If I had my time again I don’t think I’d get married, we aren’t religious, and I think we would have committed to each other without a wedding ceremony.

I agree. Having a child together is the ultimate commitment which lasts far longer than a marriage can.

Fortunately we no longer live in an age when single parents and their children are ostracised, and I hope we never go back to them.

They are both very independently wealthy. Why would they want to do something like get married?

My daughter is pregnant now and wanted to be married before she started a family and she was not too old. However she has had two weddings postponed due to covid and has now booked a wedding for September next year. They wanted to do it the right way around but it’s not turned out that way, I only want them to be happy whatever they choose.

I think several of the Spice Girls had a baby before they married. It's fairly normal.

Well good luck to them. I watched the Brit Awards just out of curiosity, to see what is going on in the music industry. It was like a Tramps and Tarts Ball. Definitely an adult programme because there was no music suitable for young teens (10-14).

In answer to your question, people seem to think getting married is a much more serious commitment than having a baby, which as we know isn't the case!

I think freedom of choice in this arena can only be a good thing.
