Morning Mick, morning All. It’s very wet and blowing a gale in our corner of Somerset. Tired of it now.

Pleased your day went well mick. Wine and flamingoes seems a good combination for sure. Perhaps to celebrate soop’s birthday today.

Other than retrieving a click and collect item I think I’ll be hibernating. Full of aches and pains and generally gloomy. There is roast beef later to bring a smile to Mr C with carrots, potatoes and runner beans from our containers, there will be pleasure for me in that.

Take care everyone. Hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Good morning Mick and all Morningsters.
Grey start to the day. Not a good night’s sleep hence the early post. Think it will be a duvet day for me. Trying not to disturb MrM as I get an early morning cup of Earl Grey and take it back to bed.

??? I'll drop by later to read everyone’s news.

Surely the best combination, Ash! Wine and flamingos…?

Good morning, all, from a dreary Torbay.

Yesterday, as I set off to travel home, I could see that the A30 was completely gridlocked in both directions so I double backed to travel home via Moretonhampstead, Bovey Tracy and Newton Abbot. This involves several single lane stretches, which can be challenging, but preferable to sitting in a queue. I was expect my neighbours will think I’m taking in washing as I returned with four bags of linen and towels!

It was good to see you back yesterday, Dwmxwg and I like your idea of this group of contributors being family. The support and care shown certainly resembles the best kind of family love. NanKate, I hope the tests are negative and that Marydoll was able to spend time with her beloved Dollie.

Grandmafrench: on one occasion after a long day's travelling from Torbay to DH's home in la Sarthe, it was after dark when we encountered a wild boar crossing the road. I was glad that olddudders was driving as it was his swift reaction which prevented us from hitting the creature!

A lovely start to 2022 for you, Lins1066, with the prospect of your first grandchild! Hope all will go well. ??

Hartigran: what about trying your DH on BuildUp, which I found helpful when convalescing? It comes in a range of sweet and savoury flavours. I hope the fires were successfully extinguished, Dustyangel.

The photo is of the best possible combination: wine and a flamingo! Have a blessed Sunday, good people! ??✝️

Good morning from a bright E Kent. Apart from a few very hot days in late June, it has been surprisingly cool here, barely reaching 20C. Lots of wind…
I bought fabric which I hand rinsed (no machine), dried on line and started a new patchwork yesterday. That particular pattern is very quick to make, which is gratifying.
Virtual church again - I’m not going back until there are no restrictions and people are less hostile. Besides we have the pleasure of seeing DD!
DH seems as right as rain now, back to normal, but needs congratulating every time he goes up with his new dumb phone. Men!!! ?
I hope today brings joy to our GraMmingos, esp. Marydoll with her visit to Dollie. May you catch a flamingo ? from a passing flamboyance ????

Good Morning Everyone,
Its a grey and wet start here in brackley , which see me having a quiet day in .
Yesterday coach trip to Windsor was OK only 12 in the mini coach altogether,
The day went well , not as busy as usual ,as things start to pick up again ,we had 5 hours there, so had plenty of walking around the town.
Take Care,
Mick
