Look at the opprobrium that has been heaped on the heads of the Sussexes. Look at the hero worship for Prince Phillip when he died. And now Catherine and Sophie are being built up by the papers as the perfect Royal consorts.

Everything, good and bad, gets exaggerated when a Royal is involved.

I dont think she has been deified at all. If you read these threads there are many who point out her faults while still acknowledging what she did achieve for good causes.

Yes I think Diana's age at the time of marriage is relevant. Whose health wouldnt have worsened after that.

I think that it's noteworthy that Diana's father, Johnny, turned his children against their mother, Frances Shand Kydd.

This was done as a reaction to her alleged infidelities, despite Johnny being himself unfaithful.

The adult children continued to have difficult relationships with Frances.

That young woman at 19 was used. How would anybody's mh be under those circumstances. She just wanted her husband to love her and not another woman, i'm sure that is all most brides want.

I never really took any notice of the Royals but when Prince George was born the sadness of the grandmother that was missing made me think more about this iconic woman.
