Good morning from a brightish North Leicestershire.

It poured with rain while we watched Bertie play football yesterday - I thought my days of standing on the sidelines were over - obviously not.

Pootling and faffing day here while DH does some volunteering and then both of us are having our flu jabs.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all. It’s a grey start but supposed to brighten up later.

Yesterday we went into the city centre for a few hours.DH had to renew his rail card and we did a bit of shopping too. Didn’t go looking for one but came across a lovely bag and he treated it to me as an early Birthday present - lucky me. Then we ended up having lunch out at an Italian place.

Today I’m catching up with housework, need to pop out to get a Birthday card and gift bag, wash my hair, catch up with my dad and I’m sure a few other things that elude me at this time.
Grannnygravy I am so sorry to hear about your GC it must be such a worry for the family.

Grandmattie a difficult day but thinking of you. Stay strong ?

Wishing everyone a good day.
Take care.

Good morning everyone. It is dry but dull outside. Feeling a bit down today after sad news about a friend so will keep busy
House jobs to do, some ironing and food shopping. If it stays dry , the grass needs cutting.
GrannyGravy13 so sorry to hear your DGC is having such a horrible time
grandMattie another difficult day for you ?
Harrigran pleased your husband could join in even though it was for a short time.
Hope everyone can find a smile today.

Good morning everyone from a bright Northampton. If it stays dry I shall be cutting the grass this afternoon. But first it's yoga this morning, so will have to be ready to be picked up at 9am.

The DGDs went home yesterday afternoon; it was lovely having them, making the house feel like a home again. Elder DGD made burgers from scratch at lunchtime yesterday; it was her Catering homework, to practise making them, before she makes them in school this week. They tasted delicious.

Mick, I have just booked a ticket at our local arthouse cinema to see the new James Bond; I have managed to get a socially distanced screening - I shall be the only person sitting in my row! Looking forward to it.

Have a pleasant Monday, everyone. grandMattie flowers

Good Morning all from a dry and sunny Severnside.

The dog and I were woken early from the smoke alarm flat battery chirp. Didn’t please either of us, I went up the step ladder and he took himself off to the end of the garden and wouldn’t come in, even when I rattled the treat bag. Luckily I knew where he was because I could see his glow collar and it wasn’t moving. I found him lying down in the leaves.

So a sniff the neighbourhood walk, washing and ironing for me today.

Take care all ?and grandMattie ?

Morning Mick and all

Yep it’s grey here in S E Essex

Opticians at 9am, it’s the one where you cannot drive afterwards so I shall walk. Another part of our water main has split on our road, this time at the junction with the A road into London, the junction is closed in all directions for most of the week, so chaos round here for the next few days…

You are being very strong grandMattie
remember to take care of yourself ??

One of my GC is being horribly bullied at school, so much so that the police are now involved, it is so sad, why are children so cruel?

Keep safe and well folks ?‍♀️?

Good morning from a dry NE where it is slightly cooler.
Family visited minus teenage GD who stayed at home to do her homework. DH came downstairs for a while but not the whole visit.
Nothing on the calendar for today so will catch up with paperwork and do repeat prescription.
Thinking of you all.

cornergran Mon 20-Sept-21 07:04:33

grandMattie flowers and a hug.

Good morning from a damp E Kent. Rain at last, the first we’ve had for a month!
Early start, leaving just after 8 to let the clearers into Philip’s house. Another hard day, another step on the way. The pain is lessening…
I hope you all have a good, day, pain and anxiety free. ??????☀️☀️?☀️☀️❤️❤️

Good morning from Essex by the sea where it is grey and overcast. We had rain yesterday evening and I think more is forecast.
A little housework this morning, some ironing and packing ready to visit DD1 tomorrow. I'm going to look after the three girls so daughter and son in law can have a couple of days away.
It's going to be interesting getting them up, ready and to school on time.
Enjoy Monday everyone xxx

Morning Mick, morning All Sunny day forecast for our corner of Somerset.

Covid top ups accomplished yesterday. All incredibly well organised, a full weekend of 12 hour days for the team involved. Hope to wander out for a change of scene today, coffee on the sea front to give Mr C a break. Other than that a quiet one for us. Need to sort car insurance and a mobile phone SIM contract, neither are fun activities - perhaps tomorrow grin.

Take care everyone, hope Monday is kind to us all.

Good morning Mick and all to come.
Nice to collect Rosie and have her home - she couldn’t jump into the car quick enough yesterday but it is a relief that she seems happy enough to go too. .
Art History again in this afternoon - we’re looking at “lost masterpieces” - whether destroyed, stolen or just “lost” over the centuries. Lovely group of people and an excellent tutor.
Wishing you all a pleasant day and for those with health worries or sadness TOYA .

Good morning Mick and all who follow. It's dry here hope the day is as nice as yesterday front lawn can be mowed.
Another early start here at the abbey. We are waiting on a plumber time given between 8 and 1. With DH having to take one of his tablets 1hr before food it makes it an early call.
Nothing else planned for the day.
Duck in plum sauce for dinner.
Enjoy your day everyone and may you all find some ?

Ashcombe Mon 20-Sept-21 06:20:08

Good morning, everyone, from the Sarthe where it’s still dark.

DH continues to make limited progress with his recovery but does tire easily, despite a regular afternoon nap. Use of pain relief is minimal which is good and he’s enjoying contributing to cooking now, usually with wine! ?

I hope this is the start of a better week for those who are suffering, with fine weather for those on holiday. ???☀️?
