Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like the start of a hot warm summers day here in Brackley this morning.
Today , will see the usual bus trip to Bicester for my coffee stop ,and a small shop , before returning home to watch the final stage in the Pyrenees on the Tour De France .
Although its a cycle race the organisers, try to cover the regions they visit from helicopter shots of local places of interest , so to promote the country tourism wise , plus race has seen an increase of art created by farmers and locals also visible from the air, unsure whether there is a competition for those displays , they do similar in UK with tours of Britain, and Yorkshire .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from sunny Shropshire.

Had a much needed restful day yesterday.Today I am going to Cheshire Oaks with DD while DH looks after H and does the school run later.

Mary???

Have a good day all??

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 14°, sunny with brilliant blue skies and forecast to reach the mid twenties. There's little breeze either.
I had a message from Marydoll. She's not been feeling too well but hopes to post in a few days.
Ashcombe enjoy your break.
Yesterday I donned my hard hat to visit mum as she can be very difficult but it wasn't required as she was ok. She complained about aches and pains but nothing sinister. Then I went to see my friend for coffee. We put the world to rights (again). The afternoon was too hot to do much buy I hoovered and washed the floors.
Today I'll nip to the pharmacy to get my prescription and do washings and hang them out. Have a good day all.

Good Morning everyone from a bright Severnside. Possibly a hot one today so although I’m having a late start I’d like to get most things done this morning.

I’ve a lot of washing to do so will get some walking done up and down to the line. Some dusting and lawn mowing need attending.

You’ve a lot of anniversaries to catch up and celebrate Ash when you and dudders get together.

Take care all and enjoy the day ?

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Gingster Thu 15-Jul-21 08:19:49

Good morning all and the sun is out here in Essex.

Bowls this morning and then I plan to finish my book in the garden.

Last night I had a meal out with my young friend and saw all her wedding photos. She looked so beautiful. The pub where we had booked had closed its kitchen for some reason so we found another and enjoyed our time together.

Enjoy the sun everyone. ?

Morning from a beautifully sunny S Lanarkshire. Glad to read your good news*Ashcombe*, it must have been so hard for both of you over the last 20 months.

I read yesterday’s posts last night after a day in our local hospital. I had wakened up at 5 o’clock with a pain underneath my left breast. It has happened a couple of times before but this time my jaw and arm felt a bit sore too. After a bit of worry I decided to bite the bullet and call the emergency service.
To cut a long story short, I was taken in to A&E and checked very thoroughly. No heart attack thank God, the consultant has tweaked my medication and I got home.
I must express my admiration and gratitude to all involved, everyone was efficient and very kind although extremely busy.
I checked that I can continue all my activities as before, looking after grandchildren etc since I knew the grilling I would get from family but was reassured, now I have to reassure/defy sundry daughters!

Wishing everyone a lovely day, I definitely am seeing ???

Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton. At least it will be dry so I can get the grass cut this afternoon.

Didn't do a lot yesterday; sorted out my Sainsbury's delivery, and put some dried fruit to soak in strong hot tea.

So today I need to get the cats ready to be collected at lunchtime to go on their holidays. Then add flour, mixed spice and eggs to my dried fruit mixture and get the cakes in the oven. And then start packing for my holiday tomorrow in North Wales. The weather looks amazing for the next week.

Glad to hear the message from Marydoll and hope she feels better and is able to post again soon.

Wishing all a pleasant day.

Good Morning and at last the sun is out. I’m very thankful as my wash basket is overflowing!
We had a tiring but enjoyable day yesterday with dgs at the railway museum in York. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a day out not just for little ones but adults too. We went into York on the park and ride bus from a large retail park on the outskirts. Grandson loved that as we went upstairs and sat as the the front. In his words I can see everything this is amazing ? we stopped off at the retail park for an hour first where dgs went on the outdoor play area and I had a quick scoot around the shops. So many bargains to be had I got a winter coat in M&S for £7 ! As the bus went around York before our stop I noticed the shopping area there looked sooo busy ?
Today I’ll have a quiet morning pottering about before my dreaded dentist appointment early this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone and take care.

Good morning from a very bright start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. Bet your bottom dollar the weather warms up later on in the day.

South of the border according to my ds is so clammy at least we can be thankful for the cool breeze coming off the sea.

Hope he can travel to see us for the annual shindig on the 24th, thankfully it’s all going ahead thanks to Nicola and the people all around.

