Just seen Harry has written a tell it all book, well with a ghost writer anyway. What on earth is left to say? From what I understand it’s his life from his viewpoint along with lessons for us all. I’m beginning to feel sorry for the rest of the RF. where is it going to end.

Sarah Vine has just said:
"...... you don’t get a four-book deal with an advance approaching £30 million if the person signing the cheque doesn’t know for sure there’s some seriously juicy stuff on offer."

Sparklefizz Ditto, I agree with your comment.

I'm pleased to read that his ex army colleagues will be watching what he writes in his books ......

You think they're going to take him out for spilling the beans?

I think putting the word "man" in inverted commas is particularly childish and unnecessary. Says more about the user's attitudes than the subject of the insult.

“ I'm sorry to say “. Really ?

Sparklefizz Sun 25-Jul-21 08:17:10

I'm sorry to say that the "man" Harry says he has become seems to be a vengeful, jealous, entitled person who maybe has always been this way, but covered it up with his jack-the-lad persona.

He's not compassionate, he's not even "woke".

Ellianne used the correct descriptor in my opinion, distasteful. The whole tacky business is distasteful.

They are like the Kardashians, their lives are their main source of income, and they want a comparable lifestyle to the Kardashians and that can only be sustained by a constant flow of 'tell all' stories that grab the headlines.

Whether, like the Kardashians, they will know the optimum moment to step back, I am less convinced. I think they will become like so many 15 minute celebrities, desperately selling themselves in tawdrier and tawdrier venues for less and less money and ending up in debt and bankruptcy - except, at that point, The Family will step in, sort them out, but at a price, banishment to a grace and favour residence in the Scottish highlands or deep in the Pennines, with occasional trips further afield.

Blinko

Written a book, has he? Heaven help us!

Well he’s not exactly written it himself.

“ This couple would sell their souls .”. We know that do we ?

Anniebach Sat 24-Jul-21 09:25:21

MOnica thank you, my knowledge of US magazines is nil.

This couple would sell their souls .

M0nica Sat 24-Jul-21 09:16:57

Anniebach the press only love Harry as long as the public do and I think that the public are loosing interest fast.

But remember the people who will buy these books and generate the money this couple need to finance their lavish lifestyle are in the USA, not the UK. The US pubic has an insatiable appetite for royalty, and the more bizarre the better.

Do not forget that the US has magazines that make our gossip magazines like Hello and OK look like children's bedside reading. Currently the H&M are on the front page every week. and I do not mean the shop

The duke, 36, said in a statement he would write the memoir "not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become".

A man?

Definitely not a man........more a puppet!

for those who seem to think it's only the DM who write about harry!

eazybee Sat 24-Jul-21 08:50:28

I hoped that the report of four books to come from Harry was merely the Daily Mail making mischief, but bearing in mind Harry and Meghan's penchant for suing I imagine the Mail will be careful with allegations it makes. Plus the fact that the couple's airy disregard for truth makes it difficult to believe anything they say.

Anniebach Sat 24-Jul-21 08:46:16

The press love Harry , and Harry needs the press.

Sparklefizz Sat 24-Jul-21 08:33:57

Depends who you ask. I guess some older people prefer allegations of sexual impropriety to being married to an American.

It's not "being married to an American" that's been the problem, though.

Alegrias1 Sat 24-Jul-21 08:10:49

not Andrew, obviously, although the latest polls have shown that Harry is even less popular than Andrew .... he must be at rock bottom!

However, a spokesperson for the Duke told The Independent that contrary to “false media reports”, the only memoir in the works is the previously announced volume that’s set to be published by Penguin Random House in late 2022.

Don't believe everything you read in the papers ladies ? Especially the ones who really hate Harry

Sparklefizz Sat 24-Jul-21 07:52:08

It's shocking and vicious and horrible to announce that so that Queen has it hanging over her head. If he has things he doesn't want her to read and hates her that much, why name his daughter Lilibet - why want a Christening at Windsor? Well, we know why, don't we? It's to promote his brand.

Harry used to be my favourite a few years ago but every time I think he could sink no lower in my estimation, he somehow manages it. An opinion poll last month showed he was lower in popularity than even Prince Andrew .... he is at rock bottom!

I hope he never comes back to the UK, even for a visit, as the hypocrisy would be unbearable. I hope this latest fiasco is enough to get his titles removed.

Calendargirl Sat 24-Jul-21 07:33:43

Hopefully, if the Queen lives as long as her mother, i.e. another six years or so, the interest in H&M will have resolved itself, one way or another, and the books will never be published.

seacliff Sat 24-Jul-21 07:30:47

That is very cruel to let it be announced now. The Queen doesn't deserve this.

FannyCornforth Sat 24-Jul-21 07:28:38

Ellianne

I was prepared to have a laugh about the title of Harry's new book earlier, but what I have just read about waiting until after the Queen's death to publish the second one is both distasteful and out of order.

It’s actually going to run to four volumes

Aveline Sat 24-Jul-21 07:21:49

I didn't think I could think even less of Harry but this news about him having a book to be published after the Queen's death has shocked me. What a quite dreadful thing to promise.
Remove his passport. Don't let him back in the country.

Chestnut Fri 23-Jul-21 23:27:15

Exactly, Ellianne. Every new piece of news about Harry gets progressively worse, always more distasteful and more out of order. He is a walking disaster zone.
