I think your reaction was perfectly natural. Emotions are allowed. I hope the subsequent hugs helped as well as the drink flowers ?

Congratulations on your big birthday nadaturbe thankswine

What a wonderful surprise to see your family like that, no wonder you were overcome with it all. Many of us would react in the same way, its been such a difficult time and now hopefully it is almost back to normal. I'm sure your family understood how you felt. E joy your day.

It certainly was a wonderful surprise but also a huge shock!! I'm sure you recovered quite quickly and they would all understand. I hope the rest of the day went well and you had a lovely time with your family.

70th birthday. Husband smiling said There's another present in the kitchen. I walked in and there stood my son and partner whom I haven't seen for 3 years and my daughter whom I hadn't seen 18 months. Everything suddenly seemed unreal and I cried for a few minutes. Husband had to get me a drink. I was almost trembling. It was such a shock. I feel so stupid now for behaving like that. Why did I not just snile and say What a wonderful surprise!
