Good morning all - a beautiful day here in Cheshire. Wishing everyone "White Rabbits" and good wishes to all who are ill and /or worried. Some lovely pictures this morning from you clever photographers.
Not much happening today but meeting two friends "in the flesh" tomorrow in friend's garden. Looking forward to all the chatting and interrupting that Zoom doesn't allow !

Good Morning Tuesday
(59 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Its a nice clear blue sky start here in Brackley this morning.
Usual day of household chores , before I get the bus to Bicester for an hour .
Returning to watch cycling coverage , which at the moment is also facing French open coverage .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning from a sunny S Welsh coast. I didn't sleep much, it was hot and I've a lot on my mind, however I saw a most beautiful sunrise. Mr Lins is not in my good books, we've been wanting to make some financial arrangements for some time. Yesterday he announced a possible route to go down that I had suggested about five years ago, why doesn't he ever listen?
He won't go out on a Bank Holiday either grandMattie, though I'm with him on that one. Our beaches were packed yesterday, cars parked everywhere.
Lovely photos Ash and corner. Glad you enjoyed your weekend with your family dragonfly, balm for the soul.
Have a pleasant day everyone.
Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is another sunny, warm day.
DH is off to his boat this morning and has an appointment with his Dermatologist this afternoon to decide what to do about his BCC.
I have housework and washing to tackle, exciting not !!!!!
Have a great Tuesday everyone and find a smile xx
Good morning Mick, morning all from beautifully sunny South Lanarkshire.
I did a bit of rearranging in the garden yesterday as I’d fallen heir to a fairly large, gorgeous, mosaic topped table which DD had no longer any use for. Whoever described gardening yesterday as outdoor housework was spot on. Moving pots and troughs resulted in lots of sweeping up but I’m pleased with the result.
I’m gearing up to do a bit of ironing before the sun gets much higher then have a chilled out afternoon when I’ll have an empty as DH has booked golf.
Wishing everyone the very best day possible.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a very sunny South Yorkshire. We hope to see the window cleaner today. If he leaves it any longer we won’t see anything at all! Had a nice walk yesterday round our valley, but it was a longer one than usual, so by the time we came back there was no time to do anything else. Laundry today and some cleaning, then the hedge that we didn’t get done yesterday. Hope you all have some sunshine in your day. Take care folks.
Waiting for gd to arrive for the day she is a easily pleased girl not like her little brother who is like a whirlwind he is at nursery we will be picking him up later .Take care all .
Good Morning. It’s warm but hazy this morning.
We had a productive day yesterday. DH mowed the extremely long grass and tidied the garden. I got out my summer clothes. I put a huge bag to go to the charity shop and then a pile that needs freshening up but will do that today. In the afternoon we went for a coffee ( and cake ) to a nice place not too far away. It’s on the edge of a lovely walk that is also next to a site of holiday lodges. It’s absolute bliss so quiet and peaceful. There is a small lake and twice we saw a heron. I was too slow to get my phone out for a photo. It was delightful there as our house was in the middle of both neighbours entertaining (noisily) in the gardens. One has children so can forgive them but the other side are adults and I’ll say no more on them as we have had difficulties with them recently. So apart from that a relaxing afternoon and an easy meal in the evening where I enjoyed watching Andre Rieu with a glass or two of Pinot Grigio.
Today DH has to collect DGS from nursery as his parents have to travel to a funeral of a family member of DIL. As it’s late afternoon we may have to have him sleep so a bag is being brought just in case.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning all from a very sunny Glasgow. However, the temperature chez MD is positively tropical.?? For some bizzare reason, the central heating is on. ? Why??????♀️ DH is in for a ^ roasting^, if you get my drift!! ?
Ashcombe, what lovely photos, you sound as if you had a very enjoyable day. Today, I am driving DH to his appointment at the optician's. He definitely needs new glasses, but as I will not be allowed in, I dread to think what retro frames he will pick. He is not known for his good taste ( apart from picking me?) At least when DIL worked there, she could gently steer him in the right direction! ?
Unfortunately I will have to kick my heels for sometime. I really haven't a clue how to pass the time, ?, apart from browsing the Co-op dept. store, which has a closing down sale!
Oh dear, I suppose that is the only solution! ?
