Lovely day with toddler gd. Another stint tomorrow. Have just done attended a Teams meeting for a charity I'm involved with.
Tea was the first few things I pulled from the freezer. Not Magnums...We buy the vegan ones. Yum.
Both DDs recovered from Covid though tired. My thoughts are with anyone who has it/is worrying about someone with it. Wild weather earlier. Now calm. Sleep well everyone.

No swim for me today as I had to visit the dentist, travelling in my car as DH wants to save his petrol! Happily I squeezed in a detour to IKEA…their meatballs are better than those I make.
That’s good news about your DGD Urms. Thanks for the pics of the beautiful flowers and the very pretty, glamorous sisters. I hope your DD only has a mild dose of C19, Bellanonna; what a worry for you. I’d like to think that you’ll have positive news by tomorrow night, soop, rather than by Wednesday. Like others, I’ll be thinking of you.

We’ve had a busy day. All of the family are delighted that L’il Miss had a negative PCR test. She is over the worst and may well be back in class tomorrow. Thanks for your good wishes.

We called in Bevano (one of the ‘Lounge’ group - maybe some of you have one nearby too?) for a pint for Himself and a large glass of Sauvignon Blanc ‘Pulpo’ (delicious wine) for me. See the photo of the place. (Hence no ‘Dixon’ tonight folks).

It was taken from our table up on the mezzanine - a great place for people watching as you can imagine! But my - prices in the UK compared to Spain. Wowzer! £13.40 for our drink each. No wonder we enjoy being in Malaga!

Anyway, home now (we live next door & only had to come up in the lift, second floor) and chicken thighs in the oven, covered with peri-peri sauce. A bag of Tilda mushroom rice is ready to ping in the microwave. Eat your heart out Delia - we dine at 8pm.

Crumbs Hellogirl I see two smashing looking women, don’t know one from t’other, don’t put yourself down.
Result tonight, an unusual Monday visit to the local sorting out meat for the festive event with our butcher friend. Another friend came in ‘xxx garage up the road has a delivery of diesel, no queue’ MrJ was off like a shot, £40 later back happy. If he hadn’t got fuel by Wednesday, he couldn’t get to work, the value of a local.
Wishes have no expiry date soop, nor does our hope and love, tomorrow it is then ?.

Bellanonna my DD works in a school, ironically caught it on summer break, I hope it’s a minor episode.

I think it was on a What's for Dinner? thread that I read of a combination of bacon, leek and mushrooms in crème fraîche served with pasta. I tried it today and it was really good. We only had couscous and spaghetti so I used couscous.

Baggs recommends ? and thank you to whoever mentioned it.

I’ve had a good day, at the gym this morning for the Aqua splash about and then coffee and a cake in town with a pal. I had my usual shopping list from DD2 too as I’m her personal shopper or so she thinks.
Funnily enough there’s no frozen peas or much frozen veg at all in Tesco’s today but no shortage of petrol and no queues …

We had a torrential downpour early today but after that we've had the sunshine again ? although rather cooler than of late. soop you really mustn't - it's perfect ?. It sounds like Duncan is up to mischief somewhere - I'm just hearing Mr BA telling him "no!!" Haha!! Prawn jalfrezi here tonight - mine will have lots of yogurt to cool it down - I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to spicy food ?. Enjoy the rest of Monday everyone

Bellanonna I too hope that your daughter's symptoms remain manageable. Out granddaughter and grandson have had Covid. They didn't need to go into hospital, although they still feel somewhat "washed out".

You have all been busy coming and going and doing stuff. We have an early start tomorrow. We shall not be home until very late. You will be in my thoughts throughout the day. I would like to believe that, on Wednesday, I may have something of a positive nature to share with you. My fountain of hope continues to spring.

Teacher daughter has just become positive - lots of it going around the school. I hope she has it mildly.

She has cancelled my birthday lunch at the weekend (a trivial matter by comparison) and we will have it later on when she feels better. I think teachers are particularly at risk. I’d love to think that this time next year the virus will have mutated to something less harmful.

Not much happening in the dusty household at the moment. I’m very impressed by Urms’ lil miss’s collection of princesses though and glad that she has ‘only’ got a nasty cold, also that your journey back was swift and safe Urms.

Muse the amount of work that you and your husband have put in is tremendous and the house is looking very impressive now. I like the idea of an open weekend for everyone involved when the time is right.

Tilly Trotter hello, the roses are beautiful and the way you’ve displayed them with their leaves sets off their colour so well.

DH who did too much this morning and is looking very washed out has just decided to go down to the local supermarket to pick up two essentials that we ran out of yesterday. He said it was because I would like them but I think the thought of the evening meal with out either an aperitif or a digestif ( the ice cream !) overcame him.
The essentials being the evening treat of a glass of wine before and a mini magnum after dinner. We are obviously addicted.

We were invited to call in to have a catch up with pals in the village. That was at eleven this morning. We stayed a very long time and had lunch. Now, of course, I have to get a move on in order to catch up with jobs around the house. Later, I shall need to return to catch up in our bustling kitchen. It's all go!

Good news re your Grand-daughter Urms and yes now we think Covid whereas before we'd just think 'its a cold/cough etc. I had a heavy cold a few weeks back and tested twice (almost convinced it was Covid despite being double vaxxed etc) both tests came back negative.

We are in Staffordshire today looking after B.I have been tasked with taking him to look at the nursery attached to the local primary school today and deciding if it is the right school for him.DD and SIL are both teachers so unable to take him.They have read all the ofsted reports and talked to some of the staff members but it is just me and B today.Quite a responsibility but nice they trust me!
