Washing machine whizzing round for a second time this morning. Tomorrow due to be wet all day here so being organised. Going to do my physio. Lots of foot waggling and knee bends. Have a good day everyone.

Muse, thank you for clarifying, whatever her mix, Mya is gorgeous. I hope she hasn`t inherited the husky trait of moulting? My son has 2, they could stuff a cushion with what they pick up every day!

Good evening lovely Kitcheners, I had a lie in this morning, then a burst of energy this afternoon. Decided to clear an overhead cupboard that I swear hasn’t been touched for about 20 years! I got covered in in tons of dust. Found some tatty ‘team t-shirts’ from various work projects, they went straight in the bin. Underneath those were a lovely big fluffy bath sheet that just needs washing, a white Benetton sun hat, some practically brand new black Elle jeans and some really fabulous Quicksilva cargo pants that I’d forgotten about. Will throw the jeans, cargoes, hat and towel in the washer and go wash the dust off me in the shower There’s another cupboard waiting to be done, if I don’t crash again tomorrow! The neuro rehab team were always telling me to pace myself, but I feel like I must make the best of ‘good’ days, even if they’re followed by a duvet day. It’s been raining here nearly all day, so I’m glad I could do something productive indoors.

Well today in the garden we’ve had two strapping young men digging out our new garden path - they’d done in all by lunchtime and they were onto the next stage by mid afternoon. It’s amazing what strong fit youngsters can do - if DH had tried it he’d be huffing and puffing all day and making very slow progress - thank goodness those days are long gone and leave it to the experts now. He’s best left in charge of the kettle and biscuit barrel these days ? I made myself scarce and went off to the gym for a splash around at the Aqua class and a mooch around the shops

What a nuisance tomorrow soop to be without power all day. Hope you can go out somewhere for lunch or something ?

‘Evening All’.

We had a white cloud day without sun but it was warm so we went out mid afternoon for a walk along the paseo. Himself had a rack of espeto de sardinas for his lunch. He loves them. With lemon squeezed over and crusty bread. I like the smell of them but can’t be doing with their bones. He got shown by a local years ago how to eat ‘em. No knife and fork. Just pick ‘em up by the head and tail and suck from the centre back towards you. Fish just slides off them bones!

Our walk was through a park, so many squirrels, to the beach, after dinner in the hotel we played travel Rubbikub, score is 1-1, me, competitive…not at all. I’m tired, I haven’t done a 3 hour drive for months and months.

Me in the kitchen at this early hour! I was going to post last night but I was very full and needed bed.

My man’s birthday ? yesterday so we ate out. Last time was December 2019. Fantastic meal and pub was very organised with spacings and service. Mya joined us too and is so well behaved.

My panic ? button was released yesterday. At the weekend I remembered I hadn’t contacted BT about putting cable into the new build. I’d been told nearly 2 years ago from them, they couldn’t do it until we were ready to move in. Visions of some of the carefully laid slabs being lifted to make room for the trench were running through my mind. I was put through to the fibre team and panic over. We went digital 2 months ago. No cable needed any more!?. Engineer will come and remove box and hub from cottage walk across to new house and install it there. I did ask if we could keep connection in cottage but no. To do that, we’d have to have another number and account.

Looking forward to hearing all about the day and see some photos BladeAnnie. Have a glorious day

Morning kitcheners. Grey and drizzly where I am but due to brighten up later. About to make bread. Woman's Hour on. DD2 doing well I believe. V stoical. Her husband is negative so able to do stuff/leave house. Appreciate people's best wishes. Was shattered last night and went to bed at six thirty. Watched bbc iplayer stuff on laptop til nine. Then slept til five thirty. Brilliant! Feel so refreshed. Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all. The boy wonder and I got drenched at the park this morning. He was a happy boy as there were lots of puddles and he had his wellies and a puddle suit on. He also had the entire play park to himself. After all, what other mad person would take their grandson out in pouring rain? His morning was made by seeing nine cygnets and a "massive" crane with men cutting trees. Back home and he's wrecked the living room by turning it into a chute and a den. We've made crispy cakes too. Currently he's wrecking my bedroom and I'm sitting on the couch, knackered. I hope you are all having a good day

Good evening lovely Kitcheners. Well, today didn’t go as planned! Electricity supply to all the power sockets went off last night. Fortunately the lights are on a separate circuit. We managed to work out it was something on the ground floor, but couldn’t work out what. So we switched everything off and reset the switches for the other 2 floors, so we had ‘phone and wifi and could charge things. Rang an electrician first thing. Finally tracked it down to the greenhouse, there was a crispy fried slug stuck to the only power outlet that didn’t have a waterproof cover!

The electrician has isolated the greenhouse and everything else is now working. He’s going to send us a quote for replacing the socket and whatever else is needed in the greenhouse and can come sort it next week.

I’m shattered now, hardly any sleep thanks to a kamikaze slug. Been tidying out another cupboard, only 2 more to go. So dusty, sneezing like mad and very wobbly from standing on the step stool. Got loads done though, cos I couldn’t use the internet

Think it will be a very early night. Hope you can get some rest Grandmabatty. Hope all has gone well for BA and hope Jax is having a good time. TOYA
