I posted a few months ago re the above. I had paid extra NI contributions into my pension pot (2 years worth) to increase my state pension. I come into the category of the change in women's pensions (WASP) and after 43 years of paying NI contributions it still not entitle me to the full state pension. I later found out through GN that I could have applied for the above instead which I knew absolutely nothing about. I took the bull by the horns wrote to HMRC advising them of my position that I look after my GC 2 days/week and have done for the last 3 years . I received a letter yesterday informing me that I was getting a refund of the extra 2 years NI"s I had paid. I am so chuffed and just would like to say a big thank you for sharing this information on GN otherwise I would never have known such a scheme existed. Thank you all.
How do you hang your washing out?
