Weather in most areas of the U.K.
will be no rain with broken sunshine and very bright conditions.
Not sure if I'll have enough time to get around all the boot sales and flea markets.

Agree.
It was so sunny here at 6am I’m up early. A walk this afternoon with a friend and on Sunday we’ve planned a beach day over at Lytham - donkey rides for the children, sand castles to make & fish and chips for all before setting off home. Old fashioned family fun!

Half your luck! grin
Here in Melbourne it's 4.00pm, 12C and we've just started another 7 day Covid hard Lockdown! sad
Enjoy your "out and about!" Thinking of you!

Hi Rufus!
I thought Oz was doing okay with severe incoming flight restrictions? Many on here are calling for Boris to do similar because of the Indian variant (or at least saying he should have imposed tougher restrictions earlier).
Seems not to work then?
Sorry you’ve got lockdown again.

Well it’s 10 degrees, dull and cloudy here, not one patch of blue sky, so I’ll believe it when i see it.

It’s horrible in Melbourne. They haven’t sorted out the hotel isolation, they haven’t sorted out the tracing and they haven’t sorted out mass vaccination. Knee jerk reactions all round from the dopey state government.

Lovely day here. I'll be going out for lunch with a friend but the place we're going has no windows just a cupola. Seems a shame not to see what's going on outside. Will just have to indulge in my usual shameless eavesdropping.

It was sunny here yesterday we had a long awaited lunch with a good friend planned. We went to a very popular village a mile from where we live. With well established bars cafes and restaurants privately owned in an affluent area.
What a disappointment it wasn’t busy but we waited ages for the food which wasn’t worth waiting for. You would think after being closed for so long they would be eager to please customers.

Well I’m going out for lunch today with my husband and son. Hubby been in hospital and my son has been very good helping. A little thank you and a big step back into the world!

It's clouded over a bit this morning after the perfect day we had in south Devon yesterday. And so much milder, thank goodness.
I had a day out yesterday; drove to a village where some of my ancestors come from and looked for names on gravestones.
And I found the old cottage where my grandmother was born and lived with her 12 brothers and sisters.
Just staying in the garden today and finishing off the new fence. Dan is coming to cut the grass.

First properly warm (and mostly sunny) day here yesterday. We’d already been out to an exhibition, but it was nice to sit in the garden later and be warm enough - even when the sun was gone from that part.
My friend in Stockholm is looking forward to some of the same soon! They’ve had atrocious weather, too.

We’ve eaten out twice in 2 days - what a change from the past umpteen months! 1st was a meet-up lunch with brother and SiL, 2nd was a pub lunch after the exhibition.
And there’s another booked for Saturday - talk about an unaccustomed whirl of activity, I’m just not used to it any more!

Off on holiday with bubble family to Cornwall (self-catering) tomorrow for half-termn week. Visits booked to a castle, to Eden Project and to the Lost Gardens. Looks like we will be fortunate with the weather.

Cycling holiday round North Wales coast next week. Hope weather stays fine!

I've very promising gentle sunshine with majority blue sky at the moment up here in the north. Doing as much gardening as I can from the paths as the beds as still pretty waterlogged. I've a bit of essential indoor decorating (workman coming) to finish but will space that out. Highspot should be mid afternoon when I'll do my lovely riverside jaunt. Fingers crossed the sunshine will still be indulging me but..... I'm going irrespective.

Trip to Marbury Park for us today.

I'll be busy doing boring admin type tasks but they've got to be done and I know I'll feel great once they're done.
We had a nice weekend though. Drinks in the garden with neighbours on Saturday. On Sunday a wander through a farmer's market with resultant purchases followed by lunch at a beautiful Thai restaurant.

It’s another lovely day here. We had a great afternoon yesterday in a local country park with four of the grandsons and their parents. It’s so good to see all the families out and about and to hear the chatter and laughter again. We just need the weather to stay kind now. smile

nipsmum Mon 31-May-21 11:00:23

Here in Aberdeen we had sun on Saturday and Sunday, but it is cold and cloudy this morning. Maybe the sun will appear later in the day.

magshard20 Mon 31-May-21 11:01:46

Beautiful here in Manchester, (but fingers crossed not spoken too soon), washing machine is on overdrive, hopefully nice weather will last until middle of the week, as planning to go and visit daughter and family in Southport ! Washing machine will be happy to have a rest.
Do a bit of shopping there and have something to eat with them, before travelling back.

Spec1alk Mon 31-May-21 11:05:58

Cold and overcast in North Wales this morning. We planned a bbq for later so I hope the clouds blow away soon!

Alioop Mon 31-May-21 11:11:04

Lovely Sunday morning walk y'day before 8am with the dog along the marina, seals basking on the rocks. I'm just back from another walk with it being Bank Hol Mon, up early again today to enjoy the weather, got to 22 degrees y'day. I'll be happy sitting in the garden in the sun with my book. There will be no queuing and crowds for me, I've ice-cream, wine, etc at home, so that'll do nicely and I'll just be out again walking the dog.

We had an open air church service yesterday followed by games, quizzes and a picnic in the churchyard. it was quite chilly to start with but when the sun came out I got quite overheated. Afterwards I felt quite tired and dizzy and had to go home for a nap! I think I may have got a bit dehydrated sitting out in the sun. I'll be staying in the shade today but it's good to see the sun is out again. I'm not a fan of hot weather but it is lovely to see the sun out again even if I don't want to be out in it.
