Good Morning Everyone,
Its twilight here in brackley but cloudy and dry .
Today , an early small shop ,and then watch todays stage of the Tour of Britain as it goes across Pennines between Carlisle and Gateshead on TV .
Also tempted to buy some Fish & Chips from local takeaway as well.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a wet NE Hampshire. Ash and Marydoll thank you for passing on the message from grandMattie. I cannot begin to imagine how Mr and Mrs GM are coping with their dreadful loss, it must be unbearable. If only all the love on here could ease their pain…….
Good luck today for Olddudders, I really hope he gets help from the GP and the scans.
Marydoll, thinking of you. ??

Good morning all.
Slept in today as I didn’t get home from our trip until 1.15 this morning. Went to see Cinderella, the new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical and the coach trip back took 2 and half hours. An hour longer than expected. The show was good - a quirky take in the fairytale but not suitable for children really.

My throat is still sore from doing the lateral flow test. I must have been too thorough! ?.

I’ve cancelled my eye test today as they phoned to say , allow 2 hours for the appointment! ?. We are meeting friends for a pub lunch and couldn’t be sure I would be out in time.

Holding granMattie in my thoughts too. ? ?

Cornergran speedy recovery

Scentia have a lovely outing with your DD. You will look the ‘bees knees’. ?

Nannytopsy my Dh ‘s diy always results in wonky work. He always says he uses a spirit level ?. ?

Wishing you all as good a day as possible. ????

Good morning Mick and all from a teeming down Lancashire coast.
Off to art group soon, pen and ink day. Could do with an at home day after the busiest week in a long long time, but we are a long time dead…
I’m overdue to see a few friends and need to fix things up. Blessed to have them.
DD leaves for the south this morning, her visits go by in a flash and I still haven’t picked my apples and plums.
I’m so looking forward to a night in with Miss Marple!
Hope you have a good weekend and thoughts to the troubled.

Good morning everyone from a dull N. Bucks.
A quick trip to local shops this morning . The afternoon will be spent packing our caravan ready for the off tomorrow.
Speedy recovery cornergran and get well wishes for all who are under par in health or mood.

Wishing all a smile along the way.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning everyone from a grey and overcast ☁ Northampton. There is a fine drizzle as I discovered on going out to the garage freezer.

Didn't do a lot during the day yesterday except finish another book - that's two since Sunday!

Had a pleasant evening health walk in sunshine followed by a meal and wine at the pub. We finish the evening walks at the end of the month, so making the most of them.

Off to the first rugby match of the season this evening; "Friday night under the lights". Meeting DD and her husband there, as I shall take my first journey (since last year), on a bus alone. It will be so exciting to be back to a normal stadium, and I think the atmosphere will be electric, although it's only a friendly match. Must get my team shirt out! And do a lateral flow test at some time during the day.

Thank you to Marydoll and Ash for the message from grandMattie. What a shock for the family, thinking of them.

Take care all.

grandMattie Fri 10-Sept-21 08:51:16

Just a brief note from me. Constantly remind your children how much you love them and catch any passing flamingoes.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your kindness. I’ll be back…

Lovely to see you Marydoll flowers

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I couldn’t bring Gransnet up on my iPad this morning for some reason. Computer said No! The sun is shining in South Yorkshire. We will probably go for a walk somewhere but I am ravaged by bites which are driving me potty and look as if I have measles, so I really don’t want anymore to add to them!
Ash I hope there is positive news for OD. Corner onward and upward!?? Kind thoughts to all that need them.

Take care of yourself granMattie ❤️

Good morning from Morecambe Bay where it’s now dry. Please don’t send more rain northwards Hollysteers. We have a tree to cut down for a lady this morning, then we are off to the local garden centre for afternoon tea courtesy of a client for whom we did a non gardening job for without charging her. She was adamant she had to pay us despite our protests to the contrary.
Hope you have a better night tonight Cornergran and the Drs can suggest something to sort Olddudders out.
Thinking too of gM Marydoll Dragonfly and others suffering the recent loss of bereavement.
Take care everyone and stay safe ?

Grandmadinosaur Fri 10-Sept-21 09:01:30

Good morning all. Overcast but warm again today.

Yesterday was a bit of a hectic day with one thing and another. Don’t want to go into detail on here but due to complications it looks like our new grandchild will be delivered early. Anxious times.
Had DGS after school for the first time. He was still full of beans ? so unlike his father at that age he just wanted to collapse in front of the TV ….. or was that being lazy?

Sending thoughts and hugs to all who need them.

Take care all.

Good morning from a partly sunny Essex by the sea.

Hopefully some good news for Olddudders today and I wish you well for your recovery Cornergran.

Good to see you again Marydoll, a very tough time for you lately.

Thinking of you and your family GM. I totally agree that we should tell our children how much we love them.

I had an appointment with a specialist nurse at the hospital yesterday and she was the nicest person you could ever wish to meet. I thought I was wasting her time but she sat and went through all my options with me.

Not a lot going on here today so I will wish you all a pleasant Friday xxx

aggie Fri 10-Sept-21 09:18:03

Good morning all, dull here but I hope it stays dry , sister is coming to take me out for lunch ( I always end up paying ) and we hope to be sitting outside
Marydoll I was just thinking that I have more friends in the Churchyard than alive and well , I give thanks for every morning I waken ,
My youngest Granddaughter is recovering from Covid , she is only 9 and feels well enough to be bored , but poorly enough to not be able to entertain herself ! Back to school Monday

Alizarin Fri 10-Sept-21 09:20:06

Good morning from a bright but overcast south Cornwall. A quickie as I'm sitting in Minor Injuries with suspected glass in my foot. As usual my surgery came up trumps when I called them. Thinking of you gM.

Blossoming Fri 10-Sept-21 09:56:10

Good morning Mick and all from a warm (20°) Lancashire.
Hairdresser appointment today. Not much else planned. A great deal of sadness here today, commiserations to all. Better times ahead? Who knows.

joyce6135 Fri 10-Sept-21 11:02:23

Morning everyone, late getting up this morning as I stayed up to watch Emma Raducanu’ s match which ended about 4:30am our time! Worth it though, looking forward to the final.
Hugs to GranMattie and Marydoll but good to see you back Marydoll. Wishing for better times for all. Lots of wise words on here. Have a peaceful day everyone.?

LauraNorder Fri 10-Sept-21 11:07:21

grandMattie how brave of you to come on so selflessly to remind us to tell our children every day how much we love them. Wise words from your breaking heart.
Until you return, and I know you will, take care x

Grandmattie, sending you love and prayers ???, I remembered you and yours at Mass this morning. ?Thank you for sharing your very wise words, and thinking of us, in your sorrow.

Praying for comfort and consolation for all those who mourn loved ones, so sad.

Get well soon, Cornergran, I'm delighted to hear that your operation has been a great success. Hoping for good news for Dragonfly and OD.

Alizarin, hope your foot is OK.
