Hello Everyone ?

Inspired by lemongroves 'Three Favourite Films' thread (at which I failed miserably).

Please name your top three.
I'm going to have to have a good think. I'm only going to include UK ones in mine, but it's up to you of course!

Thank you as ever x

Porridge ,so clever and Ronnie Barker was brilliant and Blackadder made me laugh outloud.

Blinko Thu 03-Jun-21 08:34:36

The Windsors
Blackadder
Yes Minister
Upstart Crow
Father Ted
'Allo 'Allo
Fawlty Towers
Butterflies
To the Manor Born

The only US series I really loved was MASH. Nothing else has come close.

I haven't watched TV for years and haven't had access to UK TV for over 40 years now but thanks to YouTube and presents of DVD's I do know a few.

The IT Crowd and Black Books were brilliant -, shame about Graham Linehan going all weird.

And Outnumbered was also excellent. The children were adorable but they have grown up so fast.

The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon I could lump together as one. Chuck Lorre has an amazing way of catching little bits of life and making them endearing, touching and so true.

FYI, Schitt's Creek is Canadian, but just picked up by US Netflix on their last year of production.

We enjoyed these US shows:
Friends
Big Bang Theory (the first few seasons)
Everyone Loves Raymond

Another Canadian one to watch for is Kim's Convenience.

Great post Terri smile haven't heard of This Country. I will have a look

DH really didn't like it but I loved it!

I can't choose, there have been so many mentioned on this thread that I've enjoyed over the years but generally British sitcoms, not American ones as our humour is different and more my preference.

Galaxy Wed 02-Jun-21 21:30:17

I expect a spreadsheet at the very least fanny smile

annodomini Wed 02-Jun-21 21:29:28

Ever decreasing circles

‘Allo ‘allo

One foot in the grave

Trisha57 Wed 02-Jun-21 19:54:15

No one's mentioned Coupling yet. A UK verison of Friends, but so much more subtle and very clever storylines. I would recomment it to anyone. Ever Decreasing Circles was brilliant, a true sitcom with no obvious jokes but all based on character. Final choice, Gavin and Stacey - a classic.

Puzzler61 Wed 02-Jun-21 19:06:57
