Iam64 I think many people felt compassion and understanding for Prince Harry to begin with. The tragic loss of his mother at a critical age and his obvious unhappiness, especially after leaving the army and his brothers marriage meant most people were delighted by his marriage and choice of spouse. Even his decision to leave the RF and move to another country was accepted.
But while most of us make allowances for the behaviour of people who are ill, physically or mentally, it doesn't follow that everything someone ill says or does can be justified by referring to their physical, or in this case mental problems.
This is the case with Prince Harry. The interview with Oprah Winfrey, with its mix of truths, half truths and downright lies, when well beyond the point where its own lack of compassion and his willingness to hang his closest family out to dry, could be justified by his fragile mental state.
We have a phrase in our family for the kind of hard nosed person who will do anything, exploit anything, for money. The phrase is: 'he would render his own grandmother down for lard'. that is exactly what Prince Harry did.
He looked at his grandparents, both in their late 90s, with one looking death in the face, who loved and cared for him, even if not always in a way he appreciated, and he gave them up to the renderers - and didn't even have to be paid to do it.
You say that poster's lack of compassion disgusts you. Prince Harry's lack of compassion disgusts me.
