Good afternoon lovely Kitcheners. Today I have been dusting and vacuuming. Mr. B is having a rest day as the garden clearance has caught up with him. I’m afraid he doesn’t have Mr. Muse’s stamina! He is making fish fingers, chips and peas for tea, not quite a fish supper but much appreciated. I have had lots of aerobic exercise today so feel I have earned it

Well done on finishing the painting soop. I have managed a little creative ‘me’ time playing with my gemstone stash, and I’ve made some pretty bracelets, in my opinion. I will photograph them later or tomorrow morning and you can judge for yourselves.

Pressed post too soon! Love your outfit Yia, I won some lovely pale suede calf length boots in a Hotter online comp a couple of years and they go beautifully with longer dresses and skirts. Being neutral they go with most colours.

Mr Soop has convinced me that a pair of Joe Brown's Penny Lane Check Boots are a must to wear with my favourite tartan midi skirt. Well, it would have been churlish not to agree. Too late if he should change-up his mind (as Torben used to say), because they have been ordered.

All bed linen ironed and sitting neatly on the airing shelves. I enjoy slipping between smooth, freshly laundered sheets. Just sayin'.

Jax, I am the same with my fear of the dentist and also my reluctance to smile with teeth as Matilda says.My children think my teeth are fine but I feel self conscious of them.I will look into bonding.

We have just got home after a day of childcare.The play date in the park went well, the girls were so happy to be playing together out of school.Lots of snacks were eaten and we have promised we will do it again next week weather permitting.

‘Evening All’.

Home! Got here at 9pm UK time. Great flight with Mr. O’Leary, on time so the trumpet sound on landing which always makes me giggle.

We are eating buttered crumpets (always think of EV now ?) with a cuppa ☕️. Lovely! Himself nipped down to Sainsbury’s for milk and was back up in minutes!

It’s so MILD! I’ve opened the click door to the balcony. Not raining either in Manchester!

I smell like a tart’s boudoir as I had several sprays of perfume at duty free before buying. Shower soon and pj’s on for me. I’ll catch up first on here while I drink my tea.

Just nipping in before midnight! To update you on my run of Fridays this week, when I woke up this morning, I thought it was Saturday. ?. When I came to properly, I realised Friday had come at last, and even better, it’s my birthday!

It’s been a good celebration. I did have a migraine this morning but it had gone by the afternoon so we went out for coffee and cake. The weather is balmy, 20.5deg. We came home and I opened a considerable pile of gifts and cards, all of which were just perfect. We then zoomed with all four DC and some of the GC. Dd2 was on a train and kept disappearing into tunnels, which was v funny.

After that, Dh and I went out for dinner at a fancy local hotel. The staff came in and sung Happy Birthday to another diner so on my way out I made a comment to the birthday girl that all the best people had birthdays today. We struck up a very nice conversation - they’re visitors to the area and most impressed with it, then envious of us when I said we lived just a couple of miles away. After all the restrictions of Covid, it was so nice to simply have a chat to someone new, as though life might be getting back to being a bit more normal.

So, that’s me for the day! Back to decluttering again this weekend, I think.

Grandmafrench glad you are getting someone in to do your hedge. Sometimes the men folk need to be reminded they need to take care of themselves. Enjoy your picnic.

I`m just in time, Happy Birthday SueDonim!
I was out for a meal the other night with youngest son, his wife and their son, as it was his 50th birthday. How can my YOUNGEST be 50? There are 4 above him, so they are all really old! Makes me ancient.
Soop, don`t you dare talk about popping your clogs, it`s definitely not allowed!
Tomorrow off to Yorkshire, 6 of us are meeting up with one of my half sisters and her hubby for a meal in Barnsley, then back to their house in Rawmarsh for a while before setting off home.

Good afternoon dear Kitcheners. Happy belated birthday SueDonim, hope you had a lovely day. Good to see you back Urms, hope you’re not too travel weary.

Today I attacked the carpets with the rubber broom, great exercise and stops the vacuum cleaner from getting gunged up with hair! The carpets didn’t look particularly grubby, but there’s always an incredible amount of hair and fluff comes out.

These are the beaded bracelets I’ve been making, gemstone beads with sterling silver spacers and charms. As these are for me they’re all elasticated, I can’t manage fiddly clasps. When I’m making them for gifts I use silver wire and fasteners. The beads are carnelian, onyx, amber and rose quartz.
