Beautiful photo Sar.
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is doing it’s darnedest in South Yorkshire. We had a trip to the bank yesterday only to find it is closed yet again without any notice and not open until Monday (online banking here we come), so we had a good walk around the park and then went off to choose a carpet for our hall stair and landing.
Ash I’m so sorry to hear that Oldd is in hospital so far away; my heart goes out to you both. Hope they get him back on track soon. Hang in there?.
Corner that’s hard luck. Good that it’s not for long and you feel okay.
Not sure what will be going on here today. Suck it and see, I think. Have a good day, folks.
Good morning.
So sorry to hear that your DH is in pain and on morphine Ashcombe Hope some investigations done quickly. Very best wishes.
Early start as delivering DGS to football club this morning. He is coming here soon for breakfast ("Have you got croissants Grandma?" ) so need to get a move on. Very few posts so far. Will come back later.
Good morning from a cloudy Essex by the sea.
I had a lovely day with all my girls yesterday . We haven't all been together since February 2020 so was good to see all my granddaughters having a good time.
Not much on the cards today. DH will be working on his boat, I have washing and ironing to do plus a trip to the post office.
Enjoy your Friday whatever you my get up to.
I'm attaching a picture of the five girls in their matching onesies xx
Good morning from a bright, breezy south Cornwall. A lovely hardworking day at the allotment yesterday, laying bricks and attacking brambles and sawing rogue branches. Expected to be horribly stiff but am not at all, phew. My evening primrose plants have self-seeded; ground level now but they will grow to six feet high.
Ash, you sound so patient and loving and I feel for both of you.
11-year-old-grandson-sitting this evening. We'll make buns and watch telly and chat. He's a sweetie. The photo is my patio in the early evening.
Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning from a dull but still warm Black Country. It was so warm last night we had a BBQ and stayed in the garden until 11.00pm!
What a worry for you Ashcombe hopefully the Hospital stay will get to the root of the problem, and his pain will be managed and gradually lessen. Fingers crossed
Our Karndean flooring in the living room is halfway there, hopefully he will finish today. Then the new sofa and chair will be delivered next Thursday, and new curtains are being made. I found a rug I really liked on Wayfair, but it is out of stock until November!!
My friend has just come out of isolation corner as her DIL and son were positive, and she does childminding for them. They have both been double jabbed, so not very ill, but the DIL has lost sense of taste and smell!
No real plans today, but we are going out for Fish & Chips tonight as a local pub are doing two for the price on one.
Wishing you all a good day. With special thoughts of our missing posters, especially Urmston hope she is ok, as she used to post regularly on here and I miss her posts.
Morning all from a cloudy North Leicestershire.
Thank you for your good wishes for my brother. He is not ill but really fed up of being isolated in a private room while trying to keep his exercises up.
Yesterday the flooring company rang and asked to come and fit the new flooring on the glass corridor/verriere so panic furniture moving this morning.
Best wishes to everyone.
Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s wet and dull.
Oh blimey Ash! Just when the light was beginning to show and you could be together.
I’m off to do my shopping and hopefully pick up my prescription first thing. I’m then going to see my sister in law and this afternoon another trip out.
While watching tv last night I found myself laughing out loud at such a lot which was good to hear.
Have a good day everyone ?
Good morning from a cloudy but warm E Kent. I had a much better night - mostly because DH didn’t spend it tossing about and sighing…
My poor Ash, how dreadful for you both. At least, Oldd is being cared for and treated. My prayers for you both.
At MattieTowers, everything seems to be falling into place. The washing machine is fixed, as is the dishwasher; the sofa situation has been sorted - old ones collected one day and new ones delivered the following…
I rarely go out, but I’m out for two lunches and one coffee in the next week!
I’m taking my old friend out again this afternoon. I suggested I came for her at 1500, I was very firmly Tod that it was “far too late”! There goes my afternoon nap.
Hope everyone has an acceptable day today - it is too much to ask that everyone has a brilliant day - and many flamingos are caught… ???❤️??
Morning Mick, morning All from a bright, breezy corner of Somerset. It feels as if Autumn is here this morning.
Goodness, Ash, you must be more than worried. It’s incredibly hard not to be with someone we love when they are unwell. Love to you both and a hope for some better news over the weekend.
It’s been a funny old week here. Car-gate has finally been resolved to our satisfaction, big grins on our faces yesterday then along came the dreaded ‘ping’. Ironically just until Monday when the rules change anyway. I feel fine, not a symptom, lateral flow negative, have sent off a pcr to be sure. Of course it’s left me concerned in case I have been carrying and sharing virus. It has also meant a long awaited visit from my cousin planned for today has been cancelled. Minor in the scheme of things I know but to be honest I’m thoroughly fed up!
A restricted day and weekend ahead for us, I plan to crack on and make use of the time by sorting the little jobs that are rarely sorted.
Take care everyone, look after yourselves, hope Friday is gentle with us all.
Good morning, one and all from an overcast Torbay.
Not much brighter indoors as I awoke to a text from olddudders to say he is back in hospital, on IV morphine. We both really appreciated the kind, supportive comments from you all yesterday and I know you will be thinking of us.
My fervent hope is that he is kept in hospital whilst being fully investigated. I know you probably wonder why I’m not rushing to book my ferry across but I can’t for the moment due to commitments and appointments here which we’ve agreed I shouldn’t cancel.
I’ll keep you posted on developments and wish you all a good weekend, with particular thoughts of those with worries of their own. ?
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but with grey cloud here in brackley this morning.
Yesterday I received confirmation of a trip by coach a week this Saturday to London ,although price wise it had fallen , numbers wise it does not look as though many will go.
Today for me , small early shop ,and then stay in today.
Take Care,
Mick
