If we've got over the name choice anyone want to predict when the first photo will be released and how many people will post complaints on GN about how long it takes and how you can't see the baby?

Please - Just remind me to bob onto threads that I'm not remotely interested in, so that I can tell everyone that I'm not remotely interested.

It will be wrapped in a shawl and we may see one finger if we're really, really lucky.

The Magic Finger
(Wasn't that a book?)

Galaxy Tue 01-Jun-21 20:40:26

Wasnt it a tales of the unexpected story grin

Callistemon Tue 01-Jun-21 20:46:32

I think it's a Roald Dahl book - the first one my DD read all by herself without prompting, she was very proud of herself!

I think you're thinking of the leg of lamb, Galaxy!

LauraNorder Tue 01-Jun-21 20:47:38

My favourite royal ever would be Elizabeth I as portrayed in Black Adder.
Off with their heads

Galaxy Tue 01-Jun-21 20:50:58

I am sure I have read a horror about a finger. Maybe it was a hand though.

Talullah Tue 01-Jun-21 20:53:21

But will it be a B&W photo?

Callistemon Tue 01-Jun-21 20:53:27

Queenie! She is wonderful

The Finger of Suspicion?

Urmstongran Tue 01-Jun-21 21:03:34

I’m just reading and chuckling. Thanks everyone ?
I’m not fussed about any of them either way.
But I’ve read this whole thread ha!

SueDonim

I’ve got an incipient migraine and have to take a poorly cat to the vet in twenty minutes so I’m struggling to have an opinion to add to this thread. Someone tell me what to think, please! grin

I will! ?
The baby should be named Sue ( even if it’s a boy.)

SueDonim Tue 01-Jun-21 21:13:45

A boy named Sue? I’m sure there’s a song about that. grin

lemongrove Tue 01-Jun-21 21:25:55

Yup, that’s what I thought, it would make a man of him!?
Also, Meghan does tend to sue if displeased.

Blossoming Tue 01-Jun-21 22:30:07

Kim19 thanks for replying to my questions

Blossoming Tue 01-Jun-21 22:33:26

SueDonim I think Siouxsie Sioux would be a perfect name for the baby!

Well that will be ok as so many GNetters claim to wish the sussexes would fade into obscurity surely ?!

Maybe they will give a nod to the Duke of Edinburgh and have ‘Alice’ in there somewhere?

FannyCornforth Wed 02-Jun-21 07:49:42

'Morning everyonegrinsunshine

What would you all you ladies* call a baby girl?

I'm currently very taken by the name Josephine.
I think that it is very underused.
Josephine Kathryn (after my late mom)

*Apologies in advance to anyone who doesn't like that expression.
I can't think of anything else that's appropriate.
I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than say 'you guys'envy

I don't think that they will give a nod to anyone on Charles' side of the family

Suggestion: "What would you call a baby girl? "

Well, you brought it up ?

FannyCornforth Wed 02-Jun-21 08:17:00

I wanted to sound a bit more friendly, I suppose.
I've got nothing against the word 'ladies' anyway.
I did think it problematic when I was younger, but not anymore.

This sort of issue came up when I was teaching. I struggled to find a term to use with the whole class. Everyone else uses 'guys'...

FannyCornforth Wed 02-Jun-21 08:17:31

Sorry, the above was to Alegrias

Alegrias1 Wed 02-Jun-21 08:20:00

People? Students? Everyone? Nothing at all?

How do you know everyone posting here is female?

Sorry to divert the thread. I won't say any more.

FannyCornforth Wed 02-Jun-21 08:29:36

Divertion is absolutely fine, Alegrias personally I love it, it's more conversational.
But I do get a bit upset that you seem to want to turn everything into an argument.
I know it's daft, but I feel like you are shouting at me all of the time!
