well Hyaluronic acid is advertised well on tv so it is a try it and see case I think.

google reviews for it, that's what I did.

travelsafar, I'd be cautious, if I were you. Hyaluronic acid is used in fillers - and is effective when placed below the skin surface.

However, it cannot penetrate the skin from the surface, as it's molecules are too large. It acts as a humectant (many things do) - so attracts moisture.

Therefore, in a cool, temperate or humid environment, it'll moisturise the skin. In a hot, dry situation, though, it'll draw moisture out of the skin!

I use a moisturiser containing hyaluronic acid (not expensive) but I’m quite pleased with the moisturising aspect. Obviously can’t do miracles but it leaves a pleasant feeling on my face. Since trying it I’ve never used anything else, I also use the make up remover and body lotion in the same make.

I was completely put off the very idea of hyaluronic acid when I heard that it was the same substance found in slugs. Not that they collect slugs to harvest it, but chemically it's the same! Anyway, I'm now to old to care.

Our doctor in France prescribed it to help healing in a lower leg wound. I've still got some left in the tube. Ialuset cream.
And I'm sure I read that hyaluronic acid is the basic content of expensive face creams.
And when husband had a very painful knee he was referred to the rheumatologist for a hyal==== injection which worked!
Evidently it helps to re-create the cartilage which has been worn away with wear and tear.
