Good morning Mick, morning all from dark South Lanarkshire.

This is the second day I’ve been an earybitd on here, I’m awake too early for my liking.

A smashing day yesterday with DGS and we saw his sisters too, which was lovely. We don’t do regular childcare for DD just now so don’t see them as often.

More garden tidying today unless the forecast is correct and the temperature is high in which case I’ll sit with my book and just enjoy the sunshine.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day as always.

Good morning from West Berkshire where we are expecting a hot day ahead .
A bitter sweet GN day yesterday with dancing around to Pata Pata thinking of Phoenix and then the return of Rufus, when the tear finally fell.

Food bank this morning , followed by a few little errands and then chilling this afternoon .

Take care one and all .

Scentia Tue 07-Sept-21 06:32:29

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where it is promising sunshine ☀️
Off on Nanna duties soon but I have some deliveries first.
Nice to see Rufus back online, hope he is recovering.
Today we have a Teepee being delivered at DD so a bit of time in the garden will be in order.
Take care everyone and stay safe ❤️

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country.
Gosh our bin men get earlier each week, they've just emptied general rubbish and the other lorry for recycling is following behind.
DH has hospital appt this morning for ECG and device check and download from his ICD.
Will probably take a trip to garden centre after have a walk round the lake, then coffee and cake.
Take care all and may you all find some ?.

Alizarin Tue 07-Sept-21 06:38:25

Good morning from south Cornwall where it's going to be hot hot hot, thankfully with a strong wind. An allotment day for me, this morning sorting my herb beds, clearing the pond and sawing wood to make new surrounds, then meeting our allotment knitters. Went past an antique shop in our high street yesterday and there's one of my dad's paintings in the window! Pic attached. I was moved. Have a good day everyone.

Alizarin Tue 07-Sept-21 06:40:37

Pic didn't attach first time, it seems!

Beechnut Tue 07-Sept-21 06:44:45

Good Morning everyone from what will is starting to look like a sunny Severnside. I feel quite warm already.

I’m going swimming and possibly a browse shop for a new purchase I think I ought to make. Afterwards I think I’ll join you baubles and enjoy the sunshine with my book.

Enjoy the day all ??

cornergran Tue 07-Sept-21 06:50:16

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is promised a very hot, sunny day.

Plan to get jobs done as soon as we can and then sit in the shade, shame the beach is out of bounds. It will work well as long as I can stir and get myself out of bed grin. Your Dad was very talented Alizarin, can understand the unexpected sighting was emotional.

Take care everyone, hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 07-Sept-21 07:04:43

Morning Mick and all

Suns up here in S E Essex. We have The Imp today so I think it will be a long walk first thing before it gets overly hot.

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Ashcombe Tue 07-Sept-21 07:13:38

Good morning, everyone, from la Sarthe where another hot day is forecast. Temperatures hit 32degrees yesterday so we welcome the “coolth” of the house.

Today both cats are due at the vets which should be fun! DH can’t lift and we all know about cats and herding them into travel cages. Both are sixteen and one is showing signs of dementia in her preference for chewing litter gravel to eating her food.

Wishing everyone well. ??☀️

Urmstongran Tue 07-Sept-21 07:17:42

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s sunny. We have 32°C with a gentle breeze today.

Tuesday = LWW this afternoon. ??

As it’s our 47th wedding anniversary I shall have a more measured session (ahem!) as we plan to go down to the marina for dinner tonight.

Enjoy today all who can. x

cornergran Tue 07-Sept-21 07:26:48

A very happy anniversary to you both urms. Sounds like an excellent day ahead.

Gelisajams Tue 07-Sept-21 07:28:54

Good morning from Morecambe Bay.
We have a lazy day planned because of the forecast heat.
However the day has not started well. We have a milk in bottles delivered and DH has just dropped one putting them in the fridge.
Good luck with the cats Ash I don’t have cats but my friend who does tells me that they get a sixth sense and disappear when they are to be put in the car basket. She puts the basket over them rather than herding them in. (If she can find them)
Take care and stay safe everyone ?

Nannytopsy Tue 07-Sept-21 07:29:02

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
Another lovely start to the day in Suffolk. I too am awake earlier than I would like Baubles after a night disturbed by vivid dreams.
DD’s dog didn’t get a walk yesterday, so I shall take her early today before it gets too hot. I still have school uniform trousers to shorten. The teenager wants them to be unruffled at the front, over his big clumpy shoes. Of course, that leaves them about 2” short at the back!
Any advice?!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Gelisajams Tue 07-Sept-21 07:29:47

Happy Anniversary Urmston Enjoy your day.

ginny Tue 07-Sept-21 07:33:06

Good morning . Looks like it is going to be a warm day here in N. Bucks.
Plans for today include collecting some craft materials and baking a couple of cakes. Also to finalise the first project for craft club.
This evening is first time back for Flower club so I’m looking forward to a good demonstration. The club is struggling to get a full committee so it’s days may be numbered .
Wishing all a good day with a smile along the way.

brook2704 Tue 07-Sept-21 07:35:09

Good morning everyone from Cambridge where it’s forecast to be a really hot sunny day
Happy Anniversary to Mr and Mrs Urmston have a great day and a lovely celebration this evening! ??❤️
This morning DGS and I are off hopefully to find some shade somewhere at one of the local NT properties. Then we’ll be home early afternoon for some water play in the garden and before picking up his brother from school.
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings ?

Gingster Tue 07-Sept-21 07:39:35

Good morning all and we’re expecting another warm day.

Alizirin what a brilliant painting! I expect your heart jumped when you saw it. ❤️

Happy anniversary mr and Mrs Urms . Don’t overdo the lunchtime session, ?.

Why is the beach ‘out of bounds* cornergran ?

Yesterday we travelled back to Essex and will be here for a couple of weeks. Today little pooch has a much needed grooming session and then I’m off to my Bridge Club after 18 months. I’ve really missed it and the great bunch of people there. It isn’t too serious (like a lot if bridge groups I’ve been to ?) and it’s lots of fun.

I hope everyone has a good day and I think most of us has sunshine forecast, ?. Enjoy!

Pittcity Tue 07-Sept-21 07:44:31

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Going to be a hot one.

Love to all x

BlueSapphire Tue 07-Sept-21 07:48:40

Good morning everyone from another bright and sunny day in ? Northampton. Yesterday was beautiful, and after morning yoga I spent the afternoon in the garden reading, and stayed out till I had finished my book, The Curator by M W Craven, a good read if you like a crime thriller. It is the third in a series and have read the first two. Will have to see what else I have to read.

A trip on the bus again this morning, this time into town. I need to go to the bank, and then return a couple of dresses to Next - one too big, and the other too small!

Then this afternoon a health walk if it's not too hot. I hope we take it easy.

Wishing a pleasant day to all.

BlueSapphire Tue 07-Sept-21 07:50:52

Happy anniversary, Urmston!

cornergran Tue 07-Sept-21 07:51:07

Self isolating before TKR on Thursday gingster. Could have predicted the heatwave, in fact I did grin.

Alizarin Tue 07-Sept-21 07:53:54

All the best for Thursday corner. My TKR was brilliant.
