Morning from S Lanarkshire where the mist is slowly clearing.
Slightly later up this morning after a broken night’s sleep. At least I finished my book about 4.30am.

Exercise class at one o’clock today, usual coffee and chat afterwards. Then first dental appointment for two years, and I had to exaggerate gum pain to get it!

Happy anniversary to you and your husband monk and thoughts to those suffering in some way today.

?to grandMattie, thanks for posting, and wishing a good day to everyone ???

Good morning Mick and all from a mixed up weather wise day on the Lancashire coast.
Not sleeping well due to bad back and there seem to be quite a few on here, very draining. More fruit picking in order and house stuff after out most of the day yesterday. Music club meeting very enjoyable with a wide range of music and I sang a music hall song for the first time with parasol and hat for good measure. Forgot my aching back for a while.
Watched old film, Reckless Moment last night, it was a cracker and James Mason, my heartthrob ? I think he could make me forget the olde back…
Thoughts to grandMattie ??

grandMattie - thinking of you.

There are sadly very good reasons why many of us are reluctant to post on this thread. Hello to EllanVannin, Muse, Grandmafrench, seacliff, Nannagarra hope you are all keeping well.

Good morning all, I have the washing machine churning away , more in hope than expectation ! It’s a bit grey out

grandMattie Holding you close in my heart.
When my daughter and I did this we took a photograph of my son. Sometimes I look at it and it helps. Just a thought. flowers

Early morning fog is gradually lifting and am planning on taking DH to a coffee morning run by the local Parkinson’s group in the hope of learning from others living with this horrible illness. He is not keen - not hugely clubable at his best, never mind now, but am selling it as helpful for me.

Thinking of gMattie and harrigran in particular, and missing Marydoll, Grandmafrench and EllanVannin who no longer post, for whatever reason.

Grandmadinosaur Wed 15-Sept-21 08:47:41

Happy Anniversary Monk and Mr Monk ?

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a damp and gloomy South Yorkshire. New carpeting is all fitted so we are not picking our way up the stairs trying to avoid a minefield of gripper rod now. Bliss! I have a cake to finish decorating today and then DD et al are coming over for dinner later.
Happy Anniversary Monk; have a lovely day.
Kind thoughts to Grandmattie? through this the hardest of times.
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning Mick and the GM team from east London, where we have blue skies.

I too have been thinking of grandMattie and her family and am sending good thoughts.
All good wishes to harrigran and Mrh.

We have a man coming today about new windows for our house. I am not looking forward to this at all.

Wishing all the Good Morningers a pleasant day.

Morning Mick, morning All. Mist lifting over our corner of Somerset and a sunny day forecast

Today’s excitement will be a grocery delivery. It seems nothing missing. Wow. Overdid the exercises a bit yesterday, will listen to my protesting body and go gently today. I had such good care I don’t want to let the surgeon and medical staff down by not doing my part.

Jax I know you’ve done a lot of walking but have you made it to Brean Down? The views are spectacular and the fort at the end interesting. Shame to miss it.

A hard day ahead mattie, love to you all flowers.

Congratulations monk, a very happy anniversary to you both. Thinking of all with joys or sorrows, all of life is represented in this thread I always think.

Take care everyone. Hope Wednesday is gentle with us all.

Good morning from a sunny Morecambe Bay. Hopefully it will be the same in Keswick as I’m off to garden there. DH will go off for a walk and pick me up later. Sometimes he works with me but not today. He’s celebrating the consultant moving him from three monthly to six monthly check ups.
My thoughts are with all who are struggling but in particular gM and Harrigrans ?
Take care and stay safe everyone ?

Good morning from a grey Leicestershire.
I often don’t post as I have nothing to say Urmston. There are many missing posters but especially miss Marydoll’s novellas.

Coffee with friends this morning while my lovely gardener does her magic.
I think I have a wasp nest in the eves. One of them stung me yesterday - it was very painful.

Happy Anniversary monk.
I hope you have a better day Harrigran.
My thoughts as always with Mattie and her family.

Oldbutstilluseful Wed 15-Sept-21 08:23:32

Good morning from NE Hampshire. It’s looking grey here but hopefully will stay dry.
grandMattie you are so brave. How hard it must be to stay strong for your family, particularly your grandson. I’m joining everyone else sending you love and wishing you strength today.

This has been a sad thread this summer Urmstongran. I’m hoping the missing posters will return when they feel able to.

Wishing all as good a day as possible

Grandmajean Wed 15-Sept-21 08:20:37

Good morning all from sunny ? Llandudno
We have now done our grave rounds - put silk flowers ? on the family grave on the Great Orme and the Jones’s one outside Deganwy. Today I think we are going to Bodnant Gardens - never been in September, so should be quite different from Easter.
I’ll try to post a picture of St Tudnos church which is at the cemetery
A beautiful and peaceful location
My thoughts are with you GrandMattie flowers.
Have the best day possible folks!

Good morning all from a cloudy Black country.
Today is our 48th wedding anniversary we shall be going for a curry with the family later. Other than that nothing else planned.
Thoughts and prayers with granMattie and family ?

NanKate Wed 15-Sept-21 08:06:18

Good morning Mick.

A grey day here in South Bucks.

grandMattie you, your DGS and family are in our collective thoughts at this very sad time. You have shown us the importance of telling our nearest and dearest how much we love them. ?

Where is our Marydoll I do miss her kind and funny words.

ginny Wed 15-Sept-21 08:06:13

Good Morning to you all .
Yesterday’s visit to the Isle of Wight was a little disappointing ting. The sun came out but the resorts we visited all seemed rather run down and not as I remembered them.
Today we are off to Winchester to explore and visit the Flower Festival at the cathedral. Hoping to see some beautiful displays.

Special thoughts to GrandMattie and Harrigran and all who need them.
Hope you can all find a smile in your day.

Jaxjacky Wed 15-Sept-21 08:01:25

Good morning from a not sure as I’m still in bed Weston super Mare. Walked miles yesterday, up and down the pier, along the seafront, then to Cheddar. We didn’t walk the gorge, it was damp and our footwear wasn’t right, that’s my excuse anyway. MrJ off to golf, I may have a swim, read my tome of a book (Troubled Blood), it’s a workout even carrying it.
Thoughts with you grandMattie on another difficult day ?.

NotAGran55 Wed 15-Sept-21 07:57:43

Good morning Mick, morning all from cloudy South Lanarkshire.

As we got her a few months before the first lockdown little pooch never got used to people she doesn’t know coming into the house so now we have a barking dog which I’m not happy about. Today I’ll spend time watching UTube videos on how to help her stop reacting to the doorbell. I suspect it will be an uphill task.

Wishing you strength today and in the days to come grandMattie flowers