The best part will be lunch afterwards in our favourite restaurant, overlooking Paisley Abbey and it will cost nothing! I discovered an unused gift voucher from DD and SIL for the same restaurant. Its good to have something to look forward too.
I'm debating whether I could get away with wearing my TENS machine, under my clothing, without it falling off in the street. ? My friends were intrigued by my constant fiddling under my clothes yesterday. There were some very earthy and cheeky comments by my ex colleague! ?
I spent a very pleasant afternoon pottering in my front garden yesterday, well I intended to potter, but it basically became a conference with various neighbours, friends and an ex colleague who was visiting her friend the Ebay queen. A very enjoyable afternoon, with lots of laughter, was had by all! I tried to post some photos, but they won't post. I have tried all the usual tricks. ?
The only downside was that some vans of workmen arrived and the all manhole covers were lifted. Worringly the sewers in our little development have become blocked, but they cannot find the source. Someone, very naughtily, has been putting stuff, they shouldn't be, down the drains. We have lived here for nearly thirty years, without prior problems. Why do people do this? Grrrrrr!
Keeping all our lovely friends, who need our support in my thoughts today. Some have such a heavy load to bear, climbing the daily mountain of sadness and pain. ?
I'm off to titivate myself, its not often I get a chance to dress up! My usual, Glasgow, all year round, heavy weight ensemble, just won't be suitable today!!!!! ?
Have the most pleasant of days possible, whatever your plans.
Morning all from a cloudy but balmy south Cornwall. Thank you for more welcomes back yesterday. Took an early Bank Holiday ferry across the Fal to St Mawes. Bonkers crowds of people but so lovely to see families crabbing on the quay. Glad to get home though away from the crush. Reclined and swung gently on my patio seat for the rest of the day listening to the Poldark books, which I somehow missed when I was younger. Today, much pottering to persuade my reluctant bits-and-bobs-filled flat into shape ahead of my op. Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning from sunny Shropshire.
DH says thank you for all the birthday wishes. He had a lovely day.The camping party was a success, great fun was had by all!
Today will hopefully be a quiet at home day with a late hairdressers appointment at 4.45.Heaven knows what made me book such a late one, cut and colour so won’t be home much before 8?
Ash, I love your pictures, I love where we live but wish we were nearer the coast.Enjoy your days as a live exhibit!
Grandmabatty, that sounds awful?what a shock?
Hoping Cherry,Mary and Auntieflo have both had restful nights and are feeling better?also thinking of grandmajet?
Have a good day all and thought with our missing friends and all with worries??
Good morning from a gorgeously sunny Lyme Regis
Just a quick one as WiFi not too good. Will be travelling home tomorrow, when I can catch up with all your news
Wishing you all a lovely day
Good morning from a sunny NE.
Yesterday was another pleasant day so I cleaned all of the ground floor windows.
DD met up with DS and family for the afternoon and then called in on her way home.
I think I will do some washing today and hang it in the garden, DH loathes to see it on the line but 'what the eye doesn't see'
Enjoy the proper June weather.
Good morning all from a lovely sunny Black country.
Went to our usual garden centre yesterday wanted a few things from farm shop, big disappointment not much there. We did manage to buy a new bird bath, long queues at the cafe so thought we would go to the garden centre a little further down. The car park didn't look to busy but soon found out why their lovely lakeside cafe was closed not opening until next week. So it was back home for a drink in the garden.
Lovely photos on here today.
Take care all and enjoy day.
Good morning from the Peaks where the sun is shining.
We had a lovely day again yesterday. DD1 and family came to DD2’s for the afternoon. Much chat and laughter.
Today DD2 and I are going shopping. After my successful WW efforts I need new summer clothes.
Hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe.
Morning Kitty.
Morning Mick and All.
The summer has arrived in South Bucks hurray ? We ate our supper on our front lawn last night which was lovely.
We have our WI Zoom meeting this afternoon.
Must pop down to get DH a birthday card and a few edible delights for Sunday as he has got to a stage where he doesn’t want any presents. I haven’t got to that stage yet ?
Rabbits, rabbits, rabbits, carrots, carrots, carrots. ??????
Morning all. As dragonfly says, Leicestershire is very sunny.
