Good Morning Wednesday

Good morning/ afternoon Mick, Annie, and all. I can't believe how many posters there are for me to read through.
I have been pottering, shredding old papers, cleaning the bathroom and loo, small rooms, so not too much energy needed.
Yesterday, I shocked the vacuum, and me, and dug her out for a swift run around downstairs. I even managed the stairs. Collapse then for the rest of the day.
We have had a chap here before lunch, measuring up for new blinds. It was nice to be surprised that they will not be as expensive as I had thought.
My vitamin B12 injection is due this afternoon, so a short walk to the surgery, and that's my exercise for the day.
I can't remember who has done what, so thoughts to all those who need them if they are struggling.
Nice to see Sheep back, even if she is bruised and battered.
Marydoll, keep resting and getting your strength back.
Iris is one brave girl, with all that she is undergoing. ??
Sorry to hear that Dexter is still sore. Gentle pats to him.

Borrheid son no.1 is a member of the same one as your brother, not as challenging. DH's, which involves often carrying oxygen, it's so hilly! ?

Litterpicker Marydoll says my clues are not subtle, that’s only cos she lives there. I thought I was being very subtle! In the book, the golf club is described as “ scenic and challenging “ . My brother is a member of the golf club just north of that one. Does that help? Mary nice that you were talking about my mum. I hope I can get to visit her soon, last saw her August 2019! Her hairdressers have been so good to her, even dropping in a paper to her. They even escort her back across the road to home.

Yes, Iris is out of hospital, she’s had her second operation, stretched her leg the required 6cm and waiting to have the frame/cage removed.

Good morning from West Sussex. Same mix of sunshine and cloud as yesterday but a lot calmer as far as I can see, looking out!

I had my second jab yesterday morning. Then I rushed around doing ‘everything’ so that I could collapse today. ‘Everything’ included delivering my late mum’s wheeled walker to a former neighbour who is waiting for a second hip replacement and is now very restricted; had a coffee and cake in the Fair Trade cafe as I was feeling a bit wobbly after the vaccine; three charity shops and Bon Marche sale where I bought some nightwear (don’t ask about the charity shops - I couldn’t have bought 3 books and a shoebox full of craft stuff, could I?);picked up library reservations and had a wee browse for the first time since before Christmas; finally went to M&S food with a tiny detour into Next which is beside M&S. I arrived home after six hours and collapsed ?.

I had a bit of a headachy feeling, like last time, by bedtime but took paracetamol and slept ok. I got up very late and plan to do a little gentle seed sowing and finish Hamnet for tomorrow’s book group which may be back on Zoom as rain is forecast - we were to be in a members garden.

I do hope your side-effects wear off soon, Marydoll.

Good morning from NW Scotland, where we have sleety showers, but thank goodness the bitter north wind has dropped. Had a heavy hail shower around 5am, then the cuckoo started up. It must be a very confused bird! This has been a very long winter.

Morning all from a sunnyish cold Ashford Kent. Marydoll sorry you are under the weather after your vaccine. I had my second on Monday and no side effects at all. We tried to have DH get his second too ( he’s top of the list for surgery but must be three weeks after vaccine) but not possible. He’s waited 16mths for urgent gall bladder removal. I have my “ squash booby” test tomorrow at 08:40! DH will take me when he gets home from night shift. Not much else happening. Seeds aren’t growing cos it’s too cold. Squirrels have eaten my tomato and cucumber plants so will have to start again. On the plus side, I am feeding three hedgehogs every evening. It’s a delight to watch them.
Marydoll I’ve just read an Alex Gray book Before the Storm- two bodies found on the braes beside you! The local golf club is central to the plot too! Funny reading about my home town and very near neighbours!

It's a lovely bright morning today and I've managed to put some washing outside to dry. This hasn't been possible the last few days with all the heavy rain we've had. (They were supposed to be showers, but it was continuous for much of the last 2 days).

Your hair looks a lovely colour in its natural state, urms, and so thick and healthy looking. It's your choice of, course, but I think it's natural colour is a colour many would strive for.

Sorry to read of posters disappointments, and do hope the delays for treatment, etc, won't be too long.

Not sure what is on the agenda today, other than make a fruit tea brack - the fruit is soaking now.

Nice to see posters back who have been missing a while, and a warm welcome to all newbies.

Gagagran it might be sunny here but we've been having very chilly nights - I'm still using my winter duvet and electric blanket!!
You've reminded me Susan56 I have quite a few Welsh Male voice choir CDs which I love, mainly Morriston Orpheus Choir and a couple of Llandulas Male voice choir. Sadly we have a shortage of CD players, now (none in the car) so they don't get much play. {sad}

Well, thanks to virginmedia switching off our internet for a good few minutes, I can give you the inconclusive results - I'm negative, take that whichever way you like!! The test is sooo uncomfortable!!

We got asked lots of questions about side effects Marydoll when we went for our 2nd one. It's good that they are collecting as much info as possible. Hope you feel better soon. My friend has her 2nd one tomorrow and I'm so worried about her. She ended up in hospital for 48 hours after the 1st one.

Dreadful weather here yesterday, but we decided to go ahead with our shopping trip as we have cabin fever! We got the necessities from the garden centre, popped into B&M which was very busy. I stocked up on hand and nail cream, shampoo and conditioner. Also spotted some pretty hair clasps, so treated myself to a couple. Will have to go back for a good look round, as I didn’t want to be in there with so many people.

I had a restless night, painful arm and leg, the excitement had evidently been too much for me. Today I shall sit in the sunshine and sew. I hope everyone has the best day possible today.

So sorry to hear it didn’t go as planned for Dexter, hope you both start to feel better soon. Poor Grandmajet, I would have been in tears, never mind moaning, if I had psyched myself up for a major operation only to have it cancelled at the last minute.

Now I really need your help. All the reference to pink flamingos is new to me, please can someone explain to a bear of little brain what they mean? Unfortunately I tried googling it, and the urban dictionary came up with a description of an image that I now cannot unsee, I really do not advise you to go there!!

Anyone help me out?
