Inspired by another thread love songs it got me to thinking about posters I had on my bedroom wall when I was a teenager. I had David Cassidy and the Biba poster

I wasn't allowed; it would damage the wallpaper.

Unfortunately I wasn’t allowed to put up anything on my bedroom walls. (And I was an only child)

I had David Cassidy too - the one from Jackie that came in several parts so you had to make sure it was properly aligned!!
Well I had several poster/ pictures of him - he was such a beautiful young man!
I also had a couple of the Osmonds and a David Essex one too after I met him at Godspell.
They are all in a scrapbook now

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 25-Jul-21 11:22:52

They hadn't invented posters when I was in my teens!! Would probably have been Tommy Steele or Elvis Presley if I could have afforded one!

cornishpatsy Sun 25-Jul-21 12:09:48

Marc Bolan, David Essex.

I wasn`t allowed posters, but I had a large framed photo of Huw Thomas, the ITN newscaster, I had quite a thing for him over several years.

Not keen on singers but had James Drury (TV programme The Virginian) and Pete Duel (TV programme Alias Smith and Jones)

Oh yes I loved Pete Duel. When he died I put a black ribbon next to his pictures… ?
Also David Cassidy and David Essex ❤️

Aveline Sun 25-Jul-21 17:42:19

Ooh yes James Drury!

Geek that I was! A poster of Beethoven and one of a map of London 1580 (I am not a Londoner but I am keen on the Tudor period? ?

dolphindaisy Sun 25-Jul-21 19:39:02

As a young teenager is was Brian Hyland, Fabian and Kookie - then years later, on the day I got married, I gave my precious Steve McQueen poster to my bridesmaid.

Grandmadinosaur Sun 25-Jul-21 20:21:54

Donny Osmond and David Essex adorned my walls.

M0nica Sun 25-Jul-21 20:32:41

None at all, Pop music was something I listened to, but I was indifferent to the performers.

TillyTrotter Sun 25-Jul-21 21:04:27

David Cassidy was my heartthrob - and I listened to Radio Caroline on a transistor radio. Heady times … ?

Hellogirl1 Sun 25-Jul-21 21:05:33

Gracesnan, Reggie Bosanquet was alright, but not a patch on Huw Thomas! I had it all planned out that when I was 20 I was going to go to London, meet him and marry him, but then when I was 19 he married someone else, I was heartbroken.
Here`s the gorgeous man!
