Welcome both. Someone wrote a while back that they were disappointed people didn't always to reply in numbers to their posts. Some topics are well supported and others not so much. So I'm saying don't be put off if one subject doesn't get many replies, the next one probably will.

Hi Jane71 I'm a widow and currently have my son and his little boy living with me in Berkshire. My daughter and her husband and two boys live about 10 minutes away so we all see quite a bit of each other. You'll see that the forum topics cover all sorts of subjects so you should find plenty to interest you.

Hello and welcome to you Ullabirgitta, I’m not sure if there are other posters from Sweden, it’ll be lovely to get some different news and thoughts from you. My old neighbour was from Finspang , she was a wonderful character.

This is my first time on this or any Forum so please bear with me! My daughter is a member of Netmums, I think that's the one, and suggested that I may enjoy being on Gransnet.
Do I need to introduce myself? We have two children and four grandchildren: they're all lovely and its delightful when they visit us in the northwest, but its also nice when they go back and we can have some peace and quiet!
I'm really looking forward to reading and taking part in the discussions.
