Good Morning Everyone,
Its a cloudy start here in brackley this morning.
Plans for the day , I am going to Bicester via Buckingham both ways today ,and will have an all day breakfast in Buckingham, and also browse flea market
Yesterdays planned Fish & Chips did not happen ,arrived at Sainsburys Cafe ,and not working to full menu , so decided to come home and get a take away .
I have also noticed in Sainsburys as well , empty shelves especially biscuits are appearing , so with covid stock is not being replenished as fast as normal .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, everyone, from a dreary Torbay. Unfortunately, a spell of wet weather is forecast to coincide with me spending a week or so at my holiday home to welcome visitors!

Yes, Mick, there are spaces on supermarket shelves here, too, attributed to a general shortage of delivery drivers, caused by some isolating but also to drivers returning to home countries due to Brexit.

I had a super day yesterday with my DS and DGS3. After a delicious lunch in The Buccaneer Inn, we rode the funicular railway down to Oddicombe Beach, where a few brave folk were swimming or canoeing. (see photos) We were well wrapped up against the wind although it was more sheltered in the lee of the cliffs.

Today, I shall complete an early Lidl shop before setting off for Dartmoor View, so I might be offline for a few days. Happy weekend to all, whatever you have planned. ???

Good morning Michael from an overcast NE again.
My sister will visit this afternoon and bring me a freshly baked savoury flan and an apple pie.
DH spent the day in bed yesterday so I washed piles of towels and got them all dry while I had the kitchen to myself.
DD not visiting today, she is going to see her brother and his family, all working from home during the week but she starts early as she is working on Brussels time.
Weather forecast is poor today so housework will get done.

Morning all. Very early for me. Been awake since 5am for unknown reasons.
Nice pics Ash Shame about the weather. Dreary here in Cheshire too.
Family driving home from the Highlands today. Will need to try to curb new habit of talking to myself ! Have been doing it a lot this week?
Hope a good weekend ahead for all and that those of you with big worries get some respite. Thinking of Harrigran and her DH in particular. Hopefully sickness should have eased by now.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it looks like we have a wet day in store.
Off to do the park run soon, then I have a physio appointment for my shoulder this lunchtime.
The poor guinea pigs will have to wait for a cllean house until this afternoon now.
DGS will be sleeping over tonight as DD and DSiL are off to London on Sunday to take their new baby to see her new cousin and think it may be a bit too much for the 2 year old.
Have the best day you can folks❤️
Thinking of our absentees and hope they are all well.❤️

Good morning everyone from our little holiday cottage just outside St Andrews. It’s quite grey this morning and some rain forecast but it’s not going to dampen our spirits. We had a lovely drive down here yesterday, we stopped off on the way at NT property, Falkland Palace and Gardens which was very interesting with an excellent tour guide who brought it all to life. After we’d settled in to the cottage we went out in the evening and enjoyed fish and chips sat on the harbour front at Pittenweem.
Today we’re going to have a look around St Andrews Castle and a walk around the town.
Sending ❤️ harrigran
Hoping everyone finds something to enjoy today, however small and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Good morning from a dull Oxfordshire, hope the rain holds off as we are erecting the potting shed today, then the plan is that I will paint it inside and out during the week. Inside will be fine, but will probably have to dodge the rain for the outside.
Then I’ll have to sort and clear the old shed ready for it to be plastered and painted, at least the outside is finished on that one. Then a swan will emerge from what has been an ugly duckling for over 50 years, hopefully!
Best wishes for a better day for some and a good day for others.

Good morning all from an overcast S Hants. Hope MrH feels a wee bit better today Harrigran.
Imogen’s surfing lesson rescheduled to tomorrow, too dangerous yesterday, I see your on the opposite ‘side’ Ash, enjoy your break.
We have an odd lunch ‘do’ to attend today, difficult to explain, but it’s only 10 minutes away. Rain forecast later, so it’ll be a newspaper day.we watched the cricket last night, so exciting I’ve booked tickets for the 11th.
Have a lovely Saturday all xx
Pic of Fin and Imogen, the sun appeared late in the day.

Morning Mick and all

Blue sky with lots of fluffy white clouds, not sure of the weather forecast. Washing, pottering and local butchers/farm shop today.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning from a dreary Black country. These last few days of rain have certainly left me feeling down. But will cheer up have friends coming today and the family for the day tomorrow.

Ash lovely photos once again and enjoy your time away.
Healing thoughts to those that need them and may you all find some ?.

Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton, at least it is not raining. We had really heavy thundery showers again yesterday. I thank my lucky stars we had our holiday last week; this week would have been miserable.

Looks like it will be a day of watching the Olympics, the newspaper and puzzles, and reading for me. I was awake in the middle of the night and managed to catch the mixed swimming relay on the radio, and have just watched it on tv, a very exciting race.

Trying to keep away from the snack cupboard, as I am determined to lose some of this 'pandemic ' weight! Am kept occupied by noting everything down on the NHS weightloss app.

Have a good day everyone, and take care.

Good Morning everyone from a duellist Severnside.

I think I’ll have a look at my toilet problem today and see if I can fix it. I find it hard to ask for help so if I can manage to do something and it’s safe enough I do it myself.

It’s nice to see beach and sea photos. Have a good day all ?

cornergran Sat 31-Jul-21 08:06:04

Morning Mick, morning All. A mixed sky over our corner of Somerset, undecided weather. The wind has dropped, hooray.

A truly enjoyable family day yesterday with much food consumption. Our mini typhoon loved the very windy beach, very excited to be blown along on his scooter when we turned back to the cars. I’m always sad when they leave, not sure when we’ll see them again as they don’t plan far ahead.

We’re venturing out on the bus today, destination as yet uncertain, could well involve lunch wherever we are.

