So pleased for Grandmabatty ?
Despondent for the lovely Soop ?

TillyTrotter Wed 01-Sept-21 20:45:32

Soop you really do deserve better from the medics. Please complain.
And I wish you a happy hair doo.. tomorrow, and a great time with your family.
BladeAnnie you deserve pampering too, and who better to do it than Mr BA? I hope he surpassed his talents and gave you a very nice new hair colour.
Lots of well wishes to all kitcheners. ?

Great news Grandmabatty so pleased for you ?❤️?

SueDonim Wed 01-Sept-21 20:40:42

Grandmabatty, that really is the best news, hurrah! You’ll sleep well tonight. smile

Soop, that sounds a very poor show. You should register a complaint, otherwise they’ll think they can get away with it. Speaking of medical matters, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at a friend’s experience. She tried to book a smear test and was asked if a phone appointment would suffice! confused hmm

I didn’t realise until recently that you are Scotland-based, same as me! I’m NE Scotland, though.

Thank you all for the migraine sympathy. I woke this morning with NO migraine, hurrah! First time since Sunday.

Our weather forecast was completely wrong today and instead of cloud and cool temps we’ve had wall-to-wall sunshine and it’s been in the low 20’s! What a welcome surprise! Overall, we’ve had a pretty decent summer in this small corner.

Tomorrow I’m off to wrestle with my 3yo GD for two days while her 8mths pregnant mum is working. I’ll visit my own mother first, which, to judge from an earlier phone call, will involve a lot moaning and complaining by her. ?

Really not good enough soop, can you speak to either GP or consultant and hammer home quality of life, ‘despondency’ and everything else. I’m furious for you. Your frustration regarding the internet was one thing, this is mega more important.
I’ve had a very busy day today, won’t bore you.
Yia a Hammers fan, he looks well, pleased, lovely pictures. N&G glorious laughter and soop a wee chuckler. Today is Imogen’s 14th birthday, I remember so well, I was allowed in the labour room when she was a few minutes old. She is brave, funny, thoughtful and we love her.
Blossoming hoping you’re ‘getting there’ ?
Sleep tight all, bet you will Grandmabatty !

cornergran Wed 01-Sept-21 19:51:07

Just for once I’m lost for words. That’s beyond unreasonable soop, have a think who you can get to complain on your behalf. GP maybe? Enjoy being with your family, you deserve that time with them. Safe trip.

GrannyGravy13 Wed 01-Sept-21 19:50:31

soop I am cross and frustrated on your behalf!!!!!

Urmstongran Wed 01-Sept-21 19:34:45

‘Evening All’.

Another glorious day here in Malaga. We walked to the huge Carrefour (only 15 minutes stroll) and bought 2 chairs for the balcony. Himself carried them back (they were lightweight) and I carried the fat seat cushions. Teamwork.
?

What wonderful news Grandmabatty! Bet you’ve been on cloud 9 all day. Whereas for you dear soop you must be upset and confused in equal measures. I hope your appointment is sorted soon. x

Bellanonna Wed 01-Sept-21 19:11:21

soop, all the best for a speedy resolution to this longstanding problem ?

Nannytopsy Wed 01-Sept-21 18:40:51

Congratulations GrandmaBatty!
soop it really is unacceptable to receive incomplete letters.

Blossoming Wed 01-Sept-21 17:54:25

What a beautiful sunset Soop and what a gorgeous wee girl! I am raging on your behalf at the latest medical mishmash, where is the joined up thinking? You are asking, not unreasonably, for a decent quality of life. I’m sure those people wouldn’t want to just ‘put up with it’ as they seem to be expecting you to do .

BladeAnnie Wed 01-Sept-21 17:32:35

Aww soop you rant all you like ?

kittylester Wed 01-Sept-21 17:27:59

Great news grandmabatty. We are all really relieved as you must be too.

soop have a great get together. Would you like us to organise a visit by the grans for the doctors who keep messing you about.

My brother, about to start the 12th week of his hospital stay, has had his op postponed again. We do have a wonderful nhs but they occasionally get it wrong.

Grannmarie Wed 01-Sept-21 17:24:42

Snap, Grandmabatty!
My hair is not as thick as it used to be...

Yiayia4 Wed 01-Sept-21 17:16:42

I’m also cross for you Soop all they seem to do is offer telephone appointments useless.?

Doodle Wed 01-Sept-21 16:59:24

Wonderful news grandmabatty . Been thinking of you today and hoping to hear all is well. Relax tonight. ?
N&G lovely family photo.
Another gorgeous baby in the family soop .
soop you rant away. I am really cross on your behalf. What you are going through is very distressing and you should have better service from the NHS. I am so sorry you are in such discomfort and Hope somehow it doesn’t spoil your time with your family.

Grandmajean Wed 01-Sept-21 16:45:10

Beautiful baby Soop

Grandmabatty Wed 01-Sept-21 16:43:26

Oh Soop you have such a hard time. What flippin good will a physio do?
What a beautiful smiley baby and a lovely sunset. Granmarie I,too, used to iron my very long hair in the seventies. Now I have very little hair left!

Grannmarie Wed 01-Sept-21 16:36:26

Yes, Soop, really and truly!grin The things you do when you're young!
I would kneel on the floor, we'd put the ironing board at the lowest level, DH would iron my thick, wavy hair strand by strand. I was delighted when straighteners became readily available!.

Grannmarie Wed 01-Sept-21 16:30:04

Aww, Soop, please rant away, you certainly have something to rant about, so sorry to hear that. I hope you get proper help soon. flowers

soop Wed 01-Sept-21 16:25:21

Grannmarie Wow! Did you you really have your long hair ironed? That must have taken some doing and nerve.

Away to faff. Will be in to say hello/farewell at some time tomorrow.

Please take great care. smile moon

Grannmarie Wed 01-Sept-21 16:23:26

Beautiful smiley baby girl, Soop, ?

soop Wed 01-Sept-21 16:22:41

I am still faffin' in preparation for the family gathering. Sadly, the great grandchildren cannot join us. We must wait until we're able to make the trip to Rutland. Never mind, the photos keep coming. smile

Talking of a faff (my late Nana's favourite word), I have no idea what's going on with the "drop bot" arrangements for further investigation. I was told that I would need to go to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for "tests". Then I receive a letter from another hospital asking me to phone for an appointment. The area code was missing. It wasn't signed. This morning a lady called from a different hospital and asked me to note that in mid September, I shall receive an on-line telephone appointment with a physio'. The prolapse is about as bad as it gets. I cannot venture far for fear of nasty accidents and it is bulky and uncomfortable even on short walks. This means that we will not be able to do any significant sightseeing with family when we meet.

I apologise for the rant. I hate myself for feeling so confused and frustrated.

Grannmarie Wed 01-Sept-21 16:20:37

Great news, Grandmabatty, what a relief for you, you'll sleep tonight!
Beautiful sunset, Yiayia, cool diamond art/artist!
Beautiful family, N&G,
Soop, wishing you and MrS. safe travels and a happy family get together.
Blade Annie, you are a lucky lady, what a capable husband you have...
mind you, long, long ago in the days before straighteners, my DH used to iron my wavy, waist length hairgrin

soop Wed 01-Sept-21 16:12:47

Yia Happy birthday to your positively handsome grandson. The card is to be treasured.

Photo of our latest great granddaughter to share with you all. Together with the final sunset in the month of August.
