Oh poor you dogsmakemesmile. Better stay off the ?, we don’t want any more falls, and sit back with ☕️ and ? until you’re properly mended.

Good Morning Friday 27th August 2021
(77 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
Looking grey but dry this morning here in brackley .
my usual friday shop this morning , but tempted to get a fish & Chip take away later or do own option .
before I settle down to watch cycling on TV .
Ordered hospitality ticket for the women's tour of Britain cycle race in October yesterday .
Take Care,
Mick
Glad you are on the mend Dogsmakemesmile take things slowly.
Lovely messageDogsmakemesmile and so glad you are "sorted" I haven't been a gransnetter very long but am already missing two lovely regular posters .
Afternoon Mick and everyone. Had follow up appointment following second fracture. Hospital very quiet as only urgent/necessary appointments currently allowed. Apologies for use of "necessary" , I know all appointments are necessary and grateful I was seen. I can't think of the right word. Second fracture mended and it is now a question of learning how to walk again. And not falling over ddog on the stairs. I have been so lucky and feel overwhelmed at the competence and compassion of all the NHS staff who treated me. So, so grateful. I had several serious injuries through work but this clobbered me. But without these accidents I would never explored gransnet and the good morning and soop team .Thank you for uplifting me.
Good morning everyone and it’s good to see you safely arrived in France and reunited with Oldduddders,*Ash*.
I’ve only skimmed through the first page so far so will just add best wishes for a very Happy Birthday Urms, I’m glad to see that you’ve been able to get back to Malaga for your birthday. Best Birthday wishes to Beechnut too, sorry I missed yours yesterday. ????
Congratulations for Megs & your DH, 61 years, (Diamond+1)!!
Oops and Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Megs ?
Happy Birthday Urms sounds like you’re in for a lovely day.?????
We bought a caravan 3 years ago and it has been a boon these last 2 summers, for obvious reasons. We’re presently away for a few relaxing days. It’s lovely and quiet on the site- can hear the birds tweeting away and that’s about it.
However we are very much looking forward to touring France, and Holland again, and possibly also Spain if ever the Covid situation improves with more permanence. Ah well, back to being busy doing not much!
Best wishes and random ?to all.
Thank you friends for wishes.
dragonfly. Wow 72 years for your parents, watch this space ???
Happy Anniversary Megs wow 61 years!!
My parents reached 72 so a way to go yet!!!
Happy Anniversary to Mr & Mrs Megs36?
Many Happy Returns of the day to Urmston ?☀️
Good morning Mick and all from yet another sunny day in Glasgow.
Lovely photo Ash Enjoy your time in France. I have many happy memories of having lived there but still enjoy visiting friends and neighbours from time to time.
It’s two decades since we holidayed in Mijas Ekwa. With the amount of new builds that we’re going on at the time, I’m sure The pretty little village will have changed completely. Don’t wait too long suffering with headaches and make a GP appointment soon if there is no change.
Enjoy your stay with your GDs in Oban stilllearning. Our GDs are of similar ages but youngest GD has now joined her sister in secondary school. A lot easier for DD1 to do school runs at last.
Happy Birthday Urms and many happy returns. ??. As you have now discovered, our dear EV has been banned and is sorely missed. A heartless, act I would think many of us feel. ?
Happy Anniversary. to you both Megs. ?
Off to potter about in the garden, my favourite pastime, especially the necessary coffee breaks until my energy returns to let me get on with the next task.
Have a peaceful day all and a better day for all whatever your worries may be.
Happy 61st wedding anniversary Mr and Mrs Megs ?. That’s quite some going. Enjoy your quiet day together, very romantic.
Good Morning everyone. Another grey one here in East Yorkshire. These dull days are getting me down mood wise but in the grand scheme of things I shouldn’t complain.
Happy anniversary Megs36 and Mr Megs ??
Glad to see you made it safely to France for your reunion Ash that’s a lovely photo you shared.
Wishing you well Scentia.?
