M&S bras

I haven't bought a new bra for ages, so I thought I'd have a look in M&S. I used to buy my bras in Debenhans but sadly that is no more. Anyway in M&S I could not find any bras in my size which is 34D. Why is this? It was most annoying as I found a few I really liked. They had every other size except mine.

Is it the D's maybe I am 38 D and could only find one today.

I used to love M&S padded plunge bras. But they discontinued them. ? I went into M&S this week to have a quick look at lingerie. Lovely colours but nope, nothing in my size/style/shape.

Galaxy Thu 26-Aug-21 21:33:00

I wasnt in M&S, different shop so perhaps there is a bra shortage. Surely it is the end of days.

Jaxjacky Thu 26-Aug-21 21:35:24

I’ve bought 4 in the last month, 38D in their sumptuously soft range, I suppose it depends what you’re after.

Jaxjacky Thu 26-Aug-21 21:36:14

Meant to say, I buy online.

Casdon Thu 26-Aug-21 21:38:26

There are 235(!) 34D bras online in M&S, so it must be a supply issue in your local store. I tend to go to the store to choose ones I like, then order online as they never have my size in stock either.

Kittye Thu 26-Aug-21 22:24:20

As Casdon says. I may be very lucky to find one in my size instore, the rest I buy online.

MerylStreep Thu 26-Aug-21 22:41:14

I know what I like in M&S bras and always buy on line.
I’ve looked and there are lots of bras in 34D

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 26-Aug-21 22:52:56

I buy mine on line from Miss Mary of Sweden.

glammagran Thu 26-Aug-21 23:05:49

I find their bras (38D too) are generally a very good fit for me, but the quality has plummeted particularly in their Autograph range. I’ve bought M&S bras all my life but never had such short lifespan out of them. Now they are stocking brands which are not their own but haven’t a clue about them.

Arch M n S in general. All round neck tops. Absolutely nothing for me. I can't cope with the heat of a top that is not V or my boobs being round my waist. I do need to look for some new bras but every one I have seen has not appealed and the pyjamas atm are awful. I wonder sometimes do they want to sell their clothes.

Zoejory Thu 26-Aug-21 23:30:20

Bras are my nemesis. I have always hated them.

Discovered these gorgeous Calvin Klein bra tops. No wire, no lace, no VPL.

Only suitable for those of us less well endowed though, I believe.

Did you ask if there were possibly any in the back? Maybe they had had some out and they'd sold and they just needed updating the shelves!
Plus, try Debenhams online shop, I sure it's still up and running. Just Google for it. They were doing loads of sales, I've bought about a years worth of clothing there!
Good luck in finding what you want!

Pittcity Fri 27-Aug-21 08:43:22

I've been trying to buy 38D in sumptuously soft. They never have my size in store so I always order online and pick up next day. The colour I want is even sold out online.

Ali08 Fri 27-Aug-21 08:44:09

Yes, still up and running. Just type in Debenhams to Google search and it comes up. Debenhams sale have 297 34d bras.

Pittcity Fri 27-Aug-21 08:45:51

Experts say that you should only get a year out of a bra before it loses it's shape. Perhaps M&S quality control are aiming for this!

I only ever buy my underwear from M&S. When I am in the U.K. I always stock up. Of course I haven't been able to do that recently. I was over a few weeks ago and was really surprised at the stock levels of a lot of items. I went to three stores and they were all in a similar situation. I am a 38C.

MerylStreep Fri 27-Aug-21 08:49:25

If anyone has what one might call a not common size it’s worth looking on EBay.
Companies buy up stock that M&S discontinue.

Yes I'm going to look online but I wanted to actually see a bra I liked properly first. I didn't ask anyone as the queue at the desk was too long and I didn't see anyone else I could ask. I sometimes think the world has gone a bit crazy lately. Nothing is easy anymore. Thanks for all the comments everyone.

Elusivebutterfly Fri 27-Aug-21 09:09:37

I rarely find the correct size M&S bra in store. I order online, collect from my local food hall a day or two later and return the same way if not suitable. It's very easy and I often buy their other clothes and homeware the same way.
I would say that the sumptuously soft range is so soft and stretchy that I have gone down a size there.
I currently have a 20% off Sparks offer on clothing and lingerie so am looking at bras and jeans.

Pittcity Fri 27-Aug-21 09:13:20

Just checked online again spurred by this thread. There are 2 of the bra I want in stock but it would only let me buy one. I'll go back and try to get the other one now!

MerylStreep Fri 27-Aug-21 09:17:59

Elusivebutterfly
I use the changing room to try on pick up stuff ( not bras as I know they fit) as that saves a return journey if not suitable.

timetogo2016 Fri 27-Aug-21 09:18:52

I stopped wearing bra`s about 3 months ago.
I couldn`t ever find a good fitting and comfortable one.
