A day of not much at our house, Saturdays are like that, the promised rain was minimal, we could have bbq’d today., but it’s forecast a tad warmer tomorrow.
Watching the Southern Brave (on TV), in the cricket, our local team, wishing them to win the final.
Slight unease tonight on GN tonight after the GM palava.
Long may the kitchen remain the haven of peace and gentleness I, and others enjoy so much.

Good evening lovely Kitcheners, today has been spent wrapped in a fleecy blanket, snoozing, listening to an audio book and eating food put in front of me by Mr. B. He has a nasty bite mark on his arm but it isn’t swollen or inflamed and he says it isn’t hurting. I have really crashed today but I think I probably needed to ‘check out ’ for a while. The weather has been awful too.

Struggling to keep my eyes open so I’ll just say sending good vibes to you all and hope we all have a restful night.

TillyTrotter it sounds as though your baby girl would appreciate my cuddles but I am not a fan of a cat sitting on my lap. I have had bil. knee replacements and they would start to complain if the cat was there for more than a few minutes. I prefer the cat to lie on the arm of the chair I am sitting in.

Hellogirl perhaps you should keep a beady eye on Billy because he could have a lovely life here I think.

Susan Henry looks like a little angel in that photo but I am well aware that his grandparents have to don running shoes when that little minx is around. It is lovely to see him so well, knowing what he was like a while ago. At least the food allergies have not reared their ugly heads. He looks as though butter would not melt in his mouth.

It is a year since the first allergy tests.He is back at the hospital on Tuesday so we’re hoping that at least some of his allergies will show improvement??

Good morning everyone. Not much planned. Listening to radio four at the moment. Have been a fan since my teens and find it informative and company. DH in bed as was called in the night and worked for five/six hours. So it's just Ddog and me for elevenses. I start my count down at nine...Might make scones. Ddog partial but we must watch his weight and confine him to dog food (and the very odd sausage roll) and bits of apple/carrot. Lovely to be here and looking forward to becoming acquainted with you all.

Susan, Tilly, Doodle and JaxJacky I am feeling so much better, thank you. I slept for five hours without getting up which is a good result! The headache has subsided too. Scones are always welcome Dogsmakemesmile. I'm making chicken stock then sweet potato, butternut squash and parsnip soup. You are all welcome at Batty Towers.

Susan our GS has outgrown his allergies to chickpeas, sesame and peanuts, it’s just above ground nuts now, he’s 8, but was last tested when 7.
I’ll catch up later all.

That’s good to hear Jax.Henry has severe allergies to eggs and dairy and less severe allergies to other things.We are thinking/hoping the dairy will show as being less severe but the egg is still at the stage where even being near a cake with egg in he has a reaction.It gives us all hope when we hear of children outgrowing their allergies.

Thank you all again. You are a lovely bunch of kitcheners. Dgs should be starting playgroup tomorrow but has a runny nose and is very lethargic. As you know, that's most unlike him. Apparently his cousin, who he saw on Wednesday 'might' have chicken pox. Watch this space.

I am a member of my local Nextdoor which at times can be helpful in finding the odd tradesman who is good and does not charge a fortune.

I know you will all be jealous but I received a private PM today offering a free massage. Hopefully, it would be done in the comfort of my own home!!!
