Good morning from a cloudy north Surrey.
Thank you brooke for letting us know the news about Grandmajet. I have thought of her many times over the past few weeks. She was very upbeat and positive about her surgery on here. My thoughts are now for her grieving family.
I will leave it there for today. Virtual hugs to all

Morning Mick, morning All from an overcast corner of Somerset.

Sad news about GrandmaJet, thank you for passing on our condolences Brook.

Hairdresser for me too later, a week early, I could cope no longer and sent a plea for help, fortunately a cancellation at lunch time makes a space for me. I’m not sure what’s happened to my hair, but frankly I’d scare small children just now.

GP wasn’t at her most helpful yesterday, I wish she’d listen more and talk less. Need to chase up an electrician and carry on getting quotes for new doors, all normal if tedious stuff.

Take care everyone, hope Tuesday is gentle with us all.

Thank you brook. Very sad news.

Good morning, raining here again in Leicestershire.

Very sad about GrandmaJet thank you for passing on our condolences Brook.

Hairdresser this morning then my penultimate Pilates session this afternoon. I can’t say I have enjoyed it but the tea and cake was nice. Will stick to weights in future.

We were in Italy for the World Cup final in ‘66 watching it with a German family on the campsite!

Hope your brother continues to improve kitty and Marydoll recovered from her travels.

What very sad news, thank you brook2704.
We had some hefty storms and rain late yesterday, friends round the corner lost power for a few hours. ?nose calmed down Ashcombe thanks, hope OldUdders is keeping well.
Yesterday, before storms, was library, bathroom cleaning, domestic stuff. Had a call in the morning, FIL in hospital with a heart attack, stent quickly fitted, if all’s well, he’ll be home Thursday. Then, about 4 DD let me know our granddaughter had received a talent for writing certificate from the Young Writers association, her piece will be published. Imogen is 13 and had not even mentioned this work which was all done through school, very proud we all are.
Two amazing games of football last night, hopefully a less dramatic one at 5 tonight ???????.
Wishing you all a gentle day, thoughts with those absent and grandmajet’s family.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where again it is damp and dreary.
I'm very sorry to hear the news of Grandmajet, thank you Brook for passing on our collective condolences.
Yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening alternating between great tennis and exciting football. Let's hope it's as good today. Come on England ⚽️⚽️.
I have a JL gift voucher to purchase this morning from our local Waitrose and a few bits of shopping to do.
DH is enjoying his sailing trip, yesterday they were in Harwich.
Have a pleasant Tuesday everyone xx

That is very sad news about Grandmajet and I’d like to send every sympathy to her family flowers

Good morning all, somehow wittering on about my doings doesn’t seem appropriate - I am here and you are here and for that we can be grateful. I wish you all a gentle day.

Good morning, everyone from a cloudy Torbay. Yesterday we had beautiful sunshine following 36 hours of rain! No need to build an ark after all!

Thank you for sharing the sad news about Grandmajet, brook2704 and for acting on behalf of us all in sending a message of support. ✝️

Scentia, I'm impressed with the walking and running undertaken by your family! Well done! On Sunday, I was delighted that my DGS2's football team won their league final, after some difficult times. My SiL is the manager and is very dedicated but was frustrated by the lack of fitness in some players following the lockdown, despite him sending weekly videos of skills to practise. Some parents are less supportive than others, too. The way of the world, sadly. A delightful picture of your DGS, Grandmadinosaur!

Jaxjacky I hope your nosebleed soon stopped and that your hand pain is easing, Grandmabatty. I'm sure you will have enjoyed your trips yesterday, hollysteers and brook2704. Yes, amselerin: I think we all remember where we were in July, 1966 for that memorable game. I was on holiday in Jersey with my parents.

A beautiful photo, Gwenisgreat1 of Melrose Abbey yesterday! I hope you opted for the walk rather than the ironing, NanKate53! I hope your brother continues to improve after yesterday’s heartening news, kittylester. Also your DH, harrigran.

The impromptu concert sounds wonderful, Gingster! Lucky you! What is Chimes? A Looks like you had a “hare raising” experience, Gelisajams! (Ahem!) Excellent! I hope you feel less tired today after your exciting break, Marydoll and that you are feeling better today, muse. The weather doesn’t help. ?

I hope you had a safe trip, ginny. Whereabouts in the SW are you? A beautiful owl, Nannagarra!

I’m visiting our Little Theatre today to support our team of Props ladies. We have an Aladdin's cave of props for every eventuality with everything on labelled shelves and recorded in a database. In normal circumstances, we hire items to other local companies. I’m also meeting a newly enrolled Toad to show her round our facilities.

Have a good day, everyone! ?

Oh how sad brook but how kind of her daughter to let us know via you. Thank you.

brook2704 Tue 29-Jun-21 06:37:13

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry, warm and bright

Today I’m sorry to be the bearer of some very sad news.
Yesterday I received a message from grandmajets daughter to say she had sadly passed away on 11th June. Grandmajet was one of our regular posters who many of you will have come to know. She will be very sadly missed. On behalf of us all I’ve sent our deepest and heartfelt condolences to her daughter and family and our thoughts and prayers are with them all.

Good Morning everyone from a dry and cloudy Severnside.

I’m off for a swim this morning then I’ve sorting to do and work at home.

Yesterday I got half way through the sewing on my top and came downstairs to make a cup of tea to find a note from my friend saying she couldn’t make me hear. I tested the doorbell and it was ok and worked fine later when my brother came by.
Not to worry we can catch up again.

I hope you all have a good day without worries ?

Good morning Mick and all from an overcast south Cornwall where I'm excited because this morning I'm returning to my allotment for the first time in months. Expecting it to be a mini jungle but at least I can do a recce and plan what help is need. It's a corner plot surrounded by trees, abundant with lavender, herbs, wild flowers, globe artichokes and soft fruit. A haven of peace and nature.

Then this afternoon I'll be meeting up with the allotment ladies' knitters in our coffee morning shed there, again the first time for ages. My old life beginning to return.... Tomorrow I'll need to recover in front of Wimbledon!

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its a cloudy start but the ground is dry at the moment here in Brackley .
Today , a busy one in away , housework followed by a haircut , then late morning get the bus to Bicester for usual hour, then return to relax with Tour De France on Tv and watch it slowly unfold as no twp. stages are the same , mainly seeing how the Brits perform.
Take Care ,
Mick
