Weather in most areas of the U.K.
will be no rain with broken sunshine and very bright conditions.
Not sure if I'll have enough time to get around all the boot sales and flea markets.

We have just got home from a weekend at Great Yarmouth with DD. We played crazy golf, walked along the prom with 1,000s of other people, ate ice creams, hot donuts and fish and chips (not all at once, spread over 2 days) and went on the boating lake.

This evening DS and DDil and DGC arrive for a weeks stay. We haven't seen them for nearly a year. We plan a day in Bath, a visit to the wildlife park and a local donkey sanctuary

Overcast start today but up for 8.15am U3A gym session heaving 6kg weights around. Arrived home to find a message that tomorrow's painting of the planters at our local TfW station had been brought forward. Had planned to mow my grass as 'no mow May' almost over! Armed with wire brush I prepped five planters ready for painting. My colleagues arrived and made a lovely job of staining the old planters. Grass mowed at home and now the sun is shining - garden chair out and shorts on. Hoping I don't fall asleep and snore - alarming the neighbours!!!

I live in a village on the North East Coast. This is our fourth day of heavy fog. Its called a "harr" . Very cold. Feel so sorry for all the visitors who have booked cottages for the weekend.
Hopefully we might get to see the sun tomorrow.
However we have been busy in the garden all weekend, and I'm cooking a posh chicken recipe tonight for tea , plus a botttle of Chardonnay left over from Christmas. Will enjoy.

Giving my garden room a good clear out. We have used it as a bit of a dumping ground this past year, so I am putting out stuff needing to go to the charity shop, gardening stuff which should not be in there etc, so not outside, but using the nice weather to put things outside whilst I clear and clean.

As it's half term week, we'll be mostly at home, working in/enjoying the garden. In this fine weather it's just nice to be taking the time to be outside; a welcome change from so much cold weather & rain.

Just got back home after walking around 2 large car boots.
It was really cold at 7am but warmed up nicely by 10.
Very few people wearing masks or social distancing sadly.

Barbecue in a friend’s garden. Warm, sunny and good company.

It was a beautiful sunny day today and as we are still in lockdown we walked down to our local shops and back, about 5 km. It is a lovely tree lined street so it was quite pleasant. We are only allowed to shop one per family so one of us went to one part of the shops and the other went to get a newspaper. There are still plenty of cars on the road, I don’t think people are taking the lockdown as seriously as last time.

We took the bus to Canterbury too many visitors in sunny Folkestone. Although Canterbury Town was busy we walked 3 miles along the Stour river bank to Chartham for a lovely pub lunch. If not for the aggressive groups of cyclists terrorising the pedestrians on the shared path it would have been perfect.

Celebrated GS’s last exam on Friday evening with a meal out. Went to Church Stretton yesterday and it was glorious. Blue skies and sunshine but not too hot. Fascinating buildings, a rich history and some interesting graveyards!

Was planning to return two tops bought recently but it has just dawned on me that there will be few buses and not sure if the shops will be open. OH is grass cutting and gardening so don’t want to disturb him.

We had an open air church service yesterday followed by games, quizzes and a picnic in the churchyard. it was quite chilly to start with but when the sun came out I got quite overheated. Afterwards I felt quite tired and dizzy and had to go home for a nap! I think I may have got a bit dehydrated sitting out in the sun. I'll be staying in the shade today but it's good to see the sun is out again. I'm not a fan of hot weather but it is lovely to see the sun out again even if I don't want to be out in it.

Lovely Sunday morning walk y'day before 8am with the dog along the marina, seals basking on the rocks. I'm just back from another walk with it being Bank Hol Mon, up early again today to enjoy the weather, got to 22 degrees y'day. I'll be happy sitting in the garden in the sun with my book. There will be no queuing and crowds for me, I've ice-cream, wine, etc at home, so that'll do nicely and I'll just be out again walking the dog.

Cold and overcast in North Wales this morning. We planned a bbq for later so I hope the clouds blow away soon!

Beautiful here in Manchester, (but fingers crossed not spoken too soon), washing machine is on overdrive, hopefully nice weather will last until middle of the week, as planning to go and visit daughter and family in Southport ! Washing machine will be happy to have a rest.
Do a bit of shopping there and have something to eat with them, before travelling back.

Here in Aberdeen we had sun on Saturday and Sunday, but it is cold and cloudy this morning. Maybe the sun will appear later in the day.

Theoddbird Mon 31-May-21 10:41:05

It’s another lovely day here. We had a great afternoon yesterday in a local country park with four of the grandsons and their parents. It’s so good to see all the families out and about and to hear the chatter and laughter again. We just need the weather to stay kind now. smile

I'll be busy doing boring admin type tasks but they've got to be done and I know I'll feel great once they're done.
We had a nice weekend though. Drinks in the garden with neighbours on Saturday. On Sunday a wander through a farmer's market with resultant purchases followed by lunch at a beautiful Thai restaurant.

BigBertha1 Mon 31-May-21 06:52:02

Beautiful day here, lovely to get out and about, hope it lasts

Kim19 Fri 28-May-21 11:30:52

I've very promising gentle sunshine with majority blue sky at the moment up here in the north. Doing as much gardening as I can from the paths as the beds as still pretty waterlogged. I've a bit of essential indoor decorating (workman coming) to finish but will space that out. Highspot should be mid afternoon when I'll do my lovely riverside jaunt. Fingers crossed the sunshine will still be indulging me but..... I'm going irrespective.
