Thank you Jax.x

Jaxjacky Tue 10-Aug-21 21:15:13

Well that’s is all very sad Susan, I’m thinking of you all x

Marydoll Tue 10-Aug-21 20:56:28

Soop, I use a PC and this is what I do.

Ctrl key and hold down the P key at the same time.

You can then print the pages you want. I know nothing about Macs, but I suspect the process is the same.

Susan56 Tue 10-Aug-21 20:53:26

Jax from what we can ascertain it is a new disability that he didn’t have when he was admitted which will affect his daily living. The chances of him coming home aren’t looking good.

Doodle Tue 10-Aug-21 20:48:40

Many congratulations bladeannie lovely news ?
soop Marydoll may be able to help you, she’s quite good at the pooter stuff.
TOYA ?

Jaxjacky Tue 10-Aug-21 20:34:53

Susan might I ask what a hospital acquired disability is/means? Not something I’ve heard of before.
These young GC’s growing out of their naps, tsk, tsk, how inconsiderate of them ? I remember when mine did, then stretching out the time before bed as they were grumpy.
First drive for my volunteering today since early 2020, it was good to be back.
I hope today went well Yia. I hope MrM’s leg has improved further muse.
So lovely to see some sun today, hope you all had some, have a peasant evening and sleep well all x

Susan56 Tue 10-Aug-21 20:11:20

Popping in for a rest on a chaise lounge if there is one available.

We looked after Henry and the divine Miss M today.DD’s first day in actual work for two years.Henry fought his nap but I was determined??took a while to get him to sleep and he only had a short nap but enough for us to recharge!

Tomorrow we are going to Stafford to see B.Apparently he keeps pointing at our picture and saying I miss them!

FIL who had no diagnosis when he went into hospital now has hospital acquired disability?we are hoping to be given an appointment to see him within the next few days??

TOYA and have a good evening everyone.

TillyTrotter Tue 10-Aug-21 19:22:36

Welcome to your little GS BladeAnnie - glad his arrival was a safe one. I expect you are already measuring him up for a Blades kit ?
Your nanna duties have just doubled but I know you won’t mind. ??

Grandmabatty Tue 10-Aug-21 17:54:04

Nannytopsy. I sympathise. The boy wonder won't nap anymore despite really needing one today and it was warm here too. I ended up watching a terrible programme about monster trucks with him for an hour as he lay on the couch determined not to sleep! Soop I can offer no advice I'm afraid. Sorry

Nannytopsy Tue 10-Aug-21 17:45:41

Congratulations BA! You are excused missing the cancan and the conga.
It’s warm here and I have two grumpy grandchildren. TV I think!

soop Tue 10-Aug-21 17:41:21

I am unable to print the pages that I wish to keep. I've managed to do so long ago. Can anyone tell me how to go about selecting those pages I wish to print and keep for future smiles?

Away for today. I shall return tomorrow. smile moon

soop Tue 10-Aug-21 15:51:52

Good afternoon to you lovely lot. Have just this minute washed the dishes. Oot and aboot all morning. Visited our pal in the care home. Oh dear! He managed to smile a lot. He also shed a few tears whenever he reminisced about days gone by. We had the Covid test on arrival. Went away for thirty minutes and were allowed into his room as the test was negative.

BladeAnnie Hearty congratulations on the birth of your new grandson. Another Leo the lion joins humanity. We wish him a good life. flowers

chicken The artist who advertises in your village magazine is seriously good. I am an untrained novice. I paint for the joy of it and, if something I create lifts a friend's spirits, that is my real reward.
I am sketching Hellogirl1's darling cat in readiness for a painting that I hope to give her just as soon as I'm able to catch-up with everyday duties that have been neglected recently.

Charleygirl That amounts to £13 per annum. hmm It's going to mean that if I still yearn for a Mini Cooper convertible, I shall have to live for an awful lot longer. By which time, I won't be able to get in or out of the driving seat.

