Good Morning Everyone,
At the present moment here in Brackley its dry but cloudy , expecting rain.
Today , will see my usual trip by bus to Bicester ,and then return for the Tour De France on TV .
Yesterdays Bargain hunt as mentioned was from Brackley Antiques Cellar , looked recent as only the owners , contestants ,and others were in the building , normally its known locally if they filming in there , as the like to have a few people wondering about .
But under the circumstances , it was probably the ideal place to make a programme .
Take Care,
Mick

Sorry to hear of Imogen' s diagnosis. I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 18 and am now 63.
LauraNorder is quite correct that both knowledge and medication has come on leaps and bounds. There are very few side effects from my medication and my fits are completely under control.
Feel free to pm me if you would like to Jaxjacky.

So sorry to hear the news about Imogen Jax such a shock for you all. I am sure modern medicine will control it. My daughters friend had it in her teens but grew out of it.

What a shock for you all Jax, but as others have said it is not the disease it used to be with lots of new treatments. Of course you will all grieve and it will take some getting used to, my prayers for you all.

Just catching up with your news Jax
We too have epilepsy in our family. The medication has its place of course but am hoping there will be advise given on the ketogenic diet which has shown huge benefits to many children with epilepsy.
Sending my regards to you and your family at this difficult time of change and acceptance

Jaxjacky The ketogenic diet can be adapted for vegetarians, vegans and children with special dietary needs, but it needs to be supervised by a dietitian. One of my little nephews developed intractable infantile epilepsy as a baby and the Keto plan has worked wonders for him. He’s 8 now, at a mainstream school and doing pretty well.

There is a very helpful charity, The Daisy Garland, their website has useful info. Of course, she may not need anything other than a mild medication to keep it under control, but here’s a link to their website.