Like the sound of the flan and pie harrigran, hope Mr H is more comfortable today. Wish I had your willpower bluesapphire, are you seeing positive results? Safe trip ashcombe and all travellers.

Take care everyone, hope Saturday is kind to us all.

Greyduster Sat 31-Jul-21 08:09:20

Good morning Michael and all GNs from the Northumberland coast where it is wet, cold and blowing a hoolie! The weather coming up yesterday was foul but it was dry and calm when we got here. Had a nice dinner out and a walk on the beach but everyone was tired. Nothing much planned for today but I hope we’ll get out at some point.
Have a good day folks.

Gelisajams Sat 31-Jul-21 08:09:58

Good morning from Shetland where it’s still cloudy and forecast to get even colder!
Our electric meter here has run out of money. It takes the old style pound coins so we will have to get some more off our friends. We are just reluctant to disturb them too early so it’s no cup of tea for us for a while.
Yesterday’s walk was one we haven’t done for a few years and we found it hard going as the the original path had disappeared down the cliffs and we we were forced inland with fences and gates to climb over.
Before we went back to our little croft we had a quick walk along Shetlands famous tombola at St Ninians.
Take care and stay safe everyone. ?

Good morning Mick, morning all from dry and bright South Lanarkshire.

Good photos Ash and Jax, we’ve got an Imogen too.

Another busy day in the charity shop yesterday, my feet were aching by five o’clock, however it’s now closed for a fortnight due to the manager’s annual leave. A few of our regular customers were quite upset when I told them, I’m sure they enjoy the chat, I know I do.

Nothing much planned for today except that I want to give the spare room a thorough going over. My sister will be visiting for a week so I’ll be changing the bed and making sure there are no fingerprints from DGD’s sleepover on the wardrobe mirrors.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Good morning all from a very damp start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. The weather won’t make much difference to me I’ve not planned any outings today I had such fun yesterday watching a version of Tarzan with my carer on Netflix giving himself freedom to knock in a few balls

I watched Bridget Jones baby for the first time where I laughed until the tears were streaming down my face it was so funny

Brook2704 I see you’re in st Andrews today please during your walk around look into the Criterion where you’ll get a delicious pub lunch doggies are most welcome too. smile

Have a good weekend everyone.

Alizarin Sat 31-Jul-21 08:15:23

Good morning from a cool, breezy south Cornwall. Invigorating. To the nearby market first thing to browse the book stall, then to our allotment coffee morning to devour cake. After that I must pull up some weeds on my overgrown patch. Have the best day you can.

Pittcity Sat 31-Jul-21 08:30:20

Good morning from a cool, cloudy Colchester. A changeable day weatherwise.
Food shopping is all that's on the agenda.
I'll try to get DH to think that my ideas about what to do next in the way of house decorating are his ideas. Is Miss *Marydoll's class open at weekends?

Love to all?

Gingster Sat 31-Jul-21 08:49:11

Good morning all and it’s looking a little less wild here on the Suffolk coast. Yesterday the sea was boiling but exciting to see and have an invigorating walk along the beach.

We cleared up after the family had left and amazingly they had taken all their belongings . A first!

Bluesaphire - isn’t it hard not to snack, especially in the evenings. I need to lose weight to get into a dress for a wedding blessing on the 3rd September. The trouble is having visitors when we eat more and things we shouldn’t.
Having said that, Dh has just gone for the papers and he will bring it a freshly baked baguette which I will have with butter and marmalade . No hope for me ! ?

Wishing you all a pleasant day

ginny Sat 31-Jul-21 08:54:01

Good morning all.
It is looking reasonably bright so although we are going home today, we have decided not to rush. Hoping to go into Aldeburgh for a while on the beach . We will find somewhere for lunch and maybe have time for DGS to sail a boat on the little pool on the front.
Hope Saturday is a good day for you all with a smile along the way.

Alygran Sat 31-Jul-21 08:56:25

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s cloudy so far after lots of rain yesterday. It’s been a busy week.
I went down to Derbyshire stay with DD2 last weekend and brought DGS back here on Tuesday. He is now 12 so entertaining him means playing tennis or football in the park. He is also really interested in the Olympics so there’s been quite a bit of tv time too.
His mum, DD1 is driving up today to collect him. DD2 is coming too and we are off to the village pub for lunch before they head home.
This afternoon I must get some housework done and make up a bed for a friend coming tomorrow. We have planned to do some walking in the dales over the next few days.
Sorry to hear your DH is having horrible chemo side effects Harri. Hope they are settling now.
Wishing you all a good Saturday. ☀️☀️

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Another good morning from S Lanarkshire, dry but dull here, you have the best of it today baubles

Have been fully booted and spurred since 7.30, ready for a possible 8 o’clock visit from a BT engineer who will install a new router so I can have reliable WiFi in my garden room. No sign yet so I’ll just keep my fingers crossed he comes soon as I am hoping to meet friends for lunch and I am responsible for picking it up from the local deli!

One of my daughters and her family are on holiday, camping in Dorset just now, I am not sure of the exact geography of where they are but I do hope they have not been caught in the worst of the weather.

Wishing everyone a good peaceful weekend??

Good morning all from a slightly sunny SW Herts. Super photos today, I love a funicular Ash. We used to have holidays in Lynton, and my brother was so taken with the water based funicular that he went home and made a perfect working model. Needless to say he spent all his working life in London Transport!

Good to hear you sound a bit better Harri

Good luck with the diets, I am now trying to lose a bit, had two really good days, then friends round last night. I made them a date and apple traybake with a streusel topping and had to make sure it was edible. Then there was the glass of wine to be sociable, and after that my will power went and I started on the nibbles! Today is another day, but DH likes bacon in a freshly baked baguette for lunch on Saturdays...

Enjoy the holidays and keep the pictures coming!
