Evening All|; still alive and kicking, just about!
Aveline Surprised that your emails failed to get through, assuming you didn't mis-type! wink
Next time it's still -- [email protected] --

As another poster said, very useful if all else fails; nothing quite as frustrating as being cut-off from all contact!
Especially from such lovely ladies! smile

Quiet day today; new lady housekeeper arrived and very thorough; put a full load of laundry on, made my bed and a very nice cup of tea
Not a good drying day so bathroom, warmest room when C/H is on, is now resembles a sauna-cum-Oriental laundry!
\Tomorrow, it's the the turn of another lady to help with my showering! blush
Nothing like a bed-ridden spell in a hospital to help dispel all one's shyness! As they all keep saying "I've seen it all! " as they help with the urinal ( "jug, bottle or whatever') grin
Anyway; enough of that!
Sadly, our Covid situation appears to go from bad to worse, with pollies saying that the worst is yet to come, particularly for VIC and NSW; their justification for not easing off on lockdowns.
I can imagine full-scale riots by mentally deranged citizens are not far off!

Our ethnic- type TV station SBS is showing a series of "never-seen-before" docos on the anniversary of 9-11.
It's hard viewing, especially one called the "Falling Man" which depicts the planes hitting the Twin Towers from new angles and people obviously jumping from top floors.
One man was shown in great detail, identified and followed up! Only two choices; be roasted to death or jump to an obvious death.
Naturally the original publication caused much anguish! sad

Must away and lay out some clean underwear for tomorrow to-day!
Good Health wine wine wine

Hi Rufus, ladies in attendance, how civilised! We’ve got a mini heatwave for a few days, 28 here, I’ve had to oik the shorts back out and into use. Still, the boiler has been serviced and tested, so good to go when the cold creeps in.
At last I’m cropping tomatoes from the greenhouse, it’s been a long wait.
Take care ?

Hi Rufus2. Sounds like you're having an exciting time. While I was in hospital all and any modesty was thrown to the winds! I suspect you won't have any trouble being shameless. Seriously your visiting housekeepers sound great.
I expect Covid safety was a big issue when you were in hospital. Were you allowed visitors?
My hip op seems to have gone very well. I'm not 100% back to normal but pretty good for six weeks today.
Life has taken a turn for the better with the arrival of the two Maine Coons we're rehoming. They're lovely boys. Beautiful but very friendly and cuddly. Odd when they look up at me with the late Baz's face.
Still over the moon that you're OK!

Hello Rufus Good to know you are being looked after, how long will you get help? When you come out of hospital here you get 6 weeks Social Service , i.e Showering , help with dressing, after that you are assessed for paying. My husband had this a couple of years ago, I think more was included ( meals etc) if you were alone. He had a catheter (too much information) andachest drain.so a district nurse came now and then too.
All sounds awful but better when you are at home I guess.
I wonder if you can see any family during the horrible time. Spoke to our grandson in NSW. and he can’t meet up with friends at present because of travel restrictions.
We are FREE here but chance of lockdown restrictions again in October for short time apparantly.
We’re not getting out much still, seem to have lost impetus, I’ve sent for a rollater to help walking, not quite up to Freda’s standard??
Take care, keep safe.
Cheers ????????

Good evening, Rufus, wishing you a speedy recovery to rude grin health!

It sounds like you are getting excellent after care, relax and enjoy.

Just had an early evening walk in the Park with my sisters, lovely blue sky and still warm, although it's getting dark around 8.30 now in Scotland. The nights are fair drawin' in!

But, apart from a deluge in August, we've had a really nice summer this year.

Take care ?