It’ll be a tub of ice cream today by the beach no cones, they dripped all over the car last time.

Have a lovely Thursday all! enjoy the good weather sunshinetake care smile

Good morning from rather dull North Hants. I really enjoy and appreciate all the beautiful photos that are posted here (a particular shout out to Ashcombe), so thought I would try myself with photos from the wonderful West Dean Gardens.

Oldbutstilluseful Thu 15-Jul-21 08:29:17

and more (hopefully)

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
I already have a load of washing and bedding airing on the line in the breeze.

Bathroom fitter is coming to measure up this morning. We hope he'll be able to give us a date for the work so that we can make plans to be elsewhere.
I am also expecting delivery of a new mobile phone, so setting that up will take some time today.

Sending love to the much missed Marydoll and to all x

Gwenisgreat1 Thu 15-Jul-21 08:36:28

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Never made it to Aldi yesterday hope to manage today. Making my shopping list for next week, there’s a lot that Sainsburies do not have?? Is it a national shortage?
Went to hairdresser yesterday when I got home a friend came round and gave me reflexology- wow!
Today joining my art group to go sketching
Missing you marydoll hope you are writing a novella for us!
Have a great day everyone

Greyduster Thu 15-Jul-21 08:37:33

Good morning Michael and all GNs. It’s cloudy and breezy in South Yorkshire but the sun keeps trying to break through. We cut the long pyracantha hedge on the other side of our garden wall yesterday so that it didn’t encroach the pavement. We usually sweep up one large garden bag of clippings; yesterday there were two. It’s getting out of control and we may soon have to get someone to do it for us☹️ But at the moment, all that cutting and sweeping is good exercise! Today we are going to a nearby shopping outlet for a look round. It also has a garden centre attached to it……?
Have a good day, folks and stay safe.

Lindy56 Thu 15-Jul-21 08:41:11

A bright and sunny one here in Torbay. A relaxing facial this morning. This evening going to a local amdram version of Agatha Christie Spiders Webb all social distanced of course. Looking forward to it as it has been a while since we have been to the theatre. Only I thing am not sure about is the mask wearing for the performance. Maybe when seated we can take masks off like in pubs. Will have to see. Yes, Ashcombe the infection numbers are creeping up in Torbay which is very worrying. Have a good one everyone and keep safe.

Nannytopsy Thu 15-Jul-21 08:42:12

Good morning Mick and all his followers. Sunny in Suffolk! Today is our 43rd wedding anniversary and the first time DH has forgotten. He knows that date of the anniversary but had no idea what date it is today! I have arranged a delivery of Cornish pasties for him!
The photos are Fullers Mill garden near Bury St Edmunds. We had a WI visit yesterday evening which was glorious. West Dean looks lovely Oldbut.
Best wishes Marydoll - we worry about you.
There’s a new ironing board and a pile of ironing awaiting…
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Oldbutstilluseful Thu 15-Jul-21 08:48:03

And again ?

Nannagarra Thu 15-Jul-21 08:50:17

Sorry to hear you’re not feeling too well, Marydoll. Sending a hug and wishes for your speedy recovery.
Yes, Grandmajean, Chester was well and truly buzzing! Posh shops, buskers attracting people to dance in the street, lots of cafe culture.
Plant is a metre tall and wide, Alizarin and sways gracefully in the breeze, shedding stems. It’s quite fecund and would take over the rest of the border if I allowed its babies to grow. (DH likes it; I don’t.) Can someone ID it please?

Grandmadinosaur Thu 15-Jul-21 08:50:30

Happy Anniversary Nannytopsy and sending thoughts to Marydoll

GrannySomerset Thu 15-Jul-21 08:59:16

Today’s main thrill will be putting my new window vac to work on the much neglected inside of our quite large windows which are a disgrace. That’s the downside of sun - it shows one up so. Zoom book group this afternoon but we plan to meet in person in future if my plans for support with DH come off.

So sorry Marydoll has been unwell and hope she is on the mend soon. Otherwise lots of plans show that people are getting back to a more interesting way of life which has to be better for us.

gardener44 Thu 15-Jul-21 09:00:53

Hello from south Leics.
Murky sky this morning, but promise of sun later. Problems with bad back at the moment so not much gardening going on.
Much knitting to do so have included a friend who dropped by this morning ! Hope everyone has a good day.

Grandmajean Thu 15-Jul-21 09:03:23

A very happy anniversary to you and DH Nannytopsy
