him. He hasn’t aged well and his long hair makes him look older than his years.

TerriBull Thu 29-Apr-21 07:35:36

We're Mr and Mrs Bog-Standard and have both managed to get our hair sorted, I would have thought Tone with such a powerful network at his disposal would have been able to get a crimper to trim his silver locks at the very least by now, I can only imagine he likes it like that. He looks very reminiscent of a serious version of the late Peter Stringfellow to me shock

Anniebach Thu 29-Apr-21 07:40:13

Many women dye their hair at that age Riverwalk as well as ageing rock stars

TerriBull Thu 29-Apr-21 07:42:55

Oh I see you are of the same opinion Sue Donin, well as long as he doesn't emulate PS in other ways, I'd hate to imagine him with a bevy of semi naked women lurking in the background!
