Well the barber’s are open so he must be choosing this look. Ageing rocker?

Do you like it or not? Nothing political (preferably)!

TerriBull

We're Mr and Mrs Bog-Standard and have both managed to get our hair sorted, I would have thought Tone with such a powerful network at his disposal would have been able to get a crimper to trim his silver locks at the very least by now, I can only imagine he likes it like that. He looks very reminiscent of a serious version of the late Peter Stringfellow to me shock

Is the photo bang up to date ? He may well have had his hair cut by now. What is all this about facelifts ?

I would rather not see the haircut or him. He keeps popping up all over the place giving his four penny worth. Maybe he has done a Rip Van Winkle and thinks it’s 20 years ago.

I agree with the ageing actor comment, not a good look in my opinion. Sad man.

Apropos Tom Jones, is anyone else sick of seeing him on TV telling us how wonderful he is.

eazybee Thu 29-Apr-21 09:04:50

I couldn't believe it when I saw him.
I think he looks dreadful; that and the perma- tan.

Nooooooooo

Anniebach Thu 29-Apr-21 09:08:16

Tomorrow Tom Jones may be the first 80 year old to reach no.1
in the charts so it’s understandable he has given several interviews

JenniferEccles Thu 29-Apr-21 09:28:50

When was the picture taken btw?

Sarnia Thu 29-Apr-21 09:35:44

He always thought he was the Messiah so now wants to look like it. Odious man.

Witzend Thu 29-Apr-21 09:37:59

IMO that sort of hair = Vain Man.
But I always did think Blair was vain, or at least very much wanting public adoration.
I used to think he fancied himself as a sort of cross between Jesus and a rock star, with people queueing up to touch the hem of his garment.

Do I care?

He looks very ill to me. There’s a certain look some people get when they are not well and he has it. Hope I am wrong, not that I ever liked him but.

timetogo2016 Thu 29-Apr-21 09:50:38

He goes to the same barber as Boris J.
And goes home through the local hedge backwards by the looks of it.

Oldwoman70 Thu 29-Apr-21 10:05:17

Ye Gods - what next a man bun!!!

Callistemon Thu 29-Apr-21 10:17:40

What is all this about facelifts ?

It was obvious he'd had some work done a few years ago because he lost that natural, slightly wrinkled look with laughter lines plus worry lines.
Suddenly he had that taut, stretched look which made him look permanently startled.

Callistemon Thu 29-Apr-21 10:20:55

2019: It didn't look natural
It's dropped again, perhaps it was Botox.

Casdon Thu 29-Apr-21 10:23:56

That’s horrible, perhaps he’s realised it’s better to age gracefully, as he looks better in the latest picture - long hair or not.

Callistemon Thu 29-Apr-21 10:26:36

I remember thinking how unnatural he looked.

He would have been better to leave well alone and grow old gracefully - and get a haircut. Long straggly hair on a man is very ageing.

henetha Thu 29-Apr-21 10:26:57

I think he can have his hair however he chooses. Good luck to him. And Tom Jones is not showing off, he is genuinely amazing to have a number one album at his age and is still a great singer.

Callistemon Thu 29-Apr-21 10:29:22

I haven't seen Tom Jones on TV
Obviously I don't watch the right programmes.

He still has a powerful voice

Anniebach Thu 29-Apr-21 11:32:27

Agree henetha . seems men can be criticised but not women,

Blair and Jones haven’t reached for the dye pot

sodapop Thu 29-Apr-21 12:37:05

There seems to be plenty of criticism of women on here Anniebach especially those in the Royal Family.

I find Jones lauding of his late wife to be hypocritical but clearly he still has fan base.

I had to look twice when Tony Blair was on T.V a few days ago.
He has changed a lot but looked so much older.

I visualized Mr. Blair as the actor in Till Death do us Part.
That was the comedy that his late father in law starred in Tony
Booth. I think Alf Garnett would have been calling him a long haired git which he used to call Tony Booth.
Do wonder if Cherie likes the new look.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 29-Apr-21 13:35:49

Saw Tom Jones live about six years ago, we were 10 metres away from him, fantastic voice and still very agile.

I saw him briefly on The Voice a few weeks ago and he appears to have embraced his grey.

As for Tony Blair, anything I have to say about the man that sent our son to fight in an illegal war would have me banned from GN for the foreseeable future...
