I find it cringeworthy, though not as cringeworthy as his voting record, his filibustering or that it appears he has personally made an estimated £7 million from the Brexit he helped drive through.

These guys treat parliament like their own personal playground with their lounging around, making feeble jokes and blithering on about football....and what do we do? We compliment them on their diction and argue amongst ourselves.

How do you define sheltered? I’ve only lived and worked in four countries /speak four languages /have taught in inner city and leafy suburb schools / have travelled alone through the USA, flown alone to Australia four times/ have experienced and survived cancer, but if that is sheltered, so be it.

This week I’ve been out for lunch twice played two tennis matches two games of bridge and visited two friends, so maybe I should get out more.

And in all that vast myriad of life experiences, Lucca, THIS is the "most agonisingly cringeworthy thing" you have ever come across?

He was educated in exactly the same place at the same time as many of his political contemporaries, and yet he chooses to adopt a cadence and pronunciation style of a deliberately antediluvian and mannerly nature. It’s an affectation. His speech is deliberately affected for attention, in exactly the same way as the Kardashians’ speech is. This is why people mock him. It is transparently inauthentic.

I love his voice. I can understand every word he speaks. He wants his thoughts to be heard by all unlike those who mumble mispronounce and generally are hard to understand.
