Bar, Tea Room, Spa, AB12 ....is there no end to our talents.
All are welcome to join in our virtual enterprise. ?

brook2704 Sun 23-May-21 20:22:44

Just popped down to the Everard, ixion no sign of Fronc but the tandem is still outside...

brook2704 Sun 23-May-21 20:23:27

you know where he is Doodle ?

Doodle Sun 23-May-21 20:53:40

Sssh. I think I’ve seen him he’s in the hotel kitchen talking to the chef. He’s giving him something. It looks like salami

ixion Sun 23-May-21 21:18:38

In which case, get him back toot sweet, offer him a payrise and a 50/50 split twixt kitchen and tables.
That boy is our passport to fame, riches and early retirement ? .
Watch out RR.

Doodle Sun 23-May-21 21:48:26

It’s ok I’ve got him. He is quite happy to come back.
He is keen to be involved in the Fine Dining and. Is pleased with the pay rise. Turns out he isn’t that keen on salami as it happens. Now all we have to do is to keep him away from May. ?

ixion Sun 23-May-21 22:12:26

Fear not.
May is still at College doing her NVQ in Hospitality .
She can't get the ferry back til she's passed.
We could be talking a while yet.

Thrilled we have Fronc back.
We should be getting him to pen a few draft menus.
I read elsewhere that tasting menus are all the rage. Minimum food for maximum profit.
What could possibly go wrong?

Doodle Sun 23-May-21 22:53:54

Er tasting. That could go wrong. ?

AGAA4 Mon 24-May-21 16:01:14

Fronc told me he used to work in an upmarket French restaurant in London until the 'incident'. He will be just what we need for Fine Dining.
brook has returned from Lemongrove Manor with a Wedgewood dinner service, silver cutlery and the finest linen napkins. Also cut glass champagne flutes. It's making me very nervous with the llamas around. At least the admiral is away with Mary Rose.

brook2704 Mon 24-May-21 17:26:11

It’s very quiet in the tea garden this afternoon so Fronc and I have been working on the tasting menu
I think we need a new name for the new posh restaurant if we’re going to attract the right clientele.
Fronc wants to call it Chez Cou-Cou

ixion Mon 24-May-21 19:18:15

We need jet, she can work wonders with seaweed.
We could charge call it samphire
Perhaps doodle will bring some back from her overnight seaside jolly?

Doodle Mon 24-May-21 19:24:49

Sorry can’t talk. Away on overnight mission surveying the coast for invasion. Back tomorrow. Don’t tell anyone it’s hush hush ?

ixion Mon 24-May-21 19:27:18

Please bring seaweed.
(See AB12 Codewords)

muse Mon 24-May-21 20:34:25

New name ? La-di-da

Dress code Doodle. Got to be excessive denim and heels.

muse Mon 24-May-21 20:36:44

The La-di-da Lounge. Unaccompanied Llamas not allowed.

brook2704 Mon 24-May-21 20:42:14

Sounds good muse the La-di-da lounge - should attract the right clientele

AGAA4 Tue 25-May-21 15:47:09

doodle you were seen coming out of the Frisky Ferret at midnight with 2 drunken sailors. What happened to your overnight mission?

I noticed Fronc's full name is Fronc Enstein. Should we be worried?

brook2704 Tue 25-May-21 17:41:14

Don’t worry Aga I think Doodle was just escorting them back to their ship HMS Periwinkle, part of her undervover mission I guess
As for Fronc, he’s enough worries just now, I’d not dwell on it ...
I do think the Admiral and Mary Rose are getting along splendidly ... I wonder if he’s going to propose?

Doodle Wed 26-May-21 20:50:02

Hello all. I’m back.
Secret mission accomplished. Yes brook you are quite right I had to make sure those two young men got back to their ship. There was some suggestion that they might be spies so I had to put them through a thorough investigation which er actually took quite a while. Turns out they were not spies just a couple of sailors out on the town for the night.
When I was just about to drive back to the Argy a chap came up and said was I the one coming to collect the weed so of course I said yes. I imagine you ordered the sea weed ixion so you will be pleased to know I’ve collected it and dropped it down the hatch into the cellar. Strange how it comes in those little plastic bags isn’t it? ? Still I suppose it’s easier to transport like that. It should last a while as I got a van full.
By the way, the bloke who loaded the van said to tell The dealer he’d expect payment soon. I had to laugh because he obviously doesn’t realise we aren’t a casino and don’t have any dealers here. Well I’m worn out after my trip. I think I might just have a pint and call it a night. Did my Llamas miss me.
By the way I love the sound of the La di da lounge muse ?

ixion Wed 26-May-21 21:52:55

Oh, for crying out loud doodle. Do you not remember Sarfend?
I told brook we should never have got rid of The freezer.

Now what?
?

ixion Wed 26-May-21 22:15:49

Why don't we hand it over to the Dealer , then get AB12 to catch and then hand them over? Weed is confiscated and we get a huge pat on the back from the Boys in Blue?

Doodle Thu 27-May-21 19:31:41

Don’t worry gang. I’ve sorted it. I’ve been baking all day and turned it all into fancy fairy cakes. We can serve them in the tea room. No one will notice. Mind you......there are a lot of cakes. ?

ixion Fri 28-May-21 11:35:04

Neat, doodle.
Leo tells me that we can offer the Fine Dining Experience tonight if we can get enough hands to the pump.
Not forgetting the Friday karaoke for Jet, in case she and Charlie are moored up somewhere with decent reception.

I am free tomorrow to run the Tea Rooms in the afternoon- your grass Bath buns will go down a treat, as will, probably, those who eat them.

Anyone free then to do a couple of escorted llama walks?

Kerching.

Doodle Fri 28-May-21 16:22:49

Oh yes must do our karaoke for Jet tonight.
I’ve let Fronc sort out the meal for the fine dining tonight. Not sure if the Lemongroves will be in or not. Leo has booked in 5 other couples. Mr and Mrs Anthereoff from the bookies. 2 Jags Jeremy and his latest fancy piece. Madame PomPom and her Pomeranian ?. The two Spinster sisters Mabel and Maud Unknotted and Mr and Mrs Bling from the jewellery stall.
Hope they like the menu.
Some of them like a drink or five so perhaps we can lure them down to the bar after for the sing song.

ixion Fri 28-May-21 17:01:24

Er, not the Antherovs, the infamous Russian oligarchs? They're a long way from Grosvenor Square.
If so, they're clearly money-laundering again at our humble abode.

Perhaps they got wind of (appropriate after tonight's menu) The Dealer and are here to play the tables?
Does Fronc 'croup' perchance? Chips, anyone?
?

Doodle Fri 28-May-21 19:29:57

Sorry ixion I missed the d off. It’s the Andthereoffs. They are the bookies I’m sure. Not Russian connections ? They are horsey people.
I’m sure Fronc can turn his hand to most things.
I will do the llama walks if you like. I could do with losing some weight, all those cakes I made seem to pile on the pounds but I don’t care. I am a free spirit. I feel all wafty and sixties hippy like. ?
