Good Morning everyone - and another glorious morning filled with the sounds of lawn sprinklers, squabbling sparrows and a very shouty collared/collard? dove on our chimney. Slightly better behaved than a fat wood pigeon who stood at the shallow ‘beach’ end of our pool the previous evening and had himself a wonderful bath. If the chlorine ruins his feathers, he’s only got himself to blame!
What a dreadful day for you all, dwmx - especially your poor Mum. At the risk of being a killjoy, I wouldn’t let him go off alone unless he’s trusted to go where there are people, never without a contact number in his pocket, or without a ‘phone, and with a small bottle of water. It’s not the rescuing of people when they have a little mishap, is it? It’s the not knowing and thinking that something dreadful might have happened when they don’t turn up which is so frightening when someone of that age goes off the radar. He possibly gave himself a fright, but nothing compared to your poor Mum, I should think.
Hope Mr H starts to stabilise very soon, Harri and there’s better news of your DB, kitty. Saw your Kitchen cats on the black cat thread at 5am when something woke me up and I couldn’t find my book. As you do! What a fabulous bunch of layabouts they are.
Wishing you good weather and an early start down at Cornish Construction, muse. After a day off and time to yourself, hope you’ve recharged.
Lots of work has paid off, grandmattie - pretty garden. Some seeds I sowed 2 afternoons ago (3rd day today) are showing green this morning! In this weather it’s almost instant gardening.
Safely home, brook. How lovely that you can just fly down to Cambridge from Inverness. Slightly less arduous than driving in the UK I should think. I’d have to settle for the train because I feel that flying is best left for the birds ?? My loss, of course.
Almost ready to hang out some bed linen. Then I shall set the alarm for an hour before I check it, because if I leave it out there to bake, it’s going to be a real struggle to iron and although I love the effect of ironing, it’s not my fave task I must admit.
Some shopping this afternoon for fresh food and then a swim.
Wishing you all a good day, doing nothing or doing lots?
Hope there’s some sunshine to make you relax and smile and some rain (after dark) to give your gardens a drink and the pavements a wash.
To all posters here, coming later or missing at the moment, please stay safe.
Flamingoes to all! ?????♀️
