We leave Italy with a car full of oil, Parmesan and pasta
France with wine, wood floor polish and mustard.

Just returned from Ireland with potatoes, beef and Ballymaloo relish.

What do you bring back from holiday?

Fridge magnets and tea towels, and, if I can afford it, another addition to my Lilliput Lane collection.

I bring home any beautiful silk scarf. They all go with my little black dresses and are easy to pack.

Just come back from a week's holiday in a caravan on a holiday village in Devon with my daughter and young grandchildren both under 5 years old. Had a lovely week but am now shattered ! Bought a souvenir for daughter of a bottle opener with Billy beach ball motif on it. He was the dress up character of the park.
Feel we both need alcohol bottles opened !!

Somerset cider ?
Purple scarf from a charity shop in Hungerford
A lovely blue shoulder bag from Compton Acres
A hand made brightly coloured brooch from Lymington
A tiny Japanese free-standing mobile from the Isle of Wight
A punnet of local raspberries from the New Forest
10 nasty insect bites all over my legs ?

A beer mat or menu from quirky restaurants and bars we visit. I keep them in scrapbooks. Also, I know somewhat corny, but fridge magnets from places we visit. In 2016 hubby and I did a 2100 mile roadtrip down the Pacific highway from Seattle to Los Angeles (and lots of places in-between) and we bought magnets from cities and towns we stayed in. They're displayed in order. Best things to bring back from anywhere however, are memories - always individual and very very special.

Little pottery jugs or pots. Always had camping holidays so couldn’t get anything big. Still have little jug from Lake Lugano in 1951.

Herbs & Spices, pebbles & shells, seed pods, a giant land snail shell. Local crafts on occasion - and yes, sometimes a Christmas decoration - when I can find one I like. Local liqueurs.

Need to go on holiday again. ??

For a few years when we were reoeat visitors in the same area I was buying hand made pottery- a mug or two here, a jug, fruit bowl...but then they closed and that was that.

Hand made soap is another one. I'll bring several bars home with the intention of giving them as gifts and then keep them all for me!!

Maybe something edible as well.
