At least nobody’s thought of ‘Gran’ jeans yet, Monica, though I find that properly high waisted ones - i.e. that discreetly enclose and flatten the area that was once my waist, do the job well enough.

DGD has on her 14th birthday list, a request for a pair of 'Mom' jeans. (I suspect the same as your high-waisted denim, *CanadianGran).

I must say that at 14, I would have found that calling any clothing 'Mom', or 'Mum' style or even a hint that it was something one's mother would approve of, would ahve been a real put off.

Well last year pre lockdown I met up with my daughter and granddaughter. My GD is very trendy and fashion conscious (and gorgeous). I had on a shirt and jeans and she said 'Oh nan I love that shirt'. I got her one and she's worn it a lot.

I know the feeling vampire my daughter gave me some of my teenage granddaughters DMs to take to the charity shop I liked them and they were my size so I kept them which I knew my daughter wouldn’t mind but I never expected my granddaughter to be so horrified that an old granny was wearing her cast offs (downgrading her choice to an old gals choice I suppose )
Oh dear, ....but thinking it through I don’t suppose I’d have wanted to see my old gran wearing my stuff either ?

i think it was as much the idea that he is wearing something granny-style, as that you've already been there done that.

Ps, just a thought vampirequeen,when you see him in them tell him he looks alot better in them than you did,i bet he will smile his head off.
