Happy Anniversary Urmston?

Gwenisgreat1 Tue 07-Sept-21 08:13:48

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Today the intention is to take the car for a spin and just happen to call in a few shops, that is unless we find our new dishwasher is to be delivered!! DH has forgotten how much time is spent washing dishes - he goes out to the garden, and thinks the dishes clean themselves while I sit around doing nothing!
Enough with the moaning!! Have a great day all while the sun ? shines

Gingster Tue 07-Sept-21 08:14:30

Oh good luck for Thursday cornergran ?

Neen it sounds idyllic. Did you say you lived in Suffolk? Coast or country.?

Nannytopsy we’ve been to Dunwich a few times over the summer. It’s been very busy but should be easing off a bit now. The fish and chips are really the best ?

harrigran Tue 07-Sept-21 08:17:48

Good morning from a sunny NE ?
Yesterday was quite pleasant and I spent some time removing the moss from the patio.
DH has a telephone appointment with his consultant this morning.
DD is now home in Brussels after four months in the UK, she is not expecting her car to start but thankfully she lives close enough to walk to work.
Happy anniversary to the Urmstons, enjoy your celebration.
Good luck with herding the cats Ashcombe

Good morning from a sunny Essex by the sea.

Well the boat trip didn't happen yesterday. We managed about half an hour out from the mooring when DH said we had a problem and needed to get back.

We just got back before the tide started to recede. DH thinks it's the water pump so he is off to try and sort it today.

We went to a local pub for a drink and a meal early evening. Such a shame as, although I was a bit nervous about going, I was quite enjoying going down the river and we were hoping to see some seals.

Housework today and a walk by the beach.

Enjoy the sun everyone and have a lovely day xxx

Greyduster Tue 07-Sept-21 08:19:53

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A sunny start in South Yorkshire and set to be very warm. Indian Summer! I am having my usual morning sneezing fit. The house still smells of paint but it’s dry now and we will clean the pictures and put them back on the walls today. Not sure what we will do with the rest of the day. We’ll have to wait and see. Bottled two litres of elderberry cordial yesterday. Delicious!
Happy Anniversary to the Urmstons!??. Enjoy your day!
Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning everyone from the east coast of Fife and from my cosy bed I’ve no idea what the weathers like beyond those curtains sorry I couldn’t find yesterday’s good morning post Alizarin is that the flying Scotsman! I remember a few years ago sitting in a lovely wee tea room at a railway station in Dingwall having just finished a caring assignment when the flying Scot on its debut crawled through causing folks to jump out their seats to look at it in wonder. It’s amazing what nostalgia can do for you. I’m posting a picture of me in recovery a year ago or so it says on my Facebook memory page. It’s a pity I’m not much more further on but stroke recovery takes it’s own time and I’m getting there. I’m just wondering where that last year has gone can anyone tell me.

Thinking of those with covid please get well soon the sun will shine soon againsunshine

Good morning all,
A beautiful morning, and, as Greyduster says, is set to be a very warm one.
A lovely painting Alizarin, your Father was very talented.
Happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Urms. Enjoy your day.
Grocery shopping on the agenda this morning, then a lazy day I think.
It sounds as if you had a busy day bottling yesterday, Greyduster.
Take care everyone.

Morning from S Lanarkshire where there’s still a cloudy sky.

A lovely meet up and lunch yesterday with my two granny pals from the school gate years. Also so nice to spend most of Sunday with my two youngest GC. It felt normal again but always with the niggle of worry about the numbers of positive tests in the schools here. What to do?

That must have been such a special moment Alizarin, no wonder you felt emotional , I would imagine very mixed feelings.

Our U3A groups are restarting with a general meeting today and everyone has been asked to take a lateral flow test before attending. Quite a few people here have been positive and isolating so not sure.

Wishing everyone a good day, especially those with special challenges who I always remember ??

Your last year ran off with my hip ops one I think Elizabeth!!! I don't know if it's the Flying Scotsman. Dad did hundreds of steam train paintings.

Good morning Mick and all from a summery Lancashire coast.
Taking it easy this morning as off to sing at music club this afternoon, then my sister and friend arrive to stay breaking up their journey to Scotland. Meal out tonight. My energy levels only go so far these days, but I’m going down fighting.
My bed is by the window in this bungalow and I’m amused when the window is open, by the cat leaping on me. She was lying on my hand this morning and I’m surprised how heavy she is.
Fine painting Alizarin!
Have a nice day and thoughts to the troubled.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny and warm Anglesey. Already had a walk along the shore, there seemed to be a trillion sparkly fairies dancing on the sea.
Happy anniversary Urms and himself. Hope you both have a wonderful day.
Off out in to the garden, not prepared to waste a single moment of this bonus bit of summer.
Keep smiling and enjoying moments with your random pink flamingo ?

Auntieflo Tue 07-Sept-21 10:08:34

Good morning Mick, Annie, Marydoll and all.
Happy Anniversary Mr&MrsUrms.
We had our 60th anniversary get together on Sat, and had stayed with DD and DIL. Lovely family get together. They must be exhausted, I know I am. I still have a back ache today, but it will go if I rest.
Picture is of our cards and flowers. HM's card, is sideways on, on top of the TV. Hope she doesn't mind ?
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning Mick and all. It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Lancashire. Temperature currently 17° C, forecast to get hotter later.

I’m having a late breakfast after a leisurely shower. Mr. B has done the weekly shop. I’m going to take advantage of the weather and empty the laundry basket. I’m planning to make a start on organising my jewellery, I’ve given some to the Alzheimer’s society and will send them more. It’s doing no good in a box in my bedroom.

Welcome to any new posters. Best wishes to anyone celebrating and virtual hugs to anybody suffering. Wishing a safe journey to anybody traveling.

Have the best day possible ????

Good morning, Mick and all from bright Carlisle where the sun is finally struggling out. We haven't reached anything like the promised 24C yet, it's only 18C so far.
A bit of housework, a lot of admin today but the latter could be abandoned for the garden if it does warm up.
Happy anniversary to Mr and Mrs* Urmston* and many more.
Have a good day, everyone.
