Yet another *Soops* kitchen for all us like minded people
(1001 Posts)I found the key that soop left.
I must complain that getting down to retrieve keys then getting up again is very tricky! Please leave them in a more accessible place in future.
Anyway here’s a bottle of Dom Perignon and a large iced bowl of caviar to open the kitchen!
( we’re going posh this time!
Such beautiful pictures Yia I do love the seaside and harbour views. Enjoy every minute of your holidays!
Thank you for the beautiful flowers Puzzler they look really lovely
Blossoming I’d definitely go for the scoop of ice cream!
I’ve had a good day today, starting with my Fitsteps dance class this morning, it was the first class I’ve been to in ages. I’d forgotten quite a few steps but hopefully no one noticed much! Then a surprise last minute request to pick up the DGC from school as their dad was delayed waiting for a delivery at home. Both DGC came running out of school with big hugs for me - so lovely and it made my day! Then when I got home I got the suitcase down and started popping a few things in as I’m off visiting DD2 in Cambridge on Friday. Im so much looking forward to seeing her and my other DGC again. I was last there at the end of April and I bet they’ve grown again!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening, toya and take care all
I haven’t got flowers but this is my favourite tree in my gravel garden.
Still warm here, The Imp is sleeping over as he has archery at 8am and we are next door but one to school. We took him to Muay Thai class before a quick meal in his favourite Indian restaurant. Myself and Grandpa Gravy are now collapsed on sofas with a swift vino…
Right, annoying, reported lack of photo uploads, however, enough about me.
Grandmabatty toddlers are enchanting, but like young puppies, their energy far surpasses us mature beings, they test and test, what a joy though.
Lins I did that with the glass at the front of my old oven once, I hope yours was safety glass, in little pieces, still ‘if only’ but easier to clear up. Grabdmafrench the shoulders relax down and the heart lightens doesn’t it….yes Urms company would have soothed, MrJ does his very bestest. You have not mentioned itchy and scratchy, hope they’re abating. Whilst I skip, I also remember those with not such good news, so a glass raised to those digging deep for strength and suffering the unimaginable. XX
Wowsers lovely photo GG13 such a beautiful tree - is it a Sambucus? Enjoy your vino, it sounds like you deserve it. Enjoy your little imp - an early start tomorrow though!
I hope you get the photo upload fixed soon Jax
A mixed kitchen for sure. What sounds to be an unfortunate muddle between two cared about posters, hearing how panache and her husband are struggling a birthday to celebrate, beautiful photos and soop with us. A bit like life I guess, some good and some not so good. Not much happening here to report other than playing taxi to our granddaughters for their dental appointments. TOYA, wishing everyone a peaceful evening.
My DH said there would have been enough time to get fish and chips at Llandrindod today Susan. There were hikers, cyclists and schoolchildren using the train, which was good to hear. He wants to go again in the Autumn and hopefully I will be able go with him.
Fortunately it was safety glass Jax, there was a mad dash to keep Sam in while we swept up, it went everywhere.
Wishing everyone a peaceful night. TOYA
Lins, good to hear the train was busy.
My husband is now suggesting it would be good for us to come down on the train at some stage!
Soop, whenever you are free, and are feeling much better, how would you feel about painting a certain black and white feline?
Many Happy Returns of the Day Dragonfly!
Hello my lovelies,
I am about to tackle the portrait of a pretty dog sitting on on the sand...for the second time.
Hellogirl1 You know that I would consider it a pleasure.
I may be gone for some time. You remain in my thoughts. Be kind to each other. I shall return a wee bit later today.
I hope today goes well soop and the doggy portrait comes together.
Hi soop and hi everyone else.
Morning and Good Luck soop.
We know you will put your heart and soul into your painting.
It wouldn’t be you if you didn’t.
Have a good day everyone ?
Grannygravy as brook says I think your magnificent plant is Sambucus “Black Lace”. I have a very small one, and look forward to it achieving the height of yours. ?
My attempt at a Peony rose. It still needs some work but I'm happy with it so far. I had forgotten how much joy going to the art class brought me. I think I had become very dull and boring. The rain has stopped and the sun has appeared, both literally and metaphorically. I look forward to seeing the painting of the dog Soop
Brook2704 Puzzler61 Yes it is Sambucas Black Lace, we planted it as a diddy little thing 16 years ago and it has spread far and high.
Today started off well, but went downhill this afternoon. I had my sigmoid colon removed just over 3 years ago after being diagnosed with bowel cancer. I was due a colonoscopy in November 2020 but they were not happening due to Covid. The hospital rang at lunchtime, I have to go collect a moviprep prescription tomorrow and the colonoscopy is happening on Saturday afternoon. I’m dreading it, on the one hand I’m glad they’re catching up with waiting lists, but on the other hand I had a horrible experience last time. I’m holding on to the fact that I have no symptoms at the moment and that my surgeon has said if this one is clear he will discharge me. Fingers crossed.
Blossoming ?
Thank you Marydoll
Afternoon all,
Sad to see some unhappy kitcheners, hope all is resolved now.
I'm only popping in as usual these days. Life is so busy I don't have much time for anything really. We are off down south to the funeral tomorrow . It has proved to be a troubling time as there is an estranged daughter involved who is lashing out at all and sundry for what was her own choice. All very sad.
So, let me say , life is short and full of challenges and its so easy to be angry and so hard to be understanding and forgiving but being angry will never make you happy .
Just how I feel about life right now.
On a happy note we are having Christmas in June this Saturday including a full on cracker and turkey Christmas Dinner, there will be the 2021 Easter Olympics, a huge birthday celebration including cake for all, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Valentines Day, Fireworks Night, Halloween and a New Year Celebration !!!
If I am never heard of again I have either exploded through too much drink and food or have expired through happiness ( I don't mind either :-) )
Happy Christmas all !! I'll catch up next week.
Enjoy yourself N&G, You’ve all been having a tough time and this will do all of you so much good. Have fun. ?
I know Nannytopsy. I’m focusing on how much I’m going to enjoy stuffing my face with hospital tea and biccies once it’s over!

Hallo everyone and thank you for your birthday greetings.
I have had a lovely couple of days with friends and family.
We had lunch today with some very old friends we have not seen for 2 years and I was shocked how ill my friend looked.
She had cancer 50 years ago and the scar tissue from the radium she had then has mucked up her insides.
It was good to see them though.
Lovely picture Grandmabatty I wish I could paint.
Fingers crossed for you on Saturday Blossoming.
Merry Christmas NandG!
