What/Whose poster did you have on your bedroom wall when you were a teenager

Rolling Stones, much to my mothers disgust ?

Elvis Presley. My father looked after the garrison cinema, he used to sometimes bring home the posters, at one point we even had an Elvis Presley poster, Blue Hawaii, pasted up in the bathroom. Those were the days.

David Bowie and Mick Ronson. Bowie was exciting and amazing but I was more in awe of him than lusting after him. Mick was the answer to every maidens prayer! God rest both their souls. May they be making music together in the stars.

Cat Stevens in a velvet jacket - so handsome! Also the iconic poster of Che Guevara - not because of his political leamings, but because he looked quite fanciable ?

David Cassidy, David Essex, Marc Bolan, Donny Osmond and the ones from the Jacky and NME. And arty ones such as Aubrey Beardsley.

Yes my David Cassidy poster was from the Jackie magazine but my Biba poster I had to queue up and buy from the boutique Chelsea Girl

Also Billy Fury. My dad put money on his horse for me, probably The Derby, backed each way. It came in third and I won a couple of quid which was a fortune to me then.

Oh Peter Noon he was my first crush at about 8!

Margot Fonteyn, but that was when I was about ten or eleven, so not a teenager really. I don’t think I had any posters in my teens.

I wasn’t allowed posters on my wall, I had a twee framed of birds on a tree
I hated it.
If it had been allowed… David Bowie, David Essex and Twiggy.

My sister (8 years older than me) was supposed to put some money on his horse for me but she didn't as she didn't want me to lose any money.

As you say it would only have been a few pounds but worth so much to a very young me. I never forgave her!
