Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but part cloudy here in Brackley this morning, today small early shop then watch the Tour De France with its slightly early start ,late morning.
Yesterdays was with Cav getting another win, 3 to go for new record , also the situation with Cav resembles Andy Murray both returning from injury and illness , by delivering the goods when it matters most to the wider audience.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A cool, overcast start to our South Yorkshire day. It’s quiet here now that DS and DiL have gone home. We all had a lovely couple of days while they were here. Today I have a haircut booked, so I will not look like a scarecrow this evening when we go out to dinner to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary! Have the best day you can, folks, and stay safe.

Good morning from a bright and sunny east coast of Fife.

Yesterday the warm sunshine had me spraying factor 50 on my skin it was so hot and I was beginning to wonder which Mediterranean country I was in.

A long telephone conversation took place with my gps pharmacist she was particularly very nice where we discussed my medication and the possibility of removing some things which are no longer necessary.

My ds wee pooch was very restless this morning she had her owner awake at 6am and everyone else in the house. Must get that squeak on her bedroom door fixed. My dh was also very restless I had to poke and prod him to stop the snoring saying get on your side he replied by saying I am on my side what’s a woman to do?

I’ve got a good morning ahead where I’m meeting up with a few lady friends for mid morning coffee. Himself will hit a few golf balls while waiting until we disperse. We’re having our dear cousins to stay on Saturday overnight the whisky bottle is coming out to watch the footy guess who we want to win?they’re all very patriotic in this house bet there’s going to be lots of screaming and shouting at the tv lots of analysing too.

Have a good weekend all you sports lovers and keep safe DAE AS YER TELTgrin

Happy anniversary to you both Greyduster??

Gingster Fri 02-Jul-21 08:14:20

Good morning all and it’s a lovely bright start.

I don’t think our visitors in Suffolk have had the best weather this week but not too much rain, just overcast and dull. I had a message saying they were enjoying their time there. My other nephew was going to join them for a couple of days and they planned a trip to Minsmere Nature Reserve. Spring watch was filmed there a couple of years ago and it’s just up the coast from our cottage.

This morning I am dog walking with my old neighbour/friend . She will come back for a coffee and then DH and I are off to join friends in a country pub for lunch. There will be 9 of us , so a jolly time will be had.

Ash - I’m glad your MRI went well for you. I’ve never had one and don’t think I could manage 45 minutes in a capsule. ?. Have a great time with your family in Crewe.

Alizirin you are a very brave lady being out and about after your Op. Take care and enjoy your day. ?.

I hope all your appointments go well . Health wise or other.

Take care ???.

Morning Mick and all

Grey here in S E Essex, the sun is battling to peep through.

We have the Imp today, he appears to have gone into terrible two’s at just 18 months, it will be a long day. Hopefully get out for a walk.

Going to our local Indian restaurant this evening, just us two.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Grandmabatty Fri 02-Jul-21 08:16:48

Grannygravy my heartfelt sympathy. My dgs is very much in the terrible twos. His saving grace is that it doesn't last and he's very sweet but when he's not ...

Happy Anniversary Greyduster??

Sar53 Fri 02-Jul-21 08:27:32

Good morning from my bit of Essex where the sun is shining.
I'm off to have my hair cut this morning ready for my middle brother's 60th Birthday party tomorrow. There will be 29 of us in a pub garden in the afternoon, I hope the weather is kind to us.
DH will be going to do some work on his boat later and then we will be watching the football this evening. I will catch up with some tennis this afternoon..
Enjoy Friday everyone xx

Good morning from an overcast Sefton coast.
My goodness, there’s so much busyness here. Reading about your activities, Mattie, puts me in a spin! The little man your DGD made for her dad is so cute, Alizarin. Like you, she is very talented. Ashcombe, you relate the MRI procedure so calmly. I prefer to quickly skip past any thought of such and focus on the train journeys you describe (heavenly). It’s some time since I visited Compton Fishacre, ginny, but I think the front door is cleverly constructed to deal with lower temperatures. (I’m deliberately being unclear here.) Good luck with your ‘date’ with the new RA consultant, Marydoll.
I’m looking forward to doing as little as possible. May your day be brightened by a smile and a flamingo. ???

Lins1066 Fri 02-Jul-21 08:36:59

Good morning all from a sunny, warm S Welsh coast.
Happy Anniversary to you both greyduster ?
Enjoy your meal tonight GrannyGravy
What a nice thing for your DD to do Susan
Enjoy Coleton Fishacre ginny it is one of our favourite NT properties, I can imagine the D'Oyly Carte set enjoying an evening in that beautiful sitting room with the grand piano.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day.

Morning from S Lanarkshire where it’s cloudy but the sun is breaking through
Lovely pictures Brook and Gelisajams

Had a lovely time with my youngest grandson, he stayed over the night before last and I took him home yesterday morning. It was an absolute joy after after 16 months, I used to stay two nights a week with them doing regular childminding and I had missed that so much. All my grandchildren are school age now so that won’t be needed and I can enjoy the fun without so much responsibility. 18 months older now, I am realising not all change is bad!

A visit with a dear friend this afternoon who is having a lot of health problems just now but we always enjoy a real laugh together so I’m very much looking forward to that.

Wishing everyone the best of days??

