Comfortable long waterproof coat for dog walking?

Hello everyone, I got absolutely drenched today walking the dog, and had to change completely when I got home. I have a Joules rain mac, it just couldn't cope.

I don't like crunching along in waterproof trousers, and want a longer coat to protect my legs - as well as a good fixed hood.

Has anyone found a good one please?

I used to have a long riding Mac which I bought at a Dobbies Garden Centre but my DH went for quality swore by his long Drizabone

Seasalt have a multitude of fantastic rain coats .

The label in mine says "Jack Murphy Outdoor" and the label in my husband's says "Country Estate Highgrove." They're the same style as in MawBe's lovely photo.
Mine is long enough to hang below the top of my wellies so it keeps all my clothes dry. I found it on sale hanging outside a post office in the Lake District!

I was going to suggest a Drizabone too,

Lovely photo of Paw, MawBe

I bought a Joules mac a couple of years ago, it seems waterproof but it it only just below hip length.
It replaced one from M&S which was absolute rubbish.

Thank you very much for responding, I've made a note of the brands.

I've just been looking at Seasalt as I do have one of their tin cloth macs but it's too short as well as unlined, too cold today. Can't get a jumper on underneath it.

Right off to investigate your suggestions! Night!

I second the vote for Jack Murphy coats. When I used to be able to walk properly I found their coats ideal for dog walking in dire weather ! I remember buying one from a garden centre, and another from an online shopping conglomerate which shall be nameless (?). It was a style called Avril and was fantastic.

I would say Sea salt too...my one keeps me bone dry.

I am another fan of Seasalt raincoats. Mine is long enough to cover all with a pair of waterproof boots, but if dog walking in muddy conditions prefer to wear my north face jacket and waterproof trousers.
