Good morning Mick grandMattie and all to follow.

Bright sunshine in South Bucks.

Packing to go to the New Forest tomorrow for a week of sunshine. Our last two short holidays have been a total wash out.

Will check back later to see if Mary is back with us.

Good morning from a bright and sunny Torbay.

Yesterday, I called in at my local on the Downs, The Buccaneer, to learn from the landlord that they’d just finished a 10 day closure period due to staff having to self isolate. Apparently, about a dozen other hospitality establishments in Torquay are in a similar position. Covid cases are certainly higher here currently than in January. A worrying trend. ☹️

This morning, I’m at Brixham Museum again then I shall pack up to go to Whiddon Down for a long weekend. As the WiFi and 4G signals there are unreliable, I might not appear on the GM threads regularly.

Your planned day out sounds great, Scentia! I hope we all have a share of this glorious weather! ?☀️?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is promised to be a sunny day.
I am off shortly to do my Nanna duties.
Today I am taking them on a bus to a local beauty spot for a picnic, if the stream is warm enough we will have a short paddle.
Shower time now, I will catch up with your posts later.
Take care everyone.

Ps And no parking anywhere between 0600 and 2200. Not conducive for tourism and visitors!

Good morning from a sunny (at last!) E Kent. If we are to believe the old soothsayers, today being St. Swithin’s Day, we are in for 40 days of sun.
Mick, I love the aerial art by farmers, it is so inventive.
The Open starts properly today, play starts at 0615, so the buses, coaches and cars have been going since 0500, together with the catering and supply lorries. It is going to be fairly continuous until we’ll into the night. We have at least two players staying in the houses around us. The town is dead s no players are allowed out and the 32,000 public is either bused from P&R or go by train. If they go out, they’re not allowed back in. Not good for the local economy.
DS is taking me to the outlet in Ashford this morning. It’ll be nice to do something different.
Stay safe and have a good day all. Hope marydoll, EV, sheepandcattle, and other missing posters are OK. ???☀️????

Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking like the start of a hot warm summers day here in Brackley this morning.
Today , will see the usual bus trip to Bicester for my coffee stop ,and a small shop , before returning home to watch the final stage in the Pyrenees on the Tour De France .
Although its a cycle race the organisers, try to cover the regions they visit from helicopter shots of local places of interest , so to promote the country tourism wise , plus race has seen an increase of art created by farmers and locals also visible from the air, unsure whether there is a competition for those displays , they do similar in UK with tours of Britain, and Yorkshire .
Take Care,
Mick