Nannagarra Fri 02-Jul-21 08:43:00

Happy anniversary Greyduster. ??? ? ?

BlueSapphire Fri 02-Jul-21 08:44:52

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Northampton, but sunshine is forecast later, so I shall cut the back grass before the rain we are promised tomorrow.

Had a lovely evening walk yesterday in sunshine, and a good meal and wine afterwards at the pub. We had three new walkers join us, the more the merrier!

No other plans for today except to make a curry for tonight's dinner.

Thank you for the picture, beechnut. I haven't tried the gin but a local company makes it, and have sampled their wares many times, so I know it will be good!

Wishing all a pleasant day.

baubles Fri 02-Jul-21 08:47:54

Good morning Mick, morning all. It’s bright and sunny again here in South Lanarkshire, we don’t often get a spell of continuous good weather so I turn my face to the sun like a little flower whenever we do.

We had lovely afternoon at the museum yesterday, booked slots so no crowds, the children just dot about looking at whatever takes their eye. A walk in the sunshine back to their house, with an ice cream from the van in the park on the way, took us nicely to five o’clock when their Mum finished working.

No charity shop for me today as the manager is on holiday and the charity has no cover for annual leave as they had to pay off most of the employed staff last year. It seems daft not to have at least a couple of mobile managers as the losses must be huge. However mine is not to reason why....

Wishing everyone a peaceful day, hope you spot a flamingo along the way.

Anniebach Fri 02-Jul-21 08:49:44

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Ashcombe Fri 02-Jul-21 08:50:14

I feel like I’m the recipient of undeserved sympathy regarding the MRI so to clarify: the whole procedure took 45 mins, broken down into two twenty minute sessions actually inside the pod. Half way through, I was brought out of the scanner for the dye to be inserted. That’s when I had a five minute doze before going back in. Being flat on my back throughout made my brain think it was time for dreamland! ???

hollysteers Fri 02-Jul-21 08:56:46

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest Lancashire coast.
Off to art group soon after trying to eat two baby avocados, hard as hell, but looking ready. Resorted to bananas, that old stand by when on the move. Don’t feel like going, always feeling like death in the morning, but I will be glad afterwards I’m sure.
Face timing with friends and then my sister in the south, which was a very long enjoyable chat with lots of laughing, even with troubles. I wish she lived nearer, we are very close.
Thoughts to everyone, have a nice day.

A couple of photos to give Marydoll's tidy genes a wobble!!

Happy Anniversary to the Greydusters ??

B9exchange Fri 02-Jul-21 09:01:59

Good morning everyone, overcast and dull here again, hoping for a sun breakthrough later.

Lovely photo Brook, gives me hope, we start our Scotland Grand Tour on Sunday and had been thinking of packing thermals! Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dornoch, John O'Groates, Orkney, Ullapool, Ardnamurchan and then Sterling. Must get the suitcases down and clear out the bigger spare room for the cat sitters who arrive tomorrow.

So glad you survived the MRI Ash, you are braver than me, I do suffer from claustrophobia, and I think they would have to knock me out to get me in one!

I have a conference call this morning at 10.30 about the residential conference we are trying to run in October. Our parent organisation likes to make life as difficult as possible for us when they are supposed to be supporting us, have run this for many years, but I think I will make this the last one, I will let the younger element have the hassle! Mustn't forget it with everything else going on.

Have the best day possible everyone, thinking of those who are struggling.

Marydoll Fri 02-Jul-21 09:08:14

Pitt, that I can handle, my own I can't.
I am very methodical, but a few weeks ago DH and the contractors randomly moved all my veggies in among the bushes and piled wood beside them. My lettuce, gooseberries and strawberries look delicious, but I can't get to them! ?

I know, there are people with more to worry about. I just need to moan to someone and I will be fine. grin

LauraNorder Fri 02-Jul-21 09:23:36

Good morning from warm but still overcast Anglesey.
Enjoyed a lovely long chat over lunch with one of my most lovely friends. We laughed so much I ache this morning.
Happy anniversary Greyduster. 55 years is quite something.
Happy birthday to all the various offspring mentioned.
Well done Ash for giving a good positive message about scans and train journeys, I’m sure it helps the anxious folk amongst us.
Love the little man your granddaughter made for her daddy Alizarin, a bit like a Tony Hart piece, was it Morph or Mort? Something like that.
Long walk planned for me today as I rather overindulged on the pud yesterday.
Wishing you all the best of days ?

muse Fri 02-Jul-21 09:24:27

Good morning Mick and hello to all of you up bright and early. No workmen today so everyone here’s had a lie in.

Sun is peeping through in mid Cornwall.

Ash. Same experience for me with the MRI (dye). I was warned about how noisy the machine is and am always thankful my head isn’t inside. Quite used to them these days. It gives me chance to do some planning. ?

DD and DGD had a terrible day in St Ives yesterday. The little train from St Erth to St Ives was jammed packed with people standing too. The town was overflowing with no distancing at all. They stayed an hour then left. The train again jammed packed with not ever wearing masks. They rescued the day with a trip to our favourite beach.

Sad day as they are returning home late this afternoon. We have rain due tomorrow and DD can’t drive for long periods through heavy rain. (Vision).

Getting up after I finish my cuppa, try out my leg ?and finish reading all your posts.