The rave-up on the night of my 80th has tickled me pink. Mr Soop read through all your comments and he's still smiling.
I am about to print all accounts of the event. I shall keep them and, whenever I feel jaded, I shall sit somewhere comfortable and re-live all your antics. grin Thank you.

chicken Tue 10-Aug-21 11:47:21

Saw this in our local village magazine and straight away thought of soop. Hope you can see the small print. Our brilliant artist could be swanning it on the Riviera but generously gives her talent to friends, neighbours and "us lot". How lucky we are to have her.

Charleygirl5 Tue 10-Aug-21 08:09:39

soop now that you are 80- have you seriously considered how you will spend, or more likely save the extra 25p? May I suggest you find a local financial adviser? It is such an insult really they should keep it.

Has Fern dropped by for a meal or three?

Jaxjacky Tue 10-Aug-21 07:40:12

Congratulations BA to you all, what lovely news ?

Susan56 Tue 10-Aug-21 06:57:06

A big congratulations BA such lovely news! A new baby grandson, so wonderful! Hope mum and baby are doing fine

That’s such a kind gesture jaxj well done to you!

BladeAnnie Mon 09-Aug-21 22:37:04

Well what a party ? I missed!! For a very good reason dear soop so do hope I'm forgiven?? I was on very early nanna duty (which meant an equally early night?), but my DD1 and DIS welcomed their son - our first grandson into the world this afternoon. Mum, dad, baby (and big sister) are very well. Nanna and grandad are very proud but also very tired so here I'll say goodnight

Doodle Mon 09-Aug-21 22:09:22

Is it safe to come in? We didn’t leave any mess did we?
soop such a lovely photo of you. ?
Glad you had a lovely birthday. We had a great party in your honour. I must remember I’m too old for those high kicks in the can can ? .
Jaxjacky what a lovely thing to do with your mum’s money. How generous and thoughtful.
grandmafrench glad you survived the party. It was good fun.
muse’s knickers are back with their owner and all is peaceful at the Argy. We are all worn out. ?
grandmabatty ok we now know where Sir Tom is but we’ve still not caught sight of George C. ………?
muse glad to hear MrMs leg is feeling a bit better.
We’ve just had a Sainsbugs delivery. Nearly went to bed forgetting they were coming blush

Grandmafrench Mon 09-Aug-21 21:36:31

What a totally wonderful thing to do, jax - take a bow! In fact, take a couple of bows. Your Mum would be so proud!!

Hope you're feeling a bit calmer, susan, even those Llamas get to taste the pasties, muse. I never got a sniff. Next time, please? Hope Mr M's leg will pass muster tomorrow and good luck, Yia, shall be thinking of you. You'll get there, blossoming - slowly but surely you'll get fit again.
Nighty night, I'm off with my hot chocolate for some much-needed beauty sleep - and a vow not to CanCan with (or even without) Doodle for a while. Phew! That gal is a tour de force and ain't that the truth.
Sweet dreams from French France x

Hellogirl1 Mon 09-Aug-21 21:00:56

What a wonderfully generous gesture JaxJacky!

muse Mon 09-Aug-21 20:30:29

2:00am soop!?You do know how to party. I was fast asleep by then. More today too - well done. Swept the kitchen floor and gathered together the crumbs from the pasties. Off to the Argy now. ~The llamas will finish them off. Just retrieved my tartan knickers from behind the juke box Doodle.

Brilliant news about the 2nd defibrillator Jaxjacky. As your mum and dad would most definitely be, I am also chuffed about how you and the others used their money.

Hope all goes well with the hospital appointments tomorrow *Yiayia4 *?

That'sh ? Grandmafrench. Hmm

Good luck with the steps target Blossoming. You have so much determination. Well done.

Perfect holiday Susan56. Welcome back.

We forgot to set the alarm this morning and I woke to Mya barking. She'd heard a large lorry rumbling down the track. Our 7:00am delivery of sand for the slabs!

Tomorrow is dressing change day for MrM. He is looking decidedly perkier today and not taken any paracetamol for two days now. I'm busy doing an email to Germany tonight. MrM needs advice on the programmer that controls our self generating set up. He'll get the instructions and then pass them to me. He doesn't do IT.

Sleep well my kitchen pals ?