Happy Birthday Urmston ??what a lovely day in store for your celebrations. Mijas is one of my favourite places in that area. Holidayed there many times. We were there when they began all that building work it was such an upheaval.
Not much to report today I’m having a quiet day. Will try and restore my batteries as will have 3 days of DH at home with it being bank holiday as he will want to go out and about.
Wishing everyone a good day. Take care.
Good morning from the Scottish Borders where it has cooled down a bit today.
3 cheers for Ash getting herself to France. I'll bet the boys were pleased.
So sorry for you Scentia. I hope you get better soon. Don't worry about nanna duties. Someone else can do them.
My DGD aged 3 has a high temp and cough so is being covid tested. There's an outbreak at her nursery and school.
The tree surgeon is coming soon to remove a dead tree and thin another.
Happy birthday Beechnut, Urmston and Happy anniversary Megs
Good Morning to you all from another dry, dull day in Cambs.,!!
Happy Birthday Urmstongran, enjoy your special day.
.
I'm missing popular, regular posters, including EV, surely no one would be heartless enough to actually ban an 80+ lady during these troubling times? HQ?
Warm wishes to you all.
Morning everyone, bit chilly here this morning. Lovely to see Ashcombe safely in France, best wishes to olddudders for a speedy recovery. Just waiting for my mobile hairdresser to arrive, will read all posts later. Have a peaceful day everyone, missing Marydoll.
Happy Birthday Urms ???
? for you too Ekwa, seems like you need it
And I’m sure Ash and her beloved are enjoying a glass or two ??, have fun you lovebirds
Forgot your wine Beech? cheers
Good morning, Mick and all from cloudy Carlisle.
I have woken with a bad head and a bad back today. The latter can be a bit fragile and is no doubt due to hauling stuff about yesterday. The headache has been off and mostly on for a fortnight, cause unknown to me. I originally blamed it on the linseed oil applications to the furniture but that was a while ago now. I'll give it another week then it will be the doctor I think.
Happy birthday Urmstongran. I was scanning some old photos of Mijas recently, I imagine it's greatly changed in over 2 decades.
Hope you don't suffer greatly, Scentia and soon recover.
I'm pottering about emptying boxes. The new furniture won't contain everything, I knew it wouldn't. I might have to get one or two more small pieces but I suspect a hard cull is due. I was spoilt by masses of storage in my last place and if you've got it, you fill it.
May you enjoy the weekend, everyone.
Good morning from a bright and sunny Isle of Anglesey.
Feel better soon Scentia, hope it just a mild dose. I would stay at home and rest just to be on the safe side, let your body do whatever it takes.
Happy birthday ? Beechnut albeit belatedly ??
Happy birthday today Urms ??, the trip sounds fab. ??
Missing our lovely cheerful posters who have added kindness, wisdom and thoughtfulness, also lots of sunshine in one case, to the thread for a long time but can’t say I blame them for moving on.
Don’t know what’s happened to our EV Urms, she and her toasted crumpets disappeared some time ago. I had hoped it was just a spell on the naughty step but alas she’s still missing in action.
I gather Pant is now enjoying sunshine in warmer climes ? hello Pantglas, you are another joyful soul much missed.
Off to the man cave II (newly finished garage) to find Orlin who is busy hanging his power tools and finding a place for everything. How long everything will be in its place is anyone’s guess. My guess is until the next time he uses them, but then I know him better than you.
At least the sight of one random ?wished for all kind posters and readers alike.
Cheerio for now
Good morning everyone. Happy birthday Urms, your day sounds lovely, just don't fall over the edge! Scentia, it depends how well you are feeling, but if you feel up to it and the family have all had it, then if it were me, I would go and look after them. Ash you look so happy to have made it, and your feline family member is so content to have you back!
DGD still in as much pain as she was when she went to hospital on Sunday, DD not planning to do anything until next week, if still in pain then will try and get her to see a consultant. She's not my child, so I have to keep my mouth shut on the advice! They are off on their long anticipated trip to CarFest today, that should kill or cure!
Hope a ray of sunshine comes to everyone today.
Thankyou Beechnut
