Good morning Mick and all, it's only 8°C, rather cool here.

Thank you all for your prayers yesterday, wee baby A's surgery was successful yesterday afternoon. There were a lot tears she'd in this cul de sac last night. His mum previously had two ectopic pregnancies and thought she would never have another baby. ?

My cup of joy is overflowing, we are looking after Dollie today, for the first time in eighteen months, DS1 messaged out of the blue yesterday and asked if we could look after her this morning. Despite a modicum of thawing on his part, we never anticipated this. Mr MDoll is beside himself with excitement. Apparently Dollie has already written a lists of our duties! ?

In case you didn't see them yesterday, Alizerin, here are some photos of the fruit twigs, not a disappointment at all. I hope you can make them out, everything has been crammed at the bottom of the garden, until the new decking is completed. We are still missing some glass, I fear it will never be completed.

Wishing everyone a pleasant day and thinking of all those with pain and worry.

Kate, gird those loins!

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where the sky is looking much brighter.

We had a lovely afternoon yesterday having a birthday tea in DD’s garden. It was actually hot and sunny after the morning downpour.

Today will be spent pottering, my sister and I will walk down to the park I think, and have a wander around the shops.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day whatever it brings. ???

Ashcombe that would be lovely for you if he can get here. Fingers crossed for you.

Good morning all. Grey skies here in Polmont and it's been much cooler in the night as I have condensation on the windows. 11° at the moment. NanKate it sounds like you are having a lovely family time. Cornergran ? and if they don't help, ?. Grandmattie good news about the washing machine man .
Yesterday was an in and out day, trying to avoid very heavy showers. We managed to make the swings between downpours and there was lots of arranging cars done. The boy wonder likes to put his transport in straight lines on the garden table. When I took him home, dd gave me a piece of pecan pie she had made. It was lovely.
Today will be the visit to the fish man then possibly the park if the weather holds. In a couple of weeks he will go to the playgroup for two hours in the morning so I'll have an empty as Marydoll would say! Second coffee awaits. Have a good day all.

Good morning to you all on a beautiful sunny one in Torbay.

My first thought today was for your friend's premature baby, Marydoll. I’m glad that the surgery was performed and there was a successful outcome. One feels so helpless in these situations.

I bet you all enjoyed the steam train ride, monk08! As a child, I remember being intrigued by the name Devil's Bridge, probably because one didn’t mention the word devil at home! My eldest grandchild was born in 2008, too, Sar53, but in Australia; he started high school last January. What happy news for your family, Grandmadinosaur, with the forthcoming birth of a DGD!

I was sorry the news was of a positive test result, Scentia for your DSiL, with the implications for you all. Such a pity he is unwell after your lovely time away together and I hope he recovers well. It’s going to be a case of just sitting out the quarantine period but I know what you mean about wanting to fix things. I hope your DH continues to show more of an appetite for the tempting dishes you provide, harrigran.

I hope the rat problem is soon sorted out, Georgesgran; horrid creatures! What an eventful week you had, madeleine so I’m sure a more restful one is welcome! A busy time for you, NanKate! Lovely! Welcome back, Susan56!

Many of you have kindly enquired about DH, olddudders, visiting and I had hoped to announce an imminent arrival. He’d fully intended to travel over this Friday but he has a recurrence of a back problem, originally caused a few years ago by trying to push a recalcitrant donkey back into its paddock! We sometimes think that the fates are laughing at us. He hopes to travel on the following Friday (20th) so will have to tie in the required blood test with the booking along with one here on Day 2, which I’m hoping to arrange when I have confirmation of his travel plans.

I hope you find some sunshine in your lives today. ☀️⛅️? My heart is certainly lighter…. ?

Morning Mick and All.

Grey turning to sunshine here in South Bucks.

DS and 2 DGSs arrived last night for 5 days. Usual noise, chaos and fun. 10 year old off to Footie training this morning, 8 year old elected to stay with us and get DH to take him to the toy shop with the holiday money we gave him. No doubt he will buy some Lego.

Must get the breakie started. It’s all go.

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset looks brighter this morning, grey and dismal yesterday.

Car collected its back to the usual ‘stuff’, mostly dealing with life’s irritations. Not sure how that will go as I’m not in top form, fairly irritable and no doubt irritating.

It sounds as if your husbands birthday was just right for him grandMattie, good news about your sofas too.

Somehow I don’t manage to get back to catch up with everyone’s news, my apologies.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all, take care everyone.

Good morning from a bright E Kent. We are promised wall-to-wall sunshine today! Makes a nice change from those grey skies (no rain, we are the Sahara of the British isles!)
Washing machine man is coming today, between 0700 and 1800! At least, the machine should work again"
DH had a lovely day, all three offspring Skyped him as did the girls who are staying with their other grandparents, bless them!
Heard that our new sofas will be arriving next week, so we must contact the charity shop for collection of our old ones - they are tired not worn out.
Tai chi this morning (where is Taichinan ?) and possibly supermarket if we have a time for the mechanic.
Have the best day possible under the circs, with lots of ????, ???as well