Yesterday we did some gardening and then had a barbecue. Today, we are going to a garden centre for things to fill the gaps we created. We also have to find new flooring for the en suite and then the decorator is coming to give us a quote. I also have a Zoom Alzheimer's cafe.
Have a great day everyone.
Good morning all. Hazy sunshine in Polmont. Ashcombe good luck with your characters. It sounds like fun.
Yesterday was a lovely day but my very rusty garden chair gave up the ghost with me sitting on it and I ended up on the ground. A bit of a painful shock but rather me than pregnant dd. My right knee is uncomfortable and I have a sore head. Time to invest in new furniture. Today I will be babysitting so fish man visit then the park. We will play in the garden this afternoon. Have a good day all.
Good morning from sunny Colchester.
We are in the steer clear of Bank Holiday crowds group. Lawn mowing and bbqing was everywhere around us and we joined in!
Laundry today, as it's safe to put it out without fearing BBQ smoke.
DD2 and DGS2 are coming over for the day. We will shop and run around in the park. Both are 5 minutes walk from us.
Love and hugs to all x
Good morning all from a beautifully sunny and promising north end of the country. Two days on the trot! Absolutely wonderful. I had the most satisfying of days yesterday achieving domestic bits and pieces. Some have been in the 'must do' section of my head for ages. Was spurred on by the presence of my local handyman who was dealing with a couple of bigger jobs. Oh, it was all go in the nicest possible way. Just thinking..... every day is pretty much a BH in this life of retirement for me. And to think I never fancied it. What an idiot! Hope all who read this have at least one highlight today.
Morning from another bright start here in West Yorks.Feelin pleased that we have at last caught up with getting the garden looking ship shape and the joy of being out in the sun.Good luck with the furniture buy Grandmattie we had the pleasure last week, now the hassle of decor/colour scheme before the 16 wk del. years ago would have been so excited but it's a minefield and unlike the younger generation changing on regular basis our choice will be here to stay.Have appt for my reg blood test this morn and if can get motivated will attack pile of ironing which I have ignored since the sun started shining.
Good morning from a sunny north Surrey.
I am a little bit pink from sitting in mum and dads garden and then several hours of weeding at the allotment. You would think that I would have learnt by my age!
The traffic around Virginia Water was horrendous with cars parked wherever they could find a space, far too stressful for me. However my DD’s pictures of them at Windsor, it looked very quiet.
I am booked to work this afternoon, wondering if I might get cancelled again after a long weekend there will have been few admissions, we shall see. There is always plenty to do so I am not too worried and my back is feeling it after the weeding.
Hoping all have a good day and the ☀️ continues to shine
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another sunny start to the day. Yesterday was a cracking day, wall to wall sunshine a light breeze and about 20 degrees - perfect for me! I spent the day lazing in the garden with a few short spells doing a bit of weeding and tidying up. More of the same today I think
I love that you venture out for day trips on your own Ash I know you’ve not much choice with olddudders being in France but even so you still go for it - good on you! And your next few days sound so different, I bet you have a great time
Fingers crossed you get your new sofa GM never an easy task choosing!
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope there’s a flamingo hiding somewhere and take care all whatever the day brings
Good Morning everyone from sunny Severnside. Pinch punch.
I was another who stayed home yesterday and enjoyed my garden doing very little other than reading. There is a lot of houses all around me and there wasn’t a sound. No lawn mowing or children playing despite the number of trampolines (garden monsters) I can see from the bedroom windows. All I could hear was the birds.
Swimming today and I think I’ll venture off to a garden centre that sells other things as well as plants.
BeechNutella has her first vaccination this afternoon I’m pleased to say.
How exciting to be a smuggler Ash. Don’t get caught ???♂️
Take care all and enjoy your day ?
Morning Mick and all
The sky is blue and the sun is out yippee ?
I have a busy day fist I am off to an indoor trampoline park with DD and the boys. Two hours of bouncing and then lunch!
Then it’s back here so the boys can swim (well one will swim and I have no idea what The Imp will do but I guess we shall get splashed). Then this evening we are all out to dinner at our local Indian restaurant. They are all staying here tonight, o I maybe late posting tomorrow.
Lovely photos Ashcombe and cornergran
Keep safe and well folks ?♀️?
