Good morning early birds and all who follow. I've my family in residence (at last!). Can't wait for GC to wake up. We had a crazy and unusually late night so it may be a while yet. Looks promising of another day of wall to wall sunshine here. Yippee! Hope you all have at least one lovely highlight in your day no matter how small.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Your breakfast bap sounds very inviting, Mick! The sun is well and truly up in South Yorkshire and it’s going to be another hot one. I have been awake since three, got up at half past four, so will probably be asleep by lunchtime, but we are going to DD’s to eat this afternoon, and I have promised GS I would make a strawberry flan for dessert, so I had better try and stay awake long enough to do that! It will catch up with me eventually though. Have a good day, one and all.

Good morning Mick and all to follow. Beautiful sunshine out there already.
Marydoll good to see you posting yesterday. I hope you are feeling a little better and stronger each day.
Will take the dog for a walk soon before it gets too warm. Got home yesterday evening at 930 to an empty house, DH was walking the dog at the local park in the cool of the evening, when he got home he said a couple were trying to get someone to come and unlock the gates as their car was locked in the car park.
Very excited for today’s big family get together. We are meeting at a park and if all make it there will be 26 of us, 4 generations from age 92 to 10 months. We are a close family and have enjoyed many weekend breaks together over the years. I usually book a large house, last one was for my 60th nearly 2 years ago. Since then 3 additions to the family, 2 babies and a fiancee. I am sure much merriment will be had.
Wishing all a lovely weekend in the ?

Good morning from a hot and humid south Cornwall.

A wonderful beach visit last evening. (Usual picture of flying grandson, this time with his uncle, my youngest son. That's me in the granny chair in the middle. ?) A tasty barbecue peppered with sand, then rock pooling and paddling. As we left to go home at around 8pm a large murmur arose as the beach was filling with young people and I remembered how I had gathered like that with friends when I was 17. So lovely for them.

But then I got home and watched videos of the flooding in Europe and my joy was tempered by the sight of those poor people suffering. All those homes destroyed. Devastating and sad.

The best of days where possible to you all.

Good morning, everyone from a very warm Whiddon Down, Devon!

For once, the F1 GP Practice and Qualifying sessions were on regular TV yesterday. Thank you, C4! Today there is a new feature as they are running sprint races between pairs of drivers.

I hope to shop in Okehampton Lidl before it becomes too hot! Last night I walked around the site and this was the view of the sunset when I arrived home.

Welcome back to Marydoll and I hope everyone is well and not finding the heat too debilitating. ?☀️?

Good Morning Everyone,

With the British GP just up the rode this weekend at Silverstone , I will do my usual trip to Bicester have a breakfast bap plus coffee ,and then return home and watch the penultimate stage of the Tour de France which is a time trial in the Bordeaux region .
